I appreciate all the steps but it is a lot to deal with especially on a Friday

It's great and it's also tiring because I'm pretty sure he just needs to do all his steps to make sure he feels complete and that he covered it all. For example, he just felt the need to cover why he was getting a warning message that he has data that was not saved to his table when he tried to exit. I just let him talk because he's recording a training session as well.
