Trigger Warning... mentions of periods.
The vein of my existence. -MJ
"Um Master", Whumpee peaked in.
"What do you need?", Whumper didn't bother to look up from his computer work.
"My chores are all done, but my period just started is there anyway I could lay on the couch", Whumpee clutched their stomach, "I feel really nauseus and the cramps are really bad. I just threw up also."
Whumper looked up from his work, "that's fine, do you have everything you need?"
"Yes sir, I still have pads from last month", Whumpee sighed as they laid on the couch, "I was cleaning the bathroom floor when I felt really nauseated, then I threw up into the toilet. I finished cleaning and felt some cramps, so I checked myself."
Whumper nodded, "I was wondering when you would start. You've been acting weird the past few day."
"I have?", Whumpee looked up worriedly.
Whumper nodded, "nothing bad, just normal behavior for when you're about to start", Whumper grinned, "I know it's nothing you can control so I patiently deal with it."
"Oh sorry", Whumpee looked down.
"It's fine", Whumper looked back at the computer, "I've got a face time call coming in."
Whumpee nodded, knowing that meant to be quiet.
Whumpee listened to Whumper's meeting. They closed their eyes a few times before Whumper had finished.
Whumper closed the computer when the FaceTime was over.
"Are you going to sleep over there?", Whumper grinned.
"No just trying to find the awkward pose that alleviates the pain and nausea", Whumpee opened their eyes, "you turned off everything right? Even the camera?"
"Yes sir, mom, everything is off", Whumper sighed and looked over.
"You know it's amazing. I'm so nauseous, and yet I'm craving chocolate", Whumpee sighed, "why do I always crave chocolate?"
Whumper reached down the side of his seat and pulled out a few tiny chocolate bars.
He smiled as he chucked each one at Whumpee.
Whumpee sat up after the last one hit their face, "ouch", Whumpee sighed, then picked one to eat, "thanks."
"With the sacrifice of my chocolate, the beast has been fed", Whumper mocked.
Whumpee grinned, "I eat more of your chocolate than you do."
"Yeah, I know you sneak into my stash and help yourself", Whumper watched Whumpee eat the candy, "I should say try to sneak, because you don't do a good job at hiding it."
Whumpee giggled a little while opening it.
"Ow... oww", Whumpee grimaced.
"What happened?", Whumper frowned.
"I feel like I'm being stabbed in my abdomen and my pelvis. Then my hips feel like they're being pulled apart", Whumpee laid back down, "this sucks."
"Did you take anything for it?", Whumper sighed.
"No Master, I just finished my chores and came to you", Whumpee grunted, "hmmm, these cramps are coming on strong."
Whumper got up and went to the kitchen.
After a few minutes, he came back carrying some medicine and a cup of ginger alle.
"Take these", Whumper handed the medicine over, "hopefully that will reduce the pain. The ginger should help with your nausea."
Whumper left again... this time bringing back a heating pad. They plugged it in and handed it Whumpee.
After he felt Whumpee was set up properly, he went back to his computer.
"Thankyou Master", Whumpee looked up, "may I ask a question though?"
"That's fine."
"I guess two questions. How do you know what to give me to help? And, why are you so nice to me when I get my period?"
"Well, I had a mom and two sisters growing up. My mom always said, "those periods are one of the worst things a female has to go through. Some don't have it as bad as others, but it is difficult for anyone to go through. Take care of the ladies in your life and make sure you give them and easier time during their period week."
Whumper grinned, "though I'm sure my mom meant if I had a wife and daughters. Not a slave. My mom taught me how to help her and my sisters and what things they needed."
Whumpee nodded.
"Go ahead and rest, let me know if you need anything else", Whumper looked back at their computer, "I need to get back to work."
Whumpee nodded, "thankyou", they whispered.
"You're welcome", Whumper smiled.

Hi! This is my first time sending a request for anything 😅 but I was wondering if you could maybe write about the era 5 ghouls/ghoulettes comforting the reader while they're on their period? Basically, it's just comfort/fluff. My favorite is Phantom and I feel like he'd be such a sweetheart 🥹
Hi, lovely! 👋 I'd be honored to take your first request! I didn't know how exactly you wanted me to write it, so I just went with some little headcanon blurbs. Lmk if you want me to rewrite a drabble/full length fic of any specific character/s and I'll get to that when I have the time. <3 Enjoy!
Era 5 Ghouls/Ghoulettes Period Comfort Headcanons
(CW - Brief mentions of period sex/blood kink for Swiss and Sodo/Dewdrop)
Phantom:
He's a little confused, but he's got the spirit.
