How he shows he loves you
Summary: 3 short blurbs on how Jason shows reader he loves them.
warnings: mentions of reader being kidnapped, but descriptions are very vague lol.
wc: 2k
a/n: This isn't edited at all, but it has been sitting on y drafts for wayyyy too long
Jokes
Disappointment is not the initial reaction he hoped for when he came in through your front door. Shock would've been a more appropriate response, since your music was too loud and you didn't hear him come in. He decided to pull a prank and scare you, silently making his way to the kitchen where you were having a karaoke session. Which given how quiet he could be when he wanted to, it was not that hard at all. Now Jason tries to hold back his laugh, a boyish grin plastered across his features that he wouldn't be able to suppress even if he tried.
"What are you making?" He whispers next to you, pressing a kiss to your cheek. If he was being honest, he'd say he is concerned about how long it takes you to notice there's someone else in your apartment. But right now, he's too caught up in the bliss of being in your presence that he can't bring himself to care.
"Oh, you're early." You say after the scream you let out when he comes up behind you, seemingly out of nowhere to whisper in your ear.
"Why? You're mad?" He replies, hiding his insecurity behind sass. What if you didn't want him there? What if he's overstayed his welcome? But before he can come up with some convoluted reason for why you don't want him anymore, you're stopping him.
"I just wanted to have this done by the time you got here" You signal back at the food with your head. And he looks over, finally realizing you were cooking his favorite meal.
"What's the special occasion?"
"Nothing," You blush "Can't a girl just cook for her boyfriend?"
"Not unless she wants me to make her my wife," He teases, you roll your eyes, growing accustomed to these types of jokes. Once he reached a certain level of domesticity and was comfortable enough in the relationship, he started to talk about how he was gonna marry you. Jason would even jokingly refer to you as his wife. At first, he made you blush, now it was just the usual routine.
You would lie if you said it didn't excite you and make your feelings all mushy when he did that, your heart felt warmer when he showed how committed he was to you. You felt giddy whenever he said "When we get married", he never said if we get married, he was very certain about wanting to spend the rest of his life with you. Your heart skipped a beat whenever he'd drop a detail of his dream wedding, "We're having a chocolate cake, like the one in Matilda" or "I'm kissing the fuck out of you on that altar". One time he said: "If you liked that, imagine what our honeymoon would be", that one got him a soft slap on his chest as you chuckled.
"How did you get here anyways?" You change the subject, going back to your cooking.
"Used the front door" He answers with a smirk, arms wrapping around your waist as he steps closer to you.
"Really? How?"
"Cause I'm your boyfriend," He replies like it's the most obvious thing in the world. It is, but he didn't need to say it like that. "I have been for a while, and you gave me your keys"
"Damn, my doorman just lets anyone in these days" You joke and you can hear the little "tsk" that comes from his mouth as he lets go of you.
"I can leave and come back from your window" He's kidding, but you know him well enough to know he's willing to follow through just for the sake of doing a bit. Instead, you hold his arm, pulling him back to you in between giggles.
"Please, I finally have boot imprint-free windowsills"
He laughs, it's real laughter, not his usual chuckle. It makes your heart work overtime as you watch his smile reach his eyes so much that he ends up closing them. He pulls you in for a kiss before he lets you go to finish the dinner you worked so hard on. The food that when he takes a bite from has him asking:"You want a summer or spring wedding?"
Touch
Even if he's less inclined to admit this, Jason knew that before you met he was touch starved. And now he can't get enough of it, he's constantly on your side or with his hands on you in any way, shape or form. It came as a shock--to him-- how badly he needed you sometimes, he never felt this about anyone before. He swears he's not usually this clingy.
You are walking down the street and suddenly you're not holding his hand or bicep and he's grabbing your hand and putting it back. He could never be one of those boyfriends who don't notice when their partner stops holding their hand, if you ever so that he's immediately holding your hand again and asking what's wrong.
Sometimes his touch is protective. You are going through a crowded space and he has his hand placed on the small of your back, guiding you and making sure nothing ever happens to you. It turns a little too protective when another guy tries talking to you and he wraps an arm around your shoulders, pulling you in for a kiss.
But most of the time, he's all alone with you, lying down on bed or a couch, and he's tracing shapes on your uncovered skin. He leans his head closer when you play with his hair or God forbid you touch his face, it has his knees giving out. He loves feeling your weight on top of him, loves feeling you're real and that you're with him and not going anywhere. Maybe he sneaks a hand under your clothes if he feels daring, and your attention doesn't shift. It amazes him how he's allowed this, how much access you give him. And over everything else, it doesn't have to be sexual. Casual skin to skin contact did not have to mean anything else; it was just that.
With you he's experienced that not every touch has violence behind it, not every contact has an ulterior motive. So he's so gentle with you, maybe he is not good with words, so he makes up for it. You know he shows his affection in action rather than words, he's not that far from worshiping the ground you walk on. He's specially kind when you know you're vulnerable; he presses kisses to your face as much as he can and to your shoulder blades when he can't. You know he's a big softy since you've pretended to be asleep multiple times as he played with your hair. An more than once you've heard him whisper hushed love confessions he never thought you'd hear. His hands are rough with criminals but you'd never be able to tell by how kind he's around you.
Priority
Jason wants you to know you can count on him for anything, he makes a point of it by telling you multiple times. You ran out of milk? He's buying it on his way to your place Your apartment needs fixing and your landlord won't help? Problem's solved within the hour. Maybe you got terrible cramps, he's there to help you however you want him to. So it's no surprise to you or anyone that the second you're in danger he drops everything else. You're his number one priority.
"Where is she?" He pushes Bruce for information, which he was adamant in not telling him. Knowing Jason, he'd end up acting before he thinks it through, he'd show up unprepared and end up causing a disaster. Or at least that is what Bruce thinks about the son who plotted his revenge against him for years to the last minute detail.
"Jason" He mutters under his breath.
"I swear to God if I find out someone touched a hair in her head because you wasted time-"
"You go with me or you don't" He threatens "at all."
And Jason loves you so much, he's willing to agree to work with him in a heartbeat. He puts all his resentment aside when he thinks it will help you, if it meant working with the bat and abiding by his rules, then so be it. He'll track down the poor fucker who took you and kill him later. He didn't like being around him, it made him feel tense due to the incredibly strained relationship between the two of them. Bruce loved Jason, but sadly his way of showing it translated quite the opposite way in the younger one's eyes.
Bruce was being too quiet about what happened to you. All he knew was that he couldn't reach you, you were not at any of the usual places, and your friends had no idea where you were either. He checked your apartment and things were perfectly placed, no one had broken in--other than him. Then when he tracked your phone, which he only promised to do in extreme situations like today, he found it inside your purse thrown in some dirty alleyway. That's when his panic hit its peak and turned back to get his red hood gear and ask the bats if they knew anything about you.
He got to a warehouse, standing next to Bruce he decides to push him a bit more to get anything out of him. His mind was killing him with questions, were you okay? what happened? how did he know? and couldn't bear another second next to the stoic figure not willing to tell him anything.
