#been seeing a lot of posts about ccs feeling frustrated/burnt out#and while i'm not a creative on this site#my literal job is making music#and maybe it's just the half a decade talking#but i get where they're coming from#it's all about churning out a hit as quickly as possible#quality who? as long as it's short enough because attention spans#oh and if it goes viral on the devil app aka tiktok? then you've succeeded as a songwriter/producer#we're really sacrificing quality for the sake of consumption at a rapid pace#i blame this on instant gratification culture#people just watch and listen without taking a breath to really appreciate the art#and it fucking sucks in all honesty#anyway#makes me glad that i'm taking the following year or so off#because between this and life going in a topsy turvy direction?#yeah i can only take so much at a time#steph.text