His knowledge on the human body, especially the female anatomy, is limited, so he's not entirely sure how to help you. He is however, a great listener, and is always willing to do whatever you ask of him to make you feel better, no hesitation.
Building off of him being a great listener, he's also more than down to just listen to you complain. Whatever you choose to talk about, period-related or not, he is sat, intently listening to every word.
He's a very curious ghoul - he wants to hear about your feelings, he wants to know what's making you feel the way you feel, and how to make it better.
Food is his love-language. Always ready to pick up whatever food you're craving at the moment, at any time. Wake him up at 2 A.M and say you want ice cream? He's immediately out the door to get ice cream. (and picking up some cookie dough for himself, too.)
Three words: Food, Movies, Cuddles. Snacking with you, bodies intertwined, while watching your favorite movies, is his own personal Heaven. (ok maybe Heaven isn't the right word but ykwim)
He's a messy eater, so make sure not to let him eat in your bed. Other than that, you're in good hands.
Rain:
If you like physical affection, you're in luck, because Rain is the unofficial King of Cuddles™️
Babies you, but not in the belittling way.
Yes, he knows you can get out of bed and do things yourself, but why would you so much as lift a finger when you have him to pamper you?
Sings to you and plays guitar for you
If you're ever feeling self-conscious during this time, he will do anything and everything in his power to make you feel beautiful
Compliments you any chance he can get, brushes your hair for you, has skincare nights with you (loves floral-scented face masks and those cucumber eye masks)
He makes sure you are very well taken care of
Mountain:
Also babies you, but unlike Rain, it does feel a little belittling. He means well, though.
Freaks out over you just getting out of bed to use the bathroom. Insists he carries you because you're "too weak and fragile to do anything in this state."
You're pretty much bedridden for a week, sorry.
Prepares healthy meals for you, loves hearing you compliment his cooking.
Insists that nature is the best medicine. Opens the windows to get you some fresh air. Will gladly go on walks with you if you manage to convince him you're fine and perfectly capable of movement.
Picks you fresh flowers
Plays with your hair to help you fall asleep
Sodo/Dewdrop:
Also doesn't really know how to help you.
Just kinda treats you like normal, unless youre having pains
Offers you painkillers, but if you'd rather not take medicine, he'll rub your stomach, your back, whatever area is bothering you.
Lucky for you, he's got the body temp of a furnace. He's your own personal heating pad.
Also suggests orgasms help reduce cramping. Doesn't push it, but he makes sure you know he doesn't mind parting the red sea
Swiss:
Oh Lord. This man. Is so horny.
Obviously he doesn't press if sex isn't something you're interested in during this time. He'll find other ways to comfort you. Though sex is his favorite way to do it.
LOVES giving massages. He'll lay down one of those hydrophobic blankets so you can free bleed while he gives you a full-body massage he might get hard
Very touchy. Cannot keep his hands off you. Constant cuddling.
Builds you a little nest of pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, anything soft and comforting to you that he can find. You basically live in a blanket fort for like a week.
You can talk to him about anything period-related. Don't bother sparing the gruesome details, TMI does not exist with him. Nothing you could say would shock him.
Cirrus:
Princess treatment, 24/7.
Fawns over you when you're having cramps, not leaving your side until you feel better.
Tells you silly stories or gossip to distract you from your cramps. Anything to get a smile out of you. Shes the ultimate yapper gf (except for maybe Aurora)
Self care nights! Bubble baths, painting each others nails, doing each others makeup, braiding each others hair (or you could just braid hers if your hair is too short)
Whispers words of affirmation in your ear as you sleep in hopes it will make you subconsciously feel better
Cumulus:
Tells you she will personally fight God for giving you a period. Mainly just to make you laugh. But she would if she could.
If Rain is the Cuddle King, then consider her the Cuddle Queen™️
So soft. So comfy. You are in for some GODLY naps.
Cooks for you and insists on feeding you herself (she's been tempted to go "here comes the airplaaane!" but she doesn't want to risk pissing you off)
Cleans up your space for you so a dirty environment doesn't cause you additional stress. Will scold you like a disappointed mother if you try to take over the work.
Sings you to sleep
Makes sure you have a comfy place to relax and a nice full belly at all times
Aurora:
Shes really not as helpful as she thinks she is, but she tries.
Shes a very energetic ghoulette, so if your idea of comfort during this time is doing as little physical activity as possible, she's gonna be a bit out of her element.
Offers to go on a run together, swearing it's the best distraction for if you have cramps.
But if you'd rather stay in bed, she will oblige. She does love cuddles. Shes very touchy.