"It's Mad Hatter, he's been taking people off the streets for-"
"Is she okay?" He cuts off, he has no space in his mind for whatever crazy thing he had planned against Batman or the city. Not when he's not sure you're safe, when Bruce won't even tell him if you're alive.
"She should be" He gives in "I'll take care of him, you handle hostages"
That's all he needs, he braces himself before following after Bruce, watching every step he made as it could make the difference between losing you or saving you. Jason's a bit pissed he's relegated to hostages much like he was during his time as Robin but decides against questioning for now. He steps and breathes as quietly as he can while he makes his way past the sign that reads "Wonderland". He silently signals to Bruce that they should split and cover more ground, to which he agreed with a curt nod. His masks allows him to have a better vision in the dark, so he can see how filthy the place was and how worn down the wonderland decorations were. He doesn't know if the man was there, but knowing Bruce he sent him on a path he wasn't likely to find him alone.
He finally finds some of his hostages, two twins laying unconscious on the floor. He tried waking them up to no success; he saw their chests move up and down as they breathed, so he knew he could worry about that later. Moving further, he sees a couple more people, all dressed up as characters like the twins were, in the same state. He then moves to the tea party, where another two kids dressed as the animals in the book sat with their heads on the table. He picks one of them up and rests them in a more comfortable position on the floor using what he could to make a cushion for their head, then does the same with the other kid. He thinks it's the least he could do if he couldn't wake them up. After a nerve-wracking walk through Lewis Caroll's nightmare he finds you, he feels his soul getting back to his body when his eyes finally land on you.
You lay on a floor that resembles a chessboard wearing a white dress and a crown, a little blonde girl with a light blue dress is cuddled up on your arms. He kneels down next to you, whispering your name and grabbing your shoulder to shake you in an almost desperate attempt to wake you.
"Please, please" He's sure if someone could hear how pathetic he sounded, his reputation would be ruined forever.
"Jay?" You manage to mutter under your breath, still not opening your eyes.
"Yes, I'll get you out of here"
"Hm, hats" you hummed, he doubted you were even aware of anything.
"I know, baby"
"off" Your voice was low and it seemed to him that you were fighting to stay awake and losing.
He took off the crown from your head and the headband from "Alice's". Listening to your advice, even if you were barely conscious. Once he confirmed you were okay, he carried you out. Then he came back for the little girl next to you, and so on until everyone was out and hat free. By that time police had arrived, and Batman was handing Jervis' ass to the cops to begin the cycle once more. He holds back, watching from afar to avoid getting caught. He watched as Batman shared a few words with Gordon, then Barbara tuned in to let him know which hospital they were taking you to.
When you wake up he is next to you, holding your hand and with the biggest eye-bags you've ever seen him with. He almost starts crying when you call his name in a hoarse whisper.
"I'm okay,"You whisper, wrapping your arms tightly around him. The scene is too touching as you see someone put a hand on his shoulder and tell him something.
"I'll go tell the doctors you woke up" He excused himself, reluctant even to let go of your hand, much less entertained by the idea of being separated from you too long.
You didn't see him as Jason's frame covered the man behind him but now you notice the one and only Bruce Wayne standing in your hospital room. It was too much to take in.
"Oh, Jason must really love me if he was willing to work with you"

The wedding day came and Luna was excited for the wedding this time.
"Are you ready, baby girl?"
"Yes, dad. I'm more than ready"
"Are you sure? You won't run this time?" he teased her
"Don't be mean! I hate you" she laughed "Of course I won't"
He smirked " Let's do this then"
Her heart was about to explode from happiness, her biggest dream becoming true. See him there, waiting for her it was everything she wanted. This time is for real.
Wolfgang was really excited for her wedding, I suppose. Or he was so nervous to be around this many vampires he tried to look cool.
"Thank you, dad" she let go of his arm "I know he's not your dream of husband for me, I appreciate you being here and doing all that"
"He isn't, but he's your dream, that's all that matter. But if he hurt you I'll gladly kill him" he smirked
He's really happy for his girl
Elijah's family cheering them. Charlotte was really happy to see her brother getting married, after all he's been through.
They started to exchange their vows, they were really happy.
"...and we're finally here. I love you so much, Luna. I promise to make you happy as long as you live. I'll be he-" he wasn't able to finish the sentence because someone laughed, it was mocking laugh.

I think we need to shed more light on how fucked normie american society's wedding expectations are. These past 6 months have been absolute hell on earth for me. I've fallen down into the deepest depression I've ever had, my PD has gotten so bad where I'm basically having an attack every day, my room is a mess because I have no life outside of work and planning and I'm too overwhelmed, I'm losing weight, my hair is falling out, my face is covered in stress acne, i literally can't go 💩 bc I'm so stressed, i have absolutely no appetite.
Don't let anyone push you into some dumb and expensive wedding for literally a couple hours of your life. Getting eloped or court married is not "the wrong way". The modern wedding industry and wedding culture in America is a giant money sucking vampire that needs to be kissed by a wooden stake a thousand times.
I have to babysit a large group of people (most of which are my massive family and didn't have a say in inviting or not) and make sure they don't get "offended" that our ceremony is polytheist, that we have (god forbid!!) Lebanese food (ofc included vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options but it's not hotdogs and BBQ so), no garter toss, etc. I have been getting shit from my entire family the whole way, yes they are technically working their asses off with me but that doesn't negate the fact that I've been fighting them the whole time and it adds a significant amount of stress to my life.
I can't talk to my grandma anymore without me going into an anxiety attack bc just talking about wedding stuff triggers me. I also hate the social obligations- i got yelled at for talking to a friend i haven't seen in 5y at my bridal shower and my mom is hyping me up saying I'm going to be talking to so many people i won't be able to eat, yeah no lol. After all of this i don't want to speak to another person besides fiance again for the next 600 years.
There's also so many god damn extra costs like I'm already sacrificing my sanity and my life force energy and my money for this whole function and you're telling me i need to pay all of my bridesmaids and get them gifts?? NO! I have to spend extra money on food for people that don't like Lebanese? NO! I have to get "real" favors? NO! I don't care about being a "bridezilla" at this point I'm so done.
I wish i could go back in time and badger my fiance into letting us elope bc i remember bringing it up a bunch when we first got engaged and he told me he would feel bad if we "didn't do it the right way" prime example of how society grooms people's expectations of what's "right" and what's "improper" now we're both reaping bc I'm stressed as a cat in a rocking chair factory and he feels super guilty about not being here bc we're LD. Mega regret was had on both sides.
This is basically a giant rant and i honestly have zero excitement for my wedding next Saturday. I just want it to be over at this point. I think I'll be more excited the week after the wedding honestly bc that's when we move in together and get to do all the fun stuff like decorate and cook together.
