I'm sorry but some of you should think twice before posting mean things like this. Yes, his books are published and owned by Disney. Yes, he's openly, explicitly criticising Disney.
The easy option would be to be quiet, hope that if you don't complain then the company won't go after you, only after your fellow writers. He didn't do that, he spoke out against this bullshit behaviour by the company who owns his work and is producing more stuff based on his work. He's being brave here to speak the truth against his employer.
Because that's how it works! If you let it slide when the company who owns your work exploits and then mistreats your fellow workers, then what's stopping them from doing the same to you? Without solidarity we're lost. And particularly those who are a bit more lucky and can afford to be louder about this, which he knows he is.
There's things to be said about boycotting and the ways in which famous artists could work with cooperatives, but if it were up to the people who comment this kind of things on this post, nobody would ever be able to make a change because we all live in capitalism and have to make a living, which sadly at this point means it's often not in an ethical cooperative. It's the same old "you claim to be a communist but have an iPhone? 🤨" that any conservative says but you think that by calling the person who is taking a stance against this behaviour from multinational corporations "old white man" it's suddenly good?

Also please incorporate a class analysis to your view of society. An old white man who doesn't own the means of production is right in complaining against the corporation who controls his work and steals his surplus value. Also class ≠ fame and even class ≠ wealth, it's about the relationship of power and exploitation.
