Upon Alberich averting his eyes, Adrian, with his crimson hood down, tilted his head to the side so that it angled diagonally. Sometimes, he wished he could read the thoughts of other people to understand what possessed them to react in the ways they did, and this time certainly counted. Truth be told, the sorcerer mystified him. Mayhaps the former Carian Knight had come off more forward and with far more weighty implications than he intended. But he had put his foot in his mouth before.

When the sorcerer finally removed his hat right after Adrian felt convinced he wouldn't, the former Carian knight simply gave him an understated, almost shy smile, not too big and overbearing as he often did, but not too small as to not be noticed. He gazed right into Alberich's eyes, wordless, for several moments, unwilling to break the silence.

The grin tugged a bit wider at one corner as he angled himself—which admittedly, given his height, felt a bit awkward and might have looked just as odd and uncomfortable as he imagined it to—in order to gently rest his head on the other man's left shoulder while folding his arms. Then, he let out a soft, content sigh, feeling a warm feeling crawl up his chest that made him feel breathless in a good way.