End of rant and if you made it this far ily 💕

Til Death Do Us Part Day 30
The day had finally arrived for Damian and Christina to get married. The Gala the week before had helped them plan for the mission and the wedding at the same time. They had decided to get married in Florida, and had all flown down the day after the Gala. Anakin and Padmé were there, along with the twins, Obi-Wan, and Satine. Christina was getting ready with the girls while Damian and the boys got ready. Christina had chosen Natasha to be her maid of honor. Natasha had always been close to her, and understood her in a way none of the others did. Amethyst, Morgan, and little Leia were going to be the flower girls. Luke was going to be the ring bearer. Leia, Piper, Phoenix, Carol, Wanda, MJ, and Padmé were her bridesmaids. Her mom also had a special part in the ceremony. Anakin was going to officiate the ceremony. Her Dad was excited for her but also a bit emotional as well. Damian picked Peter as his Best Man. Atlas, Aslan, Rhodey, Thor, Vision, Bruce, Anakin, Bucky, and Steve were his groomsmen. Once Christina was ready, the ceremony began. The little girls walked out across the beach first spreading little blue and green roses along the path. Then Luke walked out after them. Each pair of bridesmaids and groomsmen walked out, and stood on each side of Damian and Obi-Wan. Lastly, Natasha walked out with Christina and Tony behind her. Once Natasha got all the way down the aisle, Damian was able to see Christina. She was wearing an empire cut, off the shoulder wedding dress, with a silver and emerald Asgardian tiara and veil. She was beautiful.
When Anakin said, "Who gives this woman to be married?"
Tony replied with"Me and Pepper, as well as her brother Peter, do." Anakin nodded, and Christina stood in front of Damian after she handed her Bouquet to Natasha.
"I'm pretty sure you all know why we're gathered here, so we're just going to get started. Damian, do you have your vows?" Anakin asked.
"Yes, I have them." Damian replied.
"That's good, do you already know what to say, or do I have to do the whole ‘repeat after me’ speech?" Anakin asked again.
"No, I think we've got it, so I'm just going to start." Damian paused, and then began again. "Christina, when we were younger I had no idea how our lives were going to turn out. As we got older and discovered our bond, I realized that it didn't matter as long as you were with me. Now, we're standing here getting married for real, and it is such an amazing thing to me. I promise to protect you and let you protect me. I promise to love you and only you for the rest of my life. I promise to stay with you and help you with whatever you need. I promise to be there for you when you need me, and I promise to be myself and hold no important secrets from you. Till death do us part." Christina looked at him and smiled.
"Damian, before you came into my life I was terrified. You rescued my heart from more pain and hurt. Even though I still felt it, you would do the best you could to protect me. I promise to love you, and help you when you need it. I promise to be there for you always. I promise to be who I am, and to be honest with you at all times. I promise to love you and only you for the rest of my life. Till death do us part." Christina vowed.
Luke gave Anakin the rings. Damian took Christina's, and Christina grabbed Damian's.
"Damian, place the ring on her finger and say the words that go with it," Anakin said.
"Christina, with this ring, I make my commitment to you until death parts us." Damian said, placing the ring on her finger.
"Damian, with this ring, I make my commitment to you until death parts us." Christina said, smiling at him.
"With the power invested in me by the United States and the Star Wars Galaxy I now pronounce you husband and wife. Damian, you may kiss your bride." Anakin said, finishing the ceremony. Damian did as he said, and kissed Christina. They were finally married in the eyes of their family, and nothing could ever break them apart.

The Very Real Sacrifice of Caring For Aging Parents in Your 20s
"I think things will be easier if my mom dies first," I found myself saying out loud to my best friend late last year, sitting on the carpeted steps of her rental house. This sentence may have come across as cold and morbid to anyone else, but I knew Tessa understood where I was coming from: Her dad and my dad both have terminal lung diseases, and neither of us have the best relationships with our moms, either. My mom in particular is generally healthy, but I worry about her living alone as someone who can be forgetful, overly trusting, isolated, and naive. Tessa and I met working at our college bookstore as cashiers. She's now a math teacher married to a great guy with a new baby boy. Tessa just turned 29. I'm a healthcare reporter who lives in Oakland, CA. I take art classes, love walking around the Bay, and have a 9-year-old cat named Clark. I'll be 28 later this year. Tessa and I both have older parents, and have bonded over how it can sometimes feel like we got robbed of fully enjoying our 20s. I don't call Tessa to gab about a new crush, or text her photos of my outfit options before a date. Instead, we talk about having to navigate federal healthcare on behalf of our parents, and arrange care for them while simultaneously trying to keep our own lives afloat. Neither of us feel like we have the same normalcy our friends do; we don't often call our parents for advice or anticipate the holiday season with excitement. Instead, our 20s have mostly felt like we're consistently waiting for the other shoe to drop, and when it does, we turn to each other for support. I am one of many millennials being affected by what's been referred to as an elder-care crisis. It's difficult to care for aging parents, especially with whom you have a strained relationship, while also navigating early adulthood. . . and financially earning less than they did at my age. The weight of credit card debt, student loans, and societal expectations can feel crushing. Hell, sometimes vet bills for just Clark can get pricey, even with pet insurance. I want to save money. I want to travel. I'd like to upgrade from a studio to a one bedroom so I don't have to fall asleep staring at my desk, since I work from home. But I also know that when my dad inevitably passes - and likely before my mom due to his condition - I'll need to be able to spring a last-minute plane ticket home and help get things in order. I recently received a master's degree from Syracuse University's Newhouse School, and throughout my final few semesters, I routinely thought to myself, "I hope my dad stays alive at least until I finish this degree." It can often feel like I'm holding my breath, hoping my parents hang on until I'm in a more established place in my life, so that I can offer the best care while also being my best self. My dad's prognosis was originally around seven years max, and he's now in his third year since being diagnosed. His health isn't currently changing much day by day, and when people ask how he's doing, I reply, "About the same." It can often feel like I'm holding my breath. I deeply desire to maintain autonomy in my own life, which still feels like it's just beginning. But I also want to make sure my parents are safe, healthy, and have all the resources they need as they age. So, rather than save for an eventual wedding or other milestone, I now have a separate savings account explicitly meant to help my parents in the event of something tragic. Just like a wedding is a major life event, so is losing a parent and maintaining care for the other parent - particularly if you're an only child, like I am. (At this point, some might ask, "Why don't you just leave the Bay Area if you're so concerned about money?" So, I should note that I have two uncles who live here, and we're very close. They weren't always part of my life, and as they also get up there in age, I want to be around them as long as possible, making… https://www.popsugar.com/family/millennial-taking-care-aging-parents-essay-49351514?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=tumblr

Attention At First Sight • Anthony Bridgerton
Word Count: 920
Summary: A jealous husband when coming back from a honeymoon isn't fun, but it is kinda hot or isn't it?
You were coming back from your honeymoon, after getting married to the man that decided to court you and who made sure other gentlemen would miss their chance with you, and they did.
An amazing dress, a younger sister in law with more knowledge than you could've expected at least and a mother in law that saw you as her own child.
You sat in the carriage next to Anthony, taking in the view of the streets you were passing, children holding their parent's hands and pointing to the windows of toy stores, it warmed your heart, forming a smile on your lips, chuckling to yourself.
"You seem rather amused, darling?" Anthony asked, noticing the smile on your face. "Perhaps, care to share your thoughts?"
You moved your eyes away from the window, looking at the handsome man that you were able to call your husband, folding your hands in your lap, shrugging.
"By chance i'm quite excited about the idea of our future children, my love." You spoke, adjusting the skirt of your gown. "Since we're married, it would be no scandal anymore, would it?"
