oh god dammit. well i guess you asked for it before i try and explain that first i need to explain what ghosts are made of and how they take form in my funky ghost lore so anyways ghosts are made of ectoplasm upon death ghosts will slowly form a new body out of this stuff the form usually depends on how the ghost died or how they looked before they died but other there are other factors that don't matter at the moment so i wont explain them i should also mention that there are multiple kinds of ghosts ones that died and turned into ghosts and ghosts that didn't die and were either the result of ghosts reproducing with other ghosts(or humans but that's a whole other can of worms I'm not prepared to get into) or spawned because of a large amount of magical and often supernatural energy so how do ghosts reproduce? there's 2 methods the magic one and the one that involves 2 or more ghosts mixing ectoplasm magic is simple i don't think i need to explain much here but one thing to note is that the results of using magic are often very random and usually wont look similar to the parents and then we have ectoplasm mixing yea this might aswell just be called the ghost version of fucking I'm sorry

so basically in order for it to happen ghosts will usually phase tails and just sit like that for hours until eventually the ectoplasm the ghosts are made of mixes causing a separate entity usually similar in looks to its parents is created the parent it would look more similar to would depend on who it split off from