She uses your period as an excuse to buy a shit load of candy. She ends up getting a stomach ache because she ate most of it and now you have to comfort her. At least she's cute though
Gets excited if your cycles are synced up because that means you two can free-bleed together
Brings home little trinkets for you like a crow

Periods? A Bloody Waste of Time 🩸
I'm entirely convinced at this point that anything that they tell us (women) is normal is actually bad for us. While pregnancy from male insemination can be avoided, periods are a different matter. I am certain that they are not meant to be painful at all, nor are we meant to bleed so heavily. If a period is (as some claim) truly the removal of toxins and other fluids, are we not going to analyze what the heck is intoxicating us to begin with?
dailymotion
I saw this documentary a while ago called "Red Moon: Menstruation, Culture, and the Politics of Gender" were several women were discussing the stigmatization of periods. I don't remember which part it was exactly, but they were mentioning how painful periods were an energy thing. For some women, especially those who have suffered from abuse in their past, something may energetically be going on with each monthly release. I think it even goes beyond that.
This world's version of normal seems to be in praise of degeneracy at every corner of life. Pregnancy is normal, yet many women die from it or leave with life long scars (physically and emotionally). Intercourse (which seems to skirt itself alongside pure violence) is normal, yet many women leave with disease or some form of mental disorder. Periods are normal, but many women suffer monthly from it to the point where they can become immobile for a day or two. It seems that just as man has intoxicated nature, he has intoxicated the women as well. Expertly so. Now women have convinced themselves and others that pain and suffering is normal. I found this document online discussing some doctors who observed the difference between the western women and who they called "primitive" women. The western women were described as having highly acidic bodies, whilst the other group of women had alkaline bodies.
During the study, the women who consumed more animal products were more susceptible to bleeding heavier and for a longer period during their menstrual. With the alkaline women who consumed more plant based foods, the menstruation almost ceased to exist.
Modern doctors will claim that the absence of a period is signs of a terrible condition. They'll even suggest that an eating disorder it at play. It's interesting they'll say that losing your periods is unnatural, but popping a pill full of foreign chemicals to "regulate" it is totally not cause for future concerns. Speaking of eating disorders—from a western perspective—arguably many people already have eating disorders. We eat until our bellies our stretched beyond normal, and we consume foods that are lifeless and will end up rotting in our stomachs. I do believe that an aspect of periods is normal, given their spiritual nature. In ancient times, they hinted at a connection between the cycles of the moon. This was when women could be most in tune with their bodies and souls, perhaps harnessing spirtual powers that may have been dulled any other time. Now, women are lying in bed curdling in pain during that time of the month. Not much can be done productively. Of course, not all women have this problem, but plenty do.
This is just some speculation though. For me personally, omitting meat and other animal products from my diet has changed the way I think. I'm only four months in though, and my decision to do this was spontaneous and came about due to some health concerns for mine. I have had asthma and eczema for most of my life. These are two inflammatory conditions that have left me breathless and peeling off my own skin to a gross degree. Since reducing my consumption of eggs and milk and taking out meat completely, I've been breathing better and I've had little to no rashes. As a shift to something completely plant based, I'm curious as to how it will further effect me physically alongside my future menstrual cycles as well. Again, this is just the case for myself and could effect others differently. I just know that society doesn't care for case by case conditions and wants EVERYBODY to do the exact same thing healthwise, regardless of how it effect them personally. They've been choosing death for us for centuries. Now, when some of us choose life, they want to call it dangerous pseudoscience. Spare me. Women need to get to know their own bodies on a personal level. Many modern doctors aren't healers. They're band-aid solutions. This includes female doctors, since they are getting paid too. We need to be in charge of our own health and start educating ourselves.
Periods were once considered the first curse on women. Perhaps they still are. They certainly aren't desired. This isn't to take the Christian perspective of "woman bad", but there are hidden truths within these ancient books that must be analyzed. In the case of Eve, she suffered two curses from God in Genesis 3:16:
"I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children."
And
"Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."
There's no explicit mention of periods here, but pregnancy and periods go hand in hand on the pain spectrum it seems. The second quote is also intriguing. This desire for her husband is linked to pain as well as "inequality". I believe that her desire for Adam makes them far more equal than we realize. She suffers with him in his degeneracy now, although on a different level. It's also notable that her suffering is more severe and constant. Would she have this pain if she loved "God" more than Adam? Or if she loved herself more than Adam?
There are so many questions, many left unanswered. Regardless, there can be a more optimistic lens to this. Like many curses, perhaps this one can be broken.