Anhony hummed, leaning closer until his lips softly touched your forehead, making you close your eyes in contentment.
"You're very right, Lady y/n Bridgerton, it would not be." he took your hand in his, adjusting the golden ring around your finger before kissing it. "Let's hope we'll have a result of those thoughts soon."
"Let's hope." You nodded, kissing your husband cheek, before leaning your head on his shoulder, enjoying the last calm moments before you'd arrive at the Bridgerton house.
Noticing the horses had come to a halt, you waited for the door to open as Anthony got out first, holding his hand out towards you, as you got down the three steps as well.
"Lady y/l/n?" A male voice spoke up. "Fancy seeing you here"
Turning around you noticed Prince Friedrich bowing for you, kissing the top of your gloved hand, before he noticed Anthony as well. "Lord Bridgerton."
"It's Lady Bridgerton now, since she's my wedded wife and wears a ring around her finger, sleeps in my bed..perhaps you'll know what i mean?" Anthony spoke with an uninterested face.
"I think Lady y/l/n can speak for her own behalf, no?" The prince ignored Anthony's words, smiling down at you.
"Bridgerton, last name has been changed to Bridgerton." Anthony repeated, taking your hand and one on your waist leading you away towards the house.
"Fancy a dance tonight, Lady y/n?" Friedrich called out, trying to catch up with the two of you.
"I hate to disappoint, but as a married woman, i only love to spend time with the man i call my husband, but i heard the women of these season are real diamonds, Prince Friedrich." You smirked, hearing a small snort leaving Anthony's body.
The two of you walked up to the front door, waiting for the door to open as Anthony had already knocked.
Staring up at Anthony, the man catched your stare, as you placed your hand on the side of his face, pulling him in and smiling into the kiss, not noticing the door was already opened and Eloise was standing in front of you with a mouth agape.
"Oh, hi Anthony, come in, exciting to see you again, almost having a problem with letting your newly wedded wife breath, how are you, Eloise, Oh same old, same old-" Eloise rambled, while Anthony pushed passed her, leading you inside with him. "I. was. not. done. brother!"
"Neither were we, but you opened the door too quickly, sister." Anthony muttered, earning a chuckle from you, entering the living room where Daphne and Colin were seated with their mother.
"Y/n, dear god, i'm so delighted to see you again." Daphne gushed, wrapping her arms around you. "Welcome back."
"Can i get one of those embraces as well?" Colin held his arms out too, as you walked right in to them. "That's what i meant."
You chuckled, turning around to see Violet strolling over to you.
"y/n, my love, welcome back." Violet whispered as she wrapped her arms around your body, kissing your cheek. "I suggest the two of you would love a certain moment of rest by yourselves?"
As Anthony was going to say something you cut him off. "If it is not an offending thing, we would love to actually."
"Dear, don't be ridiculous, travel is indeed something that needs energy, feel free to take a warm bath, as long we'll be able to enjoy a good dinner together tonight."
You quietly thanked her as you turned turned around the corner with Anthony close behind you, with a hand on your waist.
"I was thinking, you'd like to talk with everyone?" Anthony furrowed his eyebrows at you. "Why the sudden change, love?"
You came to a halt in the hallway, opening the door towards your room, stepping closer to your husband, wrapping two fingers around the hem of his dress shirt, pulling it towards you.
"Perhaps i've already made other plans?" You whispered, biting your bottom lip as you felt Anthony's fingers undoing the strings of your dress, slightly pushing you into the room.
"Perhaps we should turn them into reality then." Closing the door behind the two of you, laughter was heard in the hallway, which made Mrs. Varley step closer to the door, and place her ear on the door, chuckling to herself.
"Young people." She joked

The Mean Girls credits rolled onto the screen, so (Y/N) tossed the remote to Kyra as she got up and walked into the kitchen. Opening up the fridge, she looked through the selection Maelyse had brought with her. Unsure of what to get, Joy popped up beside her and grabbed the Merlot. (Y/N) shrugged her shoulders and decided to grab the rest of the snacks instead.
Tomorrow, the tight knit group of friends would officially have a wife among them. They were all excited for the big day, especially the bride to be Maelyse. The past few months had all of them busy. However, through it all, they all remained level-headed and it solidified Mae's choice in choosing them to be her bridesmaids. Instead of going to celebrate her last night of being a fiancé out in the city, Mae decided on having a quiet night in.
Each of them had their own rooms within the suite, but chose to all camp out in the living room for the night.
"How are you feeling?" (Y/N) asked Mae as she placed the snacks on the coffee table that had been pushed to the side.
She smiled, "great."
Joy shook her head, "and to think you getting married is because Scott sent a text to the wrong number.
"I wouldn't say it was wrong," Mae flashed her engagement ring, "after all he ended up with the right woman."
(Y/N) and Joy both awed, while Kyra scoffed.
"Okay, enough of the cheesiness, y'all know I'm lactose intolerant," everyone laughed at her, "let's give a toast for wrong numbers."
"To wrong numbers!"
They all raised their wine glasses, clinked them together and took a drink. When (Y/N) placed her glass down, she noticed a notification pop up on her screen. With the quick flash she smiled down at her screensaver. A photo of her and Jose sitting on a mat with a picnic basket and a bouquet of daffodils beside them. (Y/N) leaning back into his embrace and Jose wrapping his arms around her.
He had set his phone up to "capture the moment", he had told her. (Y/N) didn't really suspect anything of it considering she loved a good photo op. She remembered that day so clearly, as it was when Jose officially asked her to be his girlfriend. Bringing the bouquet of daffodils to symbolise the new beginning for both of them.
Kyra noticed (Y/N) staring at her phone and nudged her shoulder playfully, "is somebody missing their novio?"
"Shut up," she replied.
Mae laughed, "he's coming tomorrow, right?"
(Y/N) nodded, "yeah, he'll be there."
She was happy that Jose would join her. It would be the first event they'd be attending as a couple – Santos parties and dinners with her family didn't really count. Plus she was extremely excited to see him dressed up.
Joy smiled and grabbed some Doritos to munch on, "Nana Julie is gonna be disappointed when she finds out you're in a relationship. She's been trying to set you up with Carlos for years."
"Accepting the ring pop in front of her was the beginning of her attempts of getting the two of you together," Mae piped up.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes, "we were seven."
Kyra smirked, "my favourite part was when you found out he gave Vivian a ring pop the day before and told him you weren't a homewrecker," she laughed.
"That just showed how committed I was, even back then," she replied, "I kinda felt bad after I stuck the ring pop in his hair. He had to shave it all off 'cause Nana Julie ended up giving him a bald spot when she ripped it out."
They continued to drink, eat and talk. Laughing at the memories they created with each other and cringing when they talked about their awkward teenage years. All of which they agreed they were happy they were no longer living through it.
On the other side of town, Jose was chilling in his apartment. He wasn't really doing anything, other than making sure his outfit for Mae's wedding was put away nicely. He had just come back from his mother's house 'cause he needed help ironing it. While she was ironing, she kept talking about how proud she was of him for finding (Y/N). He laughed when she began to hint at grandchildren. His response was if it happened, it happened. Although, he already knew that (Y/N) was the only woman he ever pictured having kids with.
