I want to ask about Berro but I am not quite sure what to ask,

What exactly is Berro’s story so to speak? I remember you mentioning bits and pieces but that is about it,

well all i have rn is,

berro was born to the king an queen of elves, who before him had entirely abstained from having children (they had no interest in it, but agreed they needed a heir to the throne, and if they died childless it would be left to popular vote).

while still an infant, he was stolen by an insectoid (a grasshopper named pirou) who was planning on using him as blackmail or simply killing him outright. she was charmed by him, however, so decided to simply take care of him until she could find someone she trusted to drop him off to (elven babby charm hormones are fairly nonsensical and also she's sort of a sap)

after a few months of surveying, she found masarath: a poor but kind young woman who was rising up the ranks of her job surprisingly quick. after making sure that she'd be able to actually take care of berro, pirou.. well i'm not sure if i want to keep the utterly hilarious "dropped him behind a dumpster and hoped masa picked him up" or the also hilarious "dropped him on her balcony and hoped he wasn't picked up by a bird" but it's one of those two

anyway! masa found him, took care of him while trying to find his parents or any other relatives, and after literally everything came back as "???????? the hell?" she just adopted him

initially taking care of him Sucked because baby elves are exclusively photovores and baby ants. are not. but she eventually figured it out

he went to preschool and entered school at fairly normal ages, got pretty average grades (though with some help from masa he managed to get Very good math grades). in school he made TONS of good friends, a lot of which he has today!!! most people here already know his best friends: april may and wisteria lastnamepending !!!

during highschool he plays a lotta this game called flyball. i've vaguely mentioned it but basically it's just like rugby but you are flying . i'm sooo creative

when he's 16 he meets loki/lein

when he's 17 he ends up getting invited to the first multi-species flyball tournament! some species have differences in their flight and such, like a fly and dragonfly are both a bit faster than most beetles, so it took a while to make up regulations and stuff to keep everything equal!

after the tournament is concluded, a video of it is posted online, aaand since berro was on the winning team he was in a lot of it. and eventually the video is found by someone who can identify the wing signatures (sort of like VERY large fingerprints but more genetic) of elves, specifically elven royalty.

so berro is brought to the king and queen who find he's their missing son. i havent decided what quite happens but masa avoids legal issues because of Somehow and berro is basically trapped in christianity for like a month until april an wist rescue his ass
