#too late I realized that the book was probably Supposed to be hidden underneath the footrest and not unintentionally left there#I then decided to be a little bit cruel and place it on top of another stack of books instead of hiding it under the footrest again#I am having so much fun imagining the owners coming home and seeing that book in plain sight and just having a moment of 'oh. oh shit.'#as they put two and two together#I put it cover down so I can have plausible deniability of 'oh I did not see the cover I thought it was just another book that had gotten#wedged under the footrest!' and also so it's a little more subtle#they don't have kids or anything so I don't think it'll do too much actual harm to anyone#and it's in the office so I doubt company would be going in there#and I mean hey at least they'll know that their cleaning staff are thorough enough to lift footrests#no id#don't have the energy atm. if someone else writes one I will love them forever#residential cleaning#peer reviewed from discord