Closing his closet door, he moved from his bedroom into the hallway. His mind on (Y/N) and hoping she was having a blast with her girls. When he began dating her, her friends were a bit apprehensive due to his association with the Santos. However, when they realised he actually cared for (Y/N) they eased up. Now, whenever he saw them there wasn't any awkwardness.
Before he reached the kitchen, he felt a vibration against his thigh. Confused, he pulled out his phone and saw (Y/N)'s contact name pop up. With a smile, he quickly answered, "Hola, querida."
"Ooooh did you hear that girls? Did. You. Fucking. Hear. My. Man? I don't think you did. He spoke Spanish! Fuck he sounds so sexy –" was all Jose heard before a bunch of giggles muffled his girlfriend's voice. He couldn't help but chuckle, quickly figuring out that he was on speaker and (Y/N) was tipsy (if her slightly slurred rambling was anything to go by). A loud shushing noise was followed by more rambling, "– like… he's just so ‐‐ urg! He's a snack… no h-he's more than that he's breakfast… and lunch… and dinner. Yeah! Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Wait, no… uh, what's that place – buffet! He's. A. Fucking. Buffet! Yes, he is. And I'll gladly eat all day long."
Jose smirked, "you're everything and more bebe."
"Oh shit, I forgot I was on the phone," she giggled, "hey, baby! I love you!" She let out a heavy sigh, "I miss you! Can I see you? I wanna see you."
Never being able to deny her of anything, he quickly ended their call and switched to FaceTime. He only waited for a few seconds before (Y/N)'s face popped up, practically covering the screen. Jose laughed as she grinned widely, before shuffling back allowing him to see her surrounded by her best friends. All of whom were wearing matching pink pajama sets, except for Maelyse whose set was white. They all waved, Jose nodding back at them.
"Isn't he handsome?" (Y/N) glanced over her shoulder, "and he's mine." She sighed happily focusing back on the screen. "I love you!"
He smiled, "I love you too, bebe." His eyes spotted some wine glasses in the background with snacks. "You seem to be having a great time."
"The bestest time ever!" She cheered, the girls cheering alongside her. "We're getting wine drunk and eating all the snacks. But, I wanna see you," she pouted.
"Don't make that face," he sighed, "you're seeing me now, bebe."
"It's not the same… I want you here!" She huffed.
He raised an eyebrow, "(Y/N)."
"Ooooh, you called me (Y/N)." Her eyes widened, "you must mean business," she giggled. "I like it when you say my name… especially when you're –"
"Baby," this time his eyes widened.
The girls in the background fell over each other laughing, while (Y/N) looked at them confused. This made Joy laugh harder. Maelyse leaned over and whispered in her ear. (Y/N) bit her lip, causing Kyra to wrap her arms around her shoulders and scream about 'the baby not being as innocent as everyone thought'. Shaking her head, she turned back to the screen and shrugged her shoulders.
"I meant when you're sleepy 'cause your voice gets even sexier," she explained, "but… yeah, when we're doing stuff too. I really like that part."
The way she said it so nonchalantly made Jose snort and shake his head. His girl was something else. The camera shifted to show off a pile of blankets and pillows, before revealing her nude painted toenails. He patiently waited until (Y/N)'s face came back on the screen and once it did, she was laying on a bed.
"I can't wait to see you all dressed up," she commented, "like – fuck, you're already the sexiest man. But… imagining you in a suit and tie is doing things to me."
He smirked, "is that right?"
Biting her lip, she nodded, "yeah… a whole lot of things," she glanced over her phone before back at the screen, "after the wedding is when the real fun starts."
"I look forward to it."
"You should 'cause I brought your favourite set with me, so I can wear it underneath my dress."
"Baby, don't do that to me," he groaned.
"Sorry not sorry," she giggled.
They chatted a bit more until Mae called out for (Y/N) that it was time to say goodbye and get back to celebrating. At the same time Oso gestured towards Jose that he was needed. With a reluctant sigh from both of them, they smiled at each other.
"Looks like we've both gotta go, querida," he told her, "but I'll see you tomorrow, okay? Do you need me to bring anything to the hotel?"
"Can I have some (fast food) for breakfast?"
He laughed, "of course baby, anything else?"
She shook her head, "no that's it," she blew him a kiss, "I really gotta go now 'cause I can hear Mae calling my full name," she huffed, "I love you!"
"I love you too, baby."
Once they hung up, they both had the same thought; morning couldn't come soon enough.

FIVE YEARS LATER...
"So...?" I spoke, looking at Hanji who had a massive grin smeared over her face. It wasn't creepy like her usual grin, it was pure ecstasy and excitement.
She had just come to my apartment (yes, it was now mine and Levi's since she moved in with Erwin) and she burst into my room, which obviously wasn't locked, with the screech of my name. Levi was only in his boxers as he towered over my naked form, so Hanji had immediately scurried out of our room and I grumbled curses as I pulled on a bathrobe. Levi stayed in our room and I went to the living room where Hanji was acting fidgety and was grinning.
And here we are now - me waiting for her to tell me what happened.
"... ERWIN AND I ARE GETTING MARRIED!"
"What?! Really?! Oh my gosh, I'm so happy for you!!" I squealed and brought her into a hug, squeezing her tightly. "Ahh, I’m actually so excited!!!"
"I never thought I could feel this happy. I actually burst into tears when he proposed. Oh my god, I'm so excited!"
"Tch. What's going on?" Levi grumbled, entering the room, wearing just trousers, which meant the bites and hickeys I gave him on his upper body were exposed. "I didn't expect to hear pigs squealing in the living room."
"Erwin proposed to Hanji!" I told him, ignoring his insult.
"Congrats. Can you leave now?" he said blankly with his arms crossed over his chest. Obviously, he wouldn't be happy if someone just barged into his home and interrupted something.
"Levi!" I scolded with a frown as Hanji continued to smile.
"No, no, it's fine. I'm sorry. Just wanted to tell you the big news. Also, you're going to be my maid of honour, of course."
"Yeah, okay. I'm so happy for you, Hanji!" I beamed at her and walked her to the door. "By the way, can I have your keys? I don't want you to barge in here whenever."
"Yes. Sorry."
"It's fine. I should just hurry up before Levi gets all grumpy."
"Okay. I'll see you soon, (Y/N)."
"I'll try to find a day where we can spend time together. But my job is taking up my time."
"Whenever you're free, don't worry. Anyway, bye."
"Bye, Hanji."
As soon as I locked the door, I was scooped up by Levi who carried me bridal style to our bedroom. I laughed softly as he gently dropped me onto the bed.
"You're getting it twice now," he growled quietly in a husky tone.

"What about this one?" Hanji asked.
"Aww!!! This one is the best! I love it, it suits you so much and I'm sure Erwin's going to love it!" I replied, clapping my hands a couple of times.
Hanji and I were out looking for a wedding dress. We visited many shops, she tried on several dresses but none of them seemed to be the perfect one. However, the one she was wearing now was something that made her look like the perfect bride and it caused tears to gather at the brim of my eyes. Though, I stopped them from falling and Hanji gave me a sympathetic smile, embracing me.
