I love doomed gothic romance#what if I was the world's loneliest ghost drifting in and out of existence observing humans from a position of semi-omniscient detachment#seeking connection with those in crisis desperate for someone to acknowledge my pain#but they could only reject me because they feared me too much#and I appeared to you while you were mourning your recently deceased older brother whom you idolized#and you feared me but were too curious to push me away so I entrusted to you the pocket watch my soul was tethered to#and as we got to know each other I found in you the things I could never have in life#and you found in me a way to understand your suffering#and over time I manipulated you into studying necromancy under the guise of helping you resurrect your brother#but really it was me I wanted you to resurrect so we could properly be together#but I could never forgive myself for corrupting you and you were too consumed by your grief to love me the way I wanted you to anyway#haha just kidding... unless...?