Mini Gastric Bypass in Punjab: A Simple and Effective Weight Loss Surgery
Obesity is a growing concern in India, and many people struggle with related health problems like diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure. For those who have tried diet, exercise, and other weight loss methods without success, bariatric surgery can be a life-changing solution. One of the most effective and increasingly popular weight loss procedures is the Mini Gastric Bypass in Punjab has become a hub for this surgery, thanks to its skilled surgeons and advanced medical facilities. In this article, we will explore what Mini Gastric Bypass is, its benefits, how it is performed, and why Punjab is an ideal destination for this surgery.
What is Mini Gastric Bypass?
The Mini Gastric Bypass is a type of weight loss surgery that combines two main mechanisms to help people lose weight: restriction and malabsorption. In simple terms, the surgery makes your stomach smaller and reroutes part of your intestines. This limits the amount of food you can eat and reduces the absorption of calories and nutrients from the food you consume.
During the surgery, the stomach is divided into two parts. The smaller portion of the stomach is then connected directly to the small intestine, bypassing a significant portion of the digestive tract. This helps in two ways:
Reduced Stomach Size: You feel full after eating much smaller amounts of food.
Bypassed Intestine: Your body absorbs fewer calories because food skips part of the digestive process.
The Mini Gastric Bypass in Punjab is a relatively simple and quick procedure compared to other bariatric surgeries. It typically takes about 1 to 2 hours and is performed using minimally invasive techniques, which means smaller incisions and a faster recovery time for patients.
Benefits of Mini Gastric Bypass
Mini Gastric Bypass surgery offers several benefits that make it an attractive option for those seeking long-term weight loss:
Significant Weight Loss: Most patients experience rapid and substantial weight loss after the surgery. It is common for individuals to lose 60-80% of their excess weight within the first year following the procedure.
Improvement in Obesity-Related Health Conditions: Many people who undergo Mini Gastric Bypass in Punjab see dramatic improvements in obesity-related health conditions like type 2 diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), sleep apnea, and joint pain. Some patients are even able to reduce or stop medications they have been taking for these conditions.
Simpler and Safer: The Mini Gastric Bypass is considered simpler and less invasive compared to traditional gastric bypass surgery. This makes it safer, with fewer complications and quicker recovery times. It is also reversible in case of any severe issues, although reversals are rarely needed.
Shorter Recovery Period: Since the surgery is performed laparoscopically (using small incisions), patients usually recover faster and experience less postoperative pain. Most people can go home within a day or two and return to their normal activities within a few weeks.
Durable and Long-Lasting Results: Unlike some weight loss procedures that may only offer short-term benefits, the results from Mini Gastric Bypass tend to be long-lasting. With proper diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes, many patients maintain their weight loss for years.
The Mini Gastric Bypass Procedure
The Mini Gastric Bypass procedure is performed under general anesthesia and takes about 1 to 2 hours. Here is a step-by-step overview of what happens during the surgery:
Anesthesia: The patient is put under general anesthesia, ensuring they are asleep and pain-free during the operation.
Laparoscopic Surgery: Small incisions (usually around 5 to 6) are made in the abdomen. A laparoscope (a small camera) and surgical instruments are inserted through these incisions to guide the surgeon.
Stomach Reduction: The surgeon divides the stomach into two parts. The smaller portion, which is about the size of a small pouch, will serve as the new stomach, limiting food intake.
Bypassing the Intestine: The smaller stomach pouch is then connected directly to the small intestine, bypassing a significant portion of the digestive tract. This reduces the absorption of calories and nutrients from food.
Closing the Incisions: After the bypass is complete, the surgeon closes the incisions with stitches or surgical staples.
The entire procedure is done with precision, and because it is minimally invasive, patients typically experience fewer complications and a faster recovery compared to open surgery.
Why Choose Punjab for Mini Gastric Bypass?
Punjab has become a popular destination for Mini Gastric Bypass in Punjab for several reasons. If you are considering this weight loss procedure, here’s why you should consider Punjab:
Highly Skilled Surgeons: Punjab is home to some of the best bariatric surgeons in Punjab, many of whom have been trained in advanced medical centers both nationally and internationally. Affordable Cost: One of the biggest advantages of having Mini Gastric Bypass in Punjab is the affordability. Compared to many other places, both in India and abroad, the cost of the surgery in Punjab is significantly lower, without compromising on the quality of care.
Comprehensive Care: Bariatric surgery is not just about the procedure itself; it involves pre-surgery counseling, post-surgery follow-up, dietary advice, and lifestyle support. In Punjab, hospitals and clinics provide a holistic approach to bariatric care, ensuring that patients receive ongoing support throughout their weight loss journey.
Growing Medical Tourism: Punjab has gained a reputation as a leading destination for medical tourism. Patients from other states and even from abroad come to Punjab for bariatric surgery because of the high standards of care and the affordable costs.
