that's a good point about the language and tone barriers...and i do know from experience sometimes it's easy to have disproportionate responses over blorbo related things. happens to the best of us i guess! it's easy to interpret things online in the least generous way it's just how social media is nowadays. i've been trying to work on that myself. <3

yes exactly! i have probably in the past jumped very quickly to defend daniel when someone else has said something bad about him but like we're all fucking human here. however, i think one of the worst and growing traits on tumblr is most people's need to have a "gotcha" moment about their least fave. to have a hit post that is full of hater-isms, so that they're deemed funny or whatever by fellow haters. i've seen it more and more about various drivers and it's like....just enjoy ur blorbo and move on. i just don't have an interest in calling people names in tags, especially when for some people, it might just be a genuine language barrier or a different read of the article. and like i said, it literally makes you NO BETTER than the people who are being the original haters? before i posted about that daniel article, i was in the gc's being like "guys as a daniel fan, am i being ignorant and is this actually rude or not?" cause like yeah, we can be blind towards our favs and i just think it's sometimes better to take a step back rather than react straight away?