"What's wrong?" she inquired with a light laugh.
"... I'm just so happy for you. I can't believe my best friend's getting married."
She embraced me until I calmed down, even though no tears had fallen.
Once we decided that the dress she was currently wearing was the one, she got measured and pointed out things she wanted to be altered. The worker told us that she should expect the dress to be done and will be able to pick it up in a few months, which will be around one month before the wedding.
We left the shop and decided to get something to eat since we've been walking around all day with empty stomachs.
"After this, we'll go shopping for your dress," Hanji told me after taking a bite of her burger. Yeah, she should be trying to eat healthy to make sure that she can fit into her wedding dress on the day, but she deserved it after doing so much.
"Okay," I beamed.

I laid on the sofa, on my stomach; one hand was barely touching the floor and the other was holding my phone to my ear as I waited for Levi to finish cooking dinner.
"Wait, what?" I spoke, frowning and shifting to lay on my back.
"I'm sorry, (Y/N)."
"No, but, wait. I haven't seen you in over three months. And that was the only day I was able to make time for just us two. We barely see each other now and I miss you, Eren. Also, Hanji's wedding is next month so I'm going to be even busier because she'll need my help, and I'll still have work, so I'm obviously not going to have time."
"I know. And I miss you, too, princess. But--"
"Don't try making things better by calling me 'princess'. I understand that you have work as well, and you need to go with your boss on this business trip. But why can't you just squeeze in one day for us? That's all I want."
"... I'll try," he sighed. "I'm leaving this weekend and I'll be gone for a week. Maybe I can try to take a day off as soon as I come back. Is that okay?"
"Fine..."
"Stop sulking. Be happy that I'm trying."
A small smile snuck onto my lips, replacing my pout. "How did you even know I was sulking?"
"Are you really going to ask that even though we've been friends for nearly fifteen years?"
"Damn, time goes too fast," I mumbled, as if in thought. Levi came into sight, placing two plates of food on the coffee table in front of the sofa. He tapped my legs, wordlessly asking me to move them, so I did, deciding to sit up. "Anyway, I need to go. I better see you soon."
"You will," he replied, and I could hear the smile in his voice. "Bye, princess."
"Bye," I grinned before hanging up.
"And you say you're not cheating on me with that guy," Levi murmured.
"I'm not, idiot. And he's dating Petra. So just hush and eat your food."
"I doubt you smile like that when you're talking to me on the phone."
"Baby, you know I love you and would never cheat on you with anyone, or do anything to hurt you," I told him, pecking his cheek before picking up my plate of food. "... You're so cute when you're jealous."
"I'm not jealous. Just curious."
"Mhm." I playfully rolled my eyes. "By the way, have you taken a day off of work for Hanji's wedding?"
"Yeah, and the day after because I know I wouldn't be bothered to go into work."
"Yeah, I took off three days."
"Well, I know what we can do for the extra day we're both free," Levi smirked, facing me to kiss me but I dodged it, causing his expression to morph into a frown. "What are you doing?"
"I want to eat," I responded, causing him to roll his eyes (food can be such a cockblock).
When he put his plate down on the table, I did the same so I could tackle him. Once I dominated him, I smothered his face with kisses (being the lovey-dovey person I am) and he scrunched his face up, not enjoying it as much as I was. I giggled when I stopped and got off of him, deciding to finish off my food.
"You're an idiot," he muttered as he sat up.
"Thank you, my wonderful and kind boyfriend," I replied sarcastically.

I fixed Hanji's veil and straightened out her dress, making sure everything was fine. I then walked around her so I could see her face and my face broke into a wide grin, tears welling up for the like third time today. I was just so thrilled to see Hanji so ecstatic. And memories of when we were younger flashed through my mind, reminding when we were just immature and stupid kids that didn't know what love was. But now, she was getting married to the man she's loved for the past six years.
"(Y/N), please don't cry. You're honestly going to make me cry and we can't ruin our makeup."
I laughed softly. "Sorry. I'm fine. It's just emotional seeing your best friend getting married." I took a deep breath and didn't let the fluid spill. "I'm fine. Anyway, you look amazing. I love you and I'm happy for you."
"You look beautiful as well. I'm sure Levi will propose to you one day."
"Just the thought of that will make me faint. Okay, okay. I'm wasting your time so I'm going to go. I'll see you out there, okay?"
"Okay!" she grinned and I quickly hugged her before leaving.
I walked outside, where everyone was waiting, including Erwin who stood at the altar which was a floral arch; the flowers were a mix of white and light pink. The ceremony was being held outside on a grassy field which was part of the venue the reception was being held at. White chairs were set up on either side of a white aisle that led all the way to Erwin.
I shot the groom a reassuring smile as I made way to Levi who was at the front. I sat down next to him, which was the same row where Jean and Petra sat. Eren would sit here as well but Hanji had asked him to walk her down the aisle.
I gripped the raven's hand that rested on his lap and he gave it a small squeeze as I leaned my head on his shoulder, making sure not to ruin my hair.
People were conversing, music was playing, and everyone was waiting for the bride.
After a couple of minutes, Hanji had made her entrance, and I could see her excited expression through the veil. God, these tears won't spare me.
Hanji and Erwin had said their vows, exchanged rings and kisses as everyone celebrated for them.
Soon after, everyone was moving inside the venue but Levi had asked me to stay outside with him for a few minutes. I didn't question it, I just assumed that he didn't want to go inside yet and wanted to spend more time where there were no people. And I wanted the same because there was obviously no fresh air inside that hall.
I wandered up and down the aisle, glancing inside at all the people through the massive windows every now and then.
"... (Y/N)?" the grey-eyed male spoke softly as my back was towards him. I hummed and turned around to look at him, only to find him kneeling down in front of me, a miniature box in his grip.
No. It can't be. Is he actually going to propose? Damn, my eyes haven't watered so much in one day before.
He inhaled and closed his eyes before quietly exhaling and revealing his beautiful eyes again, locking them with mine. "I know I barely say it, but I love you, (Y/N). I love that you're a weirdo, pervert and idiot. I love your positive energy. I love how much of a sappy idiot you are. I love your face when you're sleeping, and now that I just said that aloud, I realise it sounds creepy as hell," he said, causing me to laugh under my breath as I let him continue.
"I just love you so much, (Y/N). No one can compete with you and I wouldn't be able to think of a world without you. I don't know what you did to me, but here I am, sounding like a sappy idiot. I don't know how, but you stole my heart when we first met, even though I had never experienced something like this before. Just every time I look at you, I know that deciding to spend the rest of my life with you is the right choice. So, (Y/N) (L/N)... will you marry me?"
"... Damn, I love you so much," I whispered before raising my voice a little and saying, "Of course, I'll marry you."
A smile, which seemed both relieved and happy, settled onto his face as he slipped the ring onto my finger before standing up. I cupped his face with both of my hands and briefly kissed him before embracing him, squeezing him tightly.
I pulled away from the hug, resting my arms on his shoulders as my fingers locked behind his neck, and his arms were still wound around my waist. I gave him a tender smile and he pecked my lips, a pretty smile widening on his lips. He was so handsome and I to this day, I can’t believe that I’m lucky enough to be with him.
