reading through r/teacher is wild, if there was ever a part of me that wanted to become a teacher someday it is absolutely SQUASHED
#kids are fucking menaces#luckily i'm in an advanced humanities program so i don't have to interact with those kinds of idiots#my classes are mostly girls (humanities) who are the quiet polite smart types#although the younger level of my program was at poor school and some of those posts rang true#i'm sooooo glad my school is whole-magnet now#like kids will be out there bringing vapes and drugs to school while cursing out teachers and then when teachers expect them to#be able to read and do math they're suddenly ableist lmfaoooo#the tiktok propaganda saying teachers are just former mean girls is 100% coming from kids who just got told they're gonna fail 7th grade#i have so much respect for the people still coming into this fucking field#cause those types of people aren't mean girls at heart they're just forced to become strict in order to survive#when they're literally surrounded for 12 hours a day by the human equivalents of cbat#eve's posts#terf safe