Conclusion
The Mini Gastric Bypass in Punjab is a highly effective, safe, and simple weight loss surgery that can offer significant health benefits and long-term weight loss. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒅 𝒈𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒆 🌸
Hey girlies!! It’s probably around that time of the month if you’re reading this. I’ll be giving you tips and information on how to continue living your best life while on your period. It can be a struggle to get up these mornings and the urge to bedrott is thriving but none the less we should recognize that isn’t healthy!!
𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑 𝒂 𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒆
➼ Plan ahead according to your period cramps is pretty important, plan days where you can focus on resting up. And avoid making plans during these days. Usually periods tend to be more difficult during the first two days.
➼ Make sure you wake up have a glass of water next to you, if you have the latest trending water bottle (Stanley’s) I’ve seen people say they’re motivated to drink more, which is definitely what we need. Drinking this water will help flush out toxins earlier in the morning and keep you hydrated. I also like to take a few minutes in the morning to meditate but this is something I have generally integrated into my mornings
➼ Placing a heating pad on your stomach to reduce pain while your lounging. The YUYU bottle is my favorite, I found out about through one of my favorite Youtuber's Tam Kaur.
➼ Have a breakfast with plenty of Vitamin D and fruits; mangoes, rasberries, apples, oranges. I like to have yogurt and granola along with these fruits.
➼ Taking a warm shower or bath is a must for me, and changing you're pad every 2-3 hours helps maintain hygiene. I like to have a facemask on before doing my morning skincare-just makes me feel like I'm getting ready .
➼ Slipping into a juicy couture, or white fox lounge set can help you feel comfy and presentable. I usually Journal or set up my week on my computer for myself while I lay on my bed, this way I'm slowly getting work done. Its also a good habit to catch up on reading during this time, I personally am reading Metamorphosis by F. Kafka.
➼ After a work block its time for lunch, I usually like going for a salad around this time or soup with some bread from my carb cravings, which is meal prepped from the day before or doordashed. This way i don't overexert myself and can relax.
➼ Eating filling and nourishing food while watching a comfort show is the goal! The rest of the day is filled with naps and watching movies as I snack on dark chocolate(my fav!!<333)
➼ I end my nights with warm food, treated by my parents or take out, and some Raspberry tea which has overall helped me with my period cramps. Obviously skincare and the general night routine which sets me up for success tomorrow.
Thank you for reading, Stay motivated and healthy <33

Follow-Up Appointments: Attend regular follow-ups with your bariatric surgeon and healthcare team.
Nutritional Counseling: Work with a nutritionist to fine-tune your diet and ensure you’re meeting nutritional goals. Blood Tests: Periodic blood tests will monitor vitamin and mineral levels to prevent deficiencies.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Intragastric Balloon-Weight Loss Surgery
Intragastric balloon (IGB) is a non-surgical weight loss surgery that has gained popularity in recent years as a safe and effective option for individuals struggling with obesity. Despite its growing recognition, many people still have questions about this innovative treatment. In this blog, we will address some of the most frequently asked questions about the intragastric balloon, providing clarity and insights to help you make informed decisions about your weight loss journey.
What is an Intragastric Balloon?
An intragastric balloon is a soft, silicone balloon that is placed inside the stomach through an endoscopic procedure. Once in place, the balloon is filled with saline solution, partially filling the stomach and creating a feeling of fullness. This reduces the amount of food the stomach can hold, leading to decreased calorie intake and weight loss.
How Does the Intragastric Balloon Aid in Weight Loss?
The intragastric balloon helps with weight loss by creating a sense of fullness, which reduces hunger and promotes portion control. By occupying space in the stomach, the balloon restricts food intake and encourages healthier eating habits. Additionally, the presence of the balloon may delay gastric emptying, leading to prolonged feelings of fullness and reduced appetite.
Who is a Candidate for Intragastric Balloon?
Intragastric balloon may be recommended for individuals who are overweight or obese and have not been successful with traditional weight loss methods such as diet and exercise. Candidates typically have a body mass index (BMI) between 30 and 40, although eligibility criteria may vary depending on individual health factors.
Is the Procedure Safe?
The intragastric balloon procedure is considered safe when performed by a qualified healthcare provider in a medical facility. Like any medical procedure, there are potential risks and complications, including nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and balloon deflation. However, serious complications are rare, and the benefits of weight loss often outweigh the risks for eligible candidates.
How Long Does the Intragastric Balloon Stay in the Stomach?
The intragastric balloon is typically left in place for a period of six to twelve months, depending on the type of balloon used and individual patient goals. During this time, patients work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to adopt healthy lifestyle habits and maximize weight loss.
