Vent: TW: bullying

I'd rather be hurt than you, which is bad but I don't think I care about myself enough.

I'd rather be sick than sick, and even that doesn't make any sense.

I feel sick but I'm not sure if I'm willing to keep feeling that way anymore. I don't think I am. I've been trying to stop myself, but I don't know how.

Doing things for myself hurts people so in my mind, if that's the case, I just won't.

What's the point.

Doing things for my own happiness seems pointless sometimes when I feel so much guilt from it.

Being happy always makes me feel so guilty. It makes me hate happiness sometimes. I just feel so afraid. And I don't want to hurt someone with my happiness. Or with my smile.

I don't want to hurt anybody.

I have/had this bully since 6th grade.

One the first day of school he ask me if liked him and I just didn't respond. We were the only people in the hallway. I just waited for him to go back inside the class.

He would continue to bother me throughout the school year.

One day he was being very bothersome to me.

So I said I was going to stab him. It was very out of character for me at the time.

I felt really bad about it, even though he had been bullying me the whole year.

One day he was doing that thing where you block where the other tries to go. It was getting too annoying so I just pushed him.

He started acting like he was my dad or something and told me to call him sir.

I did, but I don't know why. I shouldn't have been afraid. He was really short then and I probably could have overpowered him, but I got scared of hurting him.

Last year he did the same thing, getting in my way on purpose. So I just copied him. It started looking like we were dancing or something.

I don't know if I thought the magic of friendship would happen or something, because I thought he'd leave me alone after that.

And of course he didn't.

This year a few months ago, when I was still swimming, my braids had started to loosen.

He commented on them and just wouldn't stop talking.

It was the first time that I've felt ugly in a while.

I can never get the courage to just make him leave me alone.

I'm not even scared to hurt him anymore. It just seems pointless.