We both decided to finally go inside, and as soon as we entered the hall, applauds sounded, causing us to come to a halt and glance at each other in confusion.
"CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! AHHHH!!!!" Hanji screamed and ran towards us.
"Hanji, you're a bride, you can't be crazy like this. And you could've tripped because of your dress and heels," I mildly scolded her.
"Do you think I care about any of that?! You're engaged! I love both of you!"
"How do you even know?" Levi inquired.
"Do you not see those big-ass windows over there?" I motioned to them, where we could see the open space outside.
"Ohh, Shorty!! You look so happy and cute, and I feel happier for you two than when I got engaged!"
"Hanji, you know I always love to fangirl with you, but today's your wedding day, so it's about you. So, go enjoy yourself. Also, everyone's looking at us and I feel uncomfortable," I told her quietly.
"Oh, okay. Sorry. But I can't wait!"
"Yeah, I know, we’ll fangirl later. Now, go to your husband."
"Okay. Bye, (Y/N)! Bye, Shorty!"
I shook my head and sighed with a smile on my lips as we began to walk again, heading to the table that our friends sat at. I rolled my eyes when they all gave us goofy grins.
"I never knew you could be such a romantic person, Levi," Sasha teased.
"I'm not."
"Well, your proposal speech seemed longer than average," Conny pointed out.
"... Because--"
"He's such a soft baby, who loves to cuddle and loves to be loved. He's like an adorable puppy and--" I told them, knowing Levi was shooting me a glare when he cut me off.
"Oi, shut it, brat."
"He's not even denying it," Jean snickered as he tried to imagine a vulnerable and loving Levi.
"Tch. I was wrong, this was the worst decision I could make," the raven muttered.
"Haha, I know you don't mean that," I beamed at him, booping his nose with my index finger.
"I can't imagine him being like that," Eren smirked.
"Yeah, because it's not true."
"Whatever you say, Levi," Farlan taunted.
"I hate you, (Y/N)."
"It didn't seem like that a few minutes ago," Isabel grinned.
"Love you, too, my adorable, little baby."
"I'm older than you, idiot."
"It's just by a couple of months. And how can I not call you a baby when you pout like that?"
"I'm not pouting. Just shut up."
Once everyone got back to their own conversations, I smirked and leaned in closer to him to whisper, "Just wanted to let you know that you look so damn hot in that tux."
"... And you look beautiful," he mumbled back, only loud enough for me to hear.
The day went on, everyone ate, people danced, and everything was joyful.
It was such a fun day with so much happiness being spread everywhere. However, towards the end of the day, all I wanted to do was relax and lie down in bed with my beloved.
And that's what happened.
Levi and I were lying down in bed later that night. And since he had claimed that he wasn't a soft baby that loves to cuddle, it would've been surprising for our friends to see Levi clinging onto me like a child and burying his face in my chest as I ran my fingers through his silky hair.
"My love?"
"Hm?"
"... If I tell you something, you have to swear that you won't freak out or break up with me."
He removed his face from my chest and looked at me. "How bad is this confession? Is it bad enough for me to break up with you just after proposing to you?"
"Well, I just think you're going to freak out and not want to be around me anymore."
"I'm scared to know, but sure, tell me."
"... About eleven years ago, when Hanji and I were thirteen, we used to make up some scenarios that included specific people. We liked to fantasize about our 'dream guy'-- You know what, I'm not going to tell you."
"You can't just start a story and not finish it. I want to know about your dream guy."
I sighed heavily. "... He looked and acted just like you, Levi," I blurted out, afraid of his reaction. He didn't say anything, just stared at me as if waiting for me to give him more of an explanation. "... Hanji made up a scenario of us meeting in uni, extremely similar to what happened in real life, and, um, yeah... I guess that's all I wanted to tell you. Please don't freak out."
"How the hell do you expect me not to freak out?" he retorted in a slightly raised voice, shooting into a sitting position. "You're telling me you made me up? And in your perspective, I'm basically like supernatural?"
"No... not really. You’re obviously just a normal human being, so it could literally all be a coincidence because you were obviously born normally and not summoned by some kind of sorcery or witchcraft."
"... That's crazy..."
"I know. I was planning on not telling you, but I just had to."
"... You and Hanji are seriously the weirdest and craziest people I've met," he huffed as he laid back down.
"I know, Levi. And you knew that from the start."
"Yet, I still fell for you - an idiot who can't grow up."
"I love you, Levi," I hummed, resting my head on his chest. "You're so much better than what I expected my dream guy to be."
a/n: it’s finally finishedddddd. thank you to all of you that stayed with me until the end of this series and i hope you enjoyed reading it as much as i enjoyed writing it! 🥰🥺

'Big News II: Baby Steps' part 2. Wow, this is a lot, I hope you're not getting sick of me. How about Ro and Re have a twins night (they're first one since Daisy was born) and V stays home with Jan (they know how much thus means to their partners) and the twins talk about Daisy, their partners, the upcoming wedding, their childhood, and their mom, all in that order?
Sick of you? Of course not, never <3 /pl
Baby Steps Part 2 (GB!Roman x GB!Trans!Virgil)
"Ah, finally," Robin practically sighed as she flopped onto her sister on the sofa. She had been waiting to do this since Daisy was born. An almost annual "twin night" her and Rebecca held since high school. And, though she loved her daughter dearly in the short time she'd been with them, Robin was glad to have a small night's break from her, as her little one had been left with her fiancé. Along with her sister in law, for Virginia's moral support. A night where she could sleep with ease like she had been able to before she fell pregnant. But not before staying up to some ungodly hour watching movies and talking with her sister over them.
"Ay, get off!" Rebecca laughed, playfully pushing Robin to the side. "Stop crushing my legs!" Robin laughed back, slowly levering herself off of her poor sister. "I'm sorry, I'm excited!" she excused herself.
"Yeah, I can tell." It was Robin's turn to to some shoving. All in jest, though.
After a few moments the girls calmed down enough to talk. "So, how's my favorite neice doing?" was Rebecca's first line of interest. Robin smiled to herself into her wine glass. "She's great. She's a lot like me already. An absolute sweetheart, but she's cranky as hell half the time." Rebecca rolled her eyes at her jokingly. "Who told you you were a sweetheart. They were either lying or on copious amounts of coke," she teased. Robin put her hand to her chest in mock offense.
"Or did Virginia tell you that? She would. For such a shy woman, she's a charmer, I can tell," Rebecca commented cheekily. "No wonder Daisy came along so unexpectedly." Robin smirked, deciding to play along with her. "Well, I'm sure Jan isn't exactly meek and chaste either. Not if she's dating you," she responded.
"Oh, I'll say," Rebecca grinned, licking her lips to exaggerate her meaning. The two girls giggled like naughty schoolgirls at their own innuendos.
"Okay, but in all seriousness, how is Virginia? And more importantly, how's this wedding coming on?" Rebecca asked, after settling again. Robin gave an exasperated sigh. "Well, we're actually doing pretty well. The two of us still need to go dress shopping, and there's a few other minor arrangements to be done, so yeah..." she explained, which dramatic wavings of her hand.
