btw...I'm seriously studying Spanish again
#and I'm in pain#we're having a huge surge of Spanish-speaking/ELL families coming to the library at the end of the month#and most of them will probably try to make library cards#well our only Spanish-speaker is my coworker whose family is from Honduras and she only speaks *some* Spanish#so since I started vaguely picking it up around the time we heard this#I volunteered to grind Spanish lessons so she wouldn't face the swarm alone#now she's quizzing me on Spanish every evening LMAO#we're supposed to have a fluent speaker conveniently being hired soon#but#he won't know how to do the library card stuff yet???#and idk when he's actually coming on board#nor do we know if he'll agree to change his schedule to help with this#since it won't be during his usual shift hours#but yeah#my brain hurts#I'm so bad at learning other languages#I'm not meant for it#I'm too stupid#//weeps