What Happens After the Balloon is Removed?
After the intragastric balloon is removed, patients continue to follow a personalized diet and exercise plan to maintain their weight loss. The balloon removal procedure is usually performed endoscopically under sedation and is relatively quick and straightforward.
How Much Weight Can I Expect to Lose with the Intragastric Balloon?
Weight loss results with the intragastric balloon vary depending on factors such as starting weight, adherence to diet and exercise, and individual metabolism. On average, patients may expect to lose between 10% and 15% of their total body weight during the time the balloon is in place.
Is the Intragastric Balloon Reversible?
Yes, the intragastric balloon is reversible. If necessary, the balloon can be removed at any time during the treatment period. However, for optimal weight loss results, it is recommended to keep the balloon in place for the prescribed duration and to adhere to the recommended lifestyle changes.

Intermittent fasting day 4
Was supposed to post this yesterday, but here it is now.
I woke up a bit late and had my usual breakfast and coffee at around 1. It was filling as usual.
I went to Larnaca with my dad yesterday and had a pasta lunch at around 5:30/5:45. It was very filling. It had salmon, tomatoes, olives, and parmesan cheese. As a result, because I was full, I did not have dinner. I had my Greek yogurt evening snack at around 8:45 and ended my day. I was not hungry at night.
I am not hungry during my feeding period, nor am I hungry between when it ends and when I go to sleep. Because I'm on vacation I am sleeping in quite often. So I wake up at 1 or even a bit before. I also sleep pretty late on some nights and will sometimes wake up in the middle of the night. And I'm not hungry in any of these cases.
What I am concerned about is how I'm able to hold the fast between when I wake up early for work and my first meal at 1. I will be waking up early and not sleeping in, and will have work to do in the morning before my feeding window begins. So I don't know how this is going to work out.
I also drink coffee with almond milk (unsweetened). So I want to see if the almond milk breaks my fast. I love drinking coffee and coffee is an appetite suppressant, so it helps to drink it during my fasting period specifically before I go to work. But I'm just concerned if the almond milk will break my fast. I do not like plain black coffee so I have to add almond milk to it. But we will see.
I think what really helps with keeping me full is (a) my filling meals and snacks and (b) my supplements. Back when I was restricting calories in 2016-2019 I was not taking supplements, so by default I had nutritional deficiencies. Also I was eating a lot of diet foods and was limiting my caloric intake by a lot which made me miss out on being able to eat a lot of nutrient dense foods. I did eat some healthy and filling foods, but I was to scared to eat too much. That's another thing that made me nutrient deficient. I ate diet foods like sugar free lattes, protein bars, and this awful sugar free cookie dough I used to make with peanut butter, cream cheese, stevia, and stevia sweetened chocolate chips.
My hair was falling out and I had dry skin, even worse eczema, dental problems, bad mood, dizzy, painful and irregular period cycles, etc... I was NOT feeling well, despite "not eating sugar" and eating low calorie. Excess sugar is terrible for your health, but cutting it out completely is not a good idea. I think the better solution is to get yourself used to less sweet stuff like dark chocolate and mocha that isn't too sweet so when you see sweeter snacks like milk and white chocolate, caramel, skittles, jelly beans, jolly ranchers, cake, ice cream, and cookies then they aren't as tempting.
On the same note, eating filling meals with a good amount of protein, fat, and complex carbs will prevent cravings for savory snacks and meals like chips, pizza, french fries, burgers, breadsticks, and chicken tenders. These foods are not "sweet", but they are loaded with saturated fat (fat is not bad but too much is, just like sugar) and they contain simple carbs like white bread which is converted to sugar in your body and raises your blood sugar and messes with your insulin resistance. Eating them moderately helps, just not all the time.
My supplements helped reduce my cravings for these foods, intermittent fasting will push it a step further. Not only helping with reducing sugar intake, but also the fact that intermittent fasting is excelling for insulin resistance and maintaining healthy blood glucose levels. Same with power walking.
And back in the day during my calorie restrictive days, I used to suppress my appetite with sugar free gum, tea, sugar free lattes, and diet coke. And I was hungry and would feel dizzy and would experience stomach gurgling and hunger pangs, telling myself it's okay because if I keep it up I will soon be thin. Of course if you put a pizza or chocolate bar in front of me I would have devoured it.
Taking my supplements helps too because they are a good source of vitamins and nutrients. Not used as meal replacements of course, but they are "supplementing" my body with these essential vitamins and minerals and omega 3 fatty acids. I need to take them otherwise my cravings for junk food and a slew of other health issues will come back like getting sick and painful eczema and even worse skin and hair and dental and gum issues as well as my hair falling out and nails breaking off.
