not complaining, just an observation. i know the "ST fandom" on here is mainly just the byIer fandom and that's the thing a lot of people are most interested in but it's still so weird to see posts about completely unrelated aspects of the show get responses that go "so byIer canon <3"

because it just feels kind of rude to me? obviously byIer canon yeah, we know, no one's out here disagreeing. but why would you walk in on someone baking muffins and then start talking about cake yk. i think i just don't get the sentiment of seeing someone lay out their evidence for a personal observation or theory or hc or whatever and then reblogging it only to go "yeah exactly but all of what you just said is about byIer actually". because why would you not make a new post to say that? that's the same vibe as people who used to hijack lu/max analysis only to make it all about mi/leven or byIer in the replies. or people specifically going on blogs about, like, the party, and then making all the posts about the older teens. it's the whole why would you derail a post about A to confidently make it about B when that's clearly not what the post is about

confused the fandom focused on one ship is making everything about that ship? this one might be on me lmao. no but i'm not seriously complaining, idk, it's just, still kind of weird to see happen so often. saying not everything is about byIer feels so redundant by now but i frankly think some people still don't know that not everything is about byIer 😭 and that sometimes people want to talk about other aspects of the show or even their characters individual arcs without focusing on their relationship