So if I can do the 2 above, along with walking, I will be burning fat without starving. Starving means I had a nutritional deficiency. With proper supplementation and filling meals, even with fasting, I won't experience the same hunger episodes I had in 2016-2019.

Studies have also shown that adding flaxseeds to the diet can improve skin health and provide anti-aging benefits. What is the Best Way to Eat Flax Seeds? One of the best ways to eat flax seeds is to grind them up to create a flour-like consistency. This makes it easier for your body to absorb the nutrients found in flax seeds. You can then use this ground-up form in baking, smoothies, oatmeal, granola bars, and more. Additionally, some people prefer to eat flax seeds whole, adding them to yogurt, salads, sandwiches, and soups. Flax seeds can also be incorporated into your diet by taking flaxseed oil or ground flaxseed supplements. If you're looking for a way to mix up your routine, you can try different flavors such as cocoa, orange-cinnamon, and more. For an even healthier option, try eating them raw as they are high in fiber and protein content. With these options and methods, you can easily add flax seeds to your diet. What are the Potential Side Effects of Eating Flax Seeds? Although Flax Seeds are generally considered safe to consume, there can be potential side effects that one should be aware of when incorporating them into their diet. Firstly, Flax Seeds contain compounds known as 'goitrogens', which can decrease the uptake of iodine in the thyroid if overconsumed and can lead to a condition of hypothyroidism. Secondly, consuming too much Flax Seed may also lead to bloating, stomach cramps and diarrhea, due to their high fiber content. Therefore, it is recommended to start introducing Flax Seed slowly and make sure to drink plenty of water when consuming. It is also recommended to speak with a registered dietitian or a physician before increasing Flax Seed intake. What was the Eating Plan Used During the 4 Week Period? The eating plan for the four week period was focused on reducing the overall calorie intake and as well as balancing meals to include whole and unprocessed foods. Foods such as fresh vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, fruits, nuts, and healthy fats, along with flax seed, were the main components of the diet. Portion sizes were carefully monitored during the period to ensure that calorie reduction occurred without creating and extreme changes in the individual's lifestyle or eating habits. Supplements such as flax seed were added to the individual's diet in the form of smoothies and baked goods, created with alternative grains such as quinoa, amaranth, or buckwheat. Additional foods that were added to the individual's diet included high-fiber vegetables, low-fat dairy, plant-based proteins, and unsaturated fats. The individual's diet was also carefully monitored to assess the effect of including flax seed on weight loss. Changes in energy levels and fat burning were closely tracked as well. How Does Eating Flax Seeds Help in Weight Loss? Flax seeds are known to be packed with fiber, proteins, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. This mix of nutrients helps in weight loss by making one feel full faster due to its high fiber content and by curbing cravings. Research also suggests that the fiber content of flax seeds helps to reduce body fat. Flax seed contains alpha-linolenic acid or ALA which may act as an appetite suppressant by making one feel fuller for a longer period. Flax seeds can also help in weight loss as they help in reducing inflammation in the body. This plays an important role in reducing weight and belly fat. As per a study, people who consumed flax seeds regularly for a period of four weeks saw a reduction in waist size and weight. It also causes a reduction in the levels of stress hormone cortisol which can impact weight gain. What Other Habits Aided Weight Loss During the 4 Week Period? In addition to eating flax seeds to aid weight loss, there were certain habits utilized during the four week period that also promoted weight loss. To begin with, individuals partaking in the plan cut their caloric intake significantly. By decreasing overall caloric intake, the body can begin to burn fat stored in the body for energy. Exercise was also a major factor in helping individuals lose weight. Exercise such as walking, jogging, and lifting weights were recommended to increase metabolism and burn stored fat. An increase in activity levels means more calories are burned resulting in weight loss. The diet consisted of an ample amount of fresh fruits and vegetables to provide the body with essential vitamins and minerals it needs. Whole grains and lean proteins were also recommended to ensure the body stays energized and full between meals. Eating frequent, healthy meals throughout the day will help stabilize blood sugar and keep away cravings. Finally, substituting sugary and processed foods with healthier alternatives helped reduce calorie intake. Eating healthier options can satisfy hunger, keep energy levels up, and keep individuals on track with their weight loss goals. How to Measure and Track Weight Loss Progress? Monitoring and tracking weight loss progress is an essential step to ensure successful results. To begin measuring weight loss progress, setting achievable goals is a great place to start. These goals should be realistic and rely on a combination of multiple factors such as weight, body fat, and waist circumference. Tracking progress can be done in a number of different ways such as creating a written log or using technology like a smartphone app. Regularly recording and measuring weight loss is important for tracking progress and staying motivated. Keeping a detailed record of diet and exercise can help to measure progress and identify any patterns that need adjusting. This way progress, either positive or negative, can be quickly identified and plans for improvement can be formulated. Additionally, tracking progress and results also helps to identify accomplishments and remain enthusiastic about the process. What Tools are Available to Measure and Track Weight Loss Progress? There are a variety of tools available to help measure and track weight loss progress. These include body weight scales, body fat calipers, body measurement tape, and fitness trackers like Fitbit, Apple Watch, or Garmin. Additionally, tracking dietary intake, physical activity, and even body measurements can help track progress and make adjustments as needed. Read the full article

What you need to know about Ovarian Cancer
Ovarian cancer is a type of cancer that originates in the ovaries, which are the female reproductive organs responsible for producing eggs. It can occur at any age, but is most commonly diagnosed in women between the ages of 40 and 60 years. In some cases, it can also occur in younger women.
Ovarian cancer is the second most common type of gynecological cancer, after endometrial cancer, and it is the fifth most common cause of cancer-related deaths in women worldwide. The symptoms of ovarian cancer can be vague and nonspecific, which can make it difficult to detect at an early stage. Some of the symptoms may include abdominal pain, bloating, feeling full quickly, urinary symptoms, and fatigue.
There are several different types of ovarian cancer, and the treatment options will depend on the stage and type of cancer, as well as the patient’s overall health. Treatment options may include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. It is important for women to talk to their healthcare provider if they experience any persistent symptoms or have a family history of ovarian or breast cancer.
Ovarian cancer may not produce any symptoms in its early stages, which makes it difficult to diagnose. However, as the cancer progresses, symptoms may start to appear.
Abdominal or pelvic pain, difficulty eating, indigestion, or stomach pain may be caused by the growing tumor in the ovaries, which can put pressure on the surrounding organs. Feeling full quickly, even after only eating a small amount, nausea, diarrhea, or constipation may also be caused by the tumor pressing on the stomach and intestines.
Frequent urination may occur if the tumor is pressing on the bladder, while loss of appetite and unexplained weight gain or weight loss may be due to hormonal changes caused by the cancer.
Finally, abnormal vaginal bleeding is a common symptom of ovarian cancer, which may occur between menstrual periods, after menopause, or during sexual intercourse.
If you experience any of these symptoms, it’s important to consult a doctor immediately. Your doctor may recommend further tests, such as a pelvic exam, blood tests, or imaging tests, to determine if you have ovarian cancer or not. Early detection of ovarian cancer can increase the chances of successful treatment and recovery.
Risk Factors of Ovarian Cancer:
Family history of ovarian cancer, especially among a mother, siblings, or daughters
Aged 50 years and older
Having a family history of ovarian cancer, breast cancer, or colorectal cancer
Have never given birth or have had trouble getting pregnant.
How Ovarian Cancer is Treated?
Ovarian cancer is a complex disease, and the treatment approach can vary depending on several factors. Some of the factors that doctors consider when deciding on a treatment plan for ovarian cancer include the stage of the cancer, the type of cancer, the age and overall health of the patient, and whether the cancer has spread to other parts of the body.
The most common treatment options for ovarian cancer include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, either alone or in combination.
Surgery is usually the first line of treatment for ovarian cancer, and it may involve removing one or both ovaries, the fallopian tubes, and the uterus.
Chemotherapy and radiation therapy are often used in combination with surgery to help destroy any remaining cancer cells.
It’s important for patients with ovarian cancer to work closely with their doctors to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to their specific needs. This may involve consulting with a team of specialists, including gynecologic oncologists, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists, who can provide expert guidance on the best course of treatment for each individual patient.
Ovarian Cancer Prevention
While there is no sure way to prevent ovarian cancer, there are some risk factors that can be managed to reduce the chances of developing the disease. These include:
Birth control: Taking birth control pills can reduce the risk of ovarian cancer, especially if taken for a long period.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Women who have had at least one full-term pregnancy and have breastfed may have a lower risk of developing ovarian cancer.
Healthy diet: Eating a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, and low in saturated fats, may help reduce the risk of ovarian cancer.
Physical activity: Regular exercise has been shown to reduce the risk of many types of cancer, including ovarian cancer.
Avoiding smoking: Smoking has been linked to an increased risk of ovarian cancer, so avoiding smoking or quitting smoking may help reduce the risk.
It is also important to be aware of any symptoms of ovarian cancer, such as bloating, pelvic pain, and changes in bowel or bladder habits. If you experience any of these symptoms, you should see your healthcare provider right away. Early detection is key to successful treatment of ovarian cancer.