Then she paused, and then beamed at her sister hopefully. "Actually, since you brought it up," she began, "I was wondering... Would you be interested in being my maid of honor?" Rebecca sat up as straight as a line, cracking an unbreakable grin at Robin's offer. "Girl, of course! I'd love to be your maid of honor!" She held Robin's two hands in her own excitedly. "Good. I'll make sure to get you the girliest dress," Robin teased, knowing just how to wind her sister up. "Real pink, too." Rebecca gave her a lighthearted, meaningless glare.
Robin gently lay her head on her sister's shoulder. Her expression became much more thoughtful, though still happy. Rebecca noticed this. "Watcha thinkin' about?" she asked softly. Rebecca beamed up at her. "It's just that... once I get married, we'll all be an official family."
Rebecca grinned at her. "We already are a family, you goose," she laughed, ruffling her twin's chestnut coloured hair. Robin gently swatted her hand away. "I know, but like officially," she reiterated. "Legally." Rebecca just shrugged at her. "I really don't think that means anything. To us, at least." Then she chuckled to herself. "You're lucky Jan isn't here to go on her marriages are scams speech. I'm surprised we're even married ourselves." Robin rolled her eyes playfully. She knew all too well as Jan being the type to rant about social customs and the government at any given opportunity. Though, sometimes Rebecca willingly gave her the opportunity, so it wasn't as though she could say much either. She supposed that was love, giving into your partners whims to see them so passionate about something... They deserved to be married, at least.
"Not to get all weirdly sentimental but..." Robin nearly whispered, "I bet mom would be really happy to see us like this. With our own happy families." Like what she could never give us, she nearly uttered, but didn't. It hung in the air around them. They both knew it. They missed her oftentimes, especially when they were younger. But even without Virginia and her family or Jan, they'd always, always have each other to rely on. The strongest family they had.
"Of course she would," Rebecca mumbled, running her thumb gently along the back of one of Robin's hands as a comforting motion. Robin snuggled in closer to her sister's warmth. She relaxed, closing her eyes for just a few moments. She would have fallen asleep then and there had she not gently fluttered her eyes open, her gaze meeting the black television screen.
"Hey, Rebecca?"
"What's that?"
"We forgot to actually put a movie on..." And the two of them soon burst into much too loud laughter. It was a great night.

Smut drabble prompts
This is the third time I’ve done this and I’m super excited because I always love writing these! Here are the rules :)
Just a reminder that I write for Ateez and BTS (occasionally Monsta X) Remember to pick your member/paring because if not, I’ll pick someone who I feel suitable for the prompt. If you’re wanting to have a certain scenario or kinks also let me know and I’d be glad to include :) Also please specify if you want dom!reader because I naturally assume otherwise. I typically write x reader but I occasionally slip up and write fem!reader, so if you feel it’s needed to specify, please do.
You can pick up to 2 prompts as well
All prompts besides maybe 3 are from @palettes-and-prompts
“If you can’t sleep... then how about we have sex?
“I’ve had this plug in me all day, when do I get to feel your cock instead?”
“I wouldn’t misbehave half as much if I didn’t like you spanking me as much as I do.”
“Look, I know I’m not special to you, I get it, but when you fuck me, I still feel like I belong to you. So call me yours when you fuck me, because that’s what I am.”
“Have you been fucking someone else? Because I can do it better than them, you know I can. Let me prove to you why I should still be your favorite, filthy whore.”
“Maybe I should get you a collar so you don’t forget who you belong to.”
“Did you touch yourself while I was gone?”
"I’m gonna fuck you in front of the mirror, I want you to see how pretty you look when you’re spreading your legs for me.”
“You know, you look real pretty when you cry.”
“Aww, poor baby, you want me to take care of it for you?”
"Spread your legs apart." "But we're in public, someone could see us." "That's the point, and when I said it it wasn't a suggestion, it was an order."
"Touch yourself under the table. I want you to cum right here in front of all of them without any of them knowing. And if you do that for me I'll give you whatever you want later."
"Someone's watching us." "Then stop holding back your moans and let's give them a show."
"Look at you, fingering yourself while you're eating me out/sucking me off. So desperate to have your hole filled it's pathetic." (please specify dom or sub reader)
“This is all you’re good for, just a hole for me to fuck.”
“If you keep making those sounds I’m not going to be able to stop myself.”
“If we fuck this way we can still watch TV.”
“If you can make me cum by grinding against me I’ll take you to one of those Elvis wedding chapels and marry you today.”
“You may act like an innocent little goody goody but I’ve heard the way you talk when my hand is in your pants. You’re not even close to innocent.”
“You can take another, can’t you? We’re both dying to be inside you.”
“I’m going to let them take you for the night, you be good for them, Okay? Show them what I taught you.” (consented)
“I’m going to fuck you so good you won’t be able to look me in the eyes for a week without blushing.”
“That’s right, open your mouth for them. Be good for me, baby, be good for them.”
“I’ll buy you a collar, put my name on it along with my number so people know where you belong and who you belong to. Think you’d look cute with a little bell.”
“Say it louder for me, baby. Say my name louder or I swear to god I’ll stop everything right now and you can get yourself off. Do it, I want him/her to hear you scream my name.
“I was wondering how long you two were going to make out like that before you realize you weren’t alone.”
“No I do not always cum in my pants... that was the first time.”
“I’ve been missing these panties for weeks, tell me why I just found them in your drawer.”
“Did you like it?” “Would you judge me if I said I did?”
“Don’t stop. Whatever you do. I like that… a lot.”

you wanna talk about ian and mickey? everytime the courthouse kiss pops up on my dashboard, I wonder what could’ve happened if they did end up getting married that day.
they didn’t tell anyone about their plans before they went to the courthouse, right? so did they just go home all secretly happy and smiling to themselves (like after they got engaged in canon), not telling anyone until one of the gallagher siblings notices the matching rings (did they get rings before the courthouse? some cheap 2nd hand ones?) - maybe lip notices and pulls ian aside all like “did you finally get engaged?” and ian’s all blushy and smirky and tells him they’ve actually gone one step further than that already and maybe the siblings and kev&v throw them a wedding party the following weekend because finally these two idiots got married and why tf didn’t you tell us but really everyone is just happy ♥️
(I also don’t even know if they would’ve gotten married in the original script of s10 before cameron broke his leg)
first of all sorry i didn't see this yesterday i guess i lied when i said i'd be here oops 🤦♀️ but i love this idea!!! it's kind of fascinating to me that everything's going so fast at the courthouse, and that they're in the middle of bickering when it's time to sign the papers. i just imagine that if they had both signed, the woman helping them would've been like there you go that's your marriage certificate, and they would've been like wait....we're married?? bc they kind of weren't paying attention lmao, but then all the bickering would stop and they'd just look at each other like ....yo. you're my husband now 🥺 (almost, i think they need to be married by a judge for it to be final but disregard that) and i think it's actually such a significant thing to them both that they'd have delayed reaction and be dazed at first walking out of the courthouse together, before it’d dawn on them for real what just happened. maybe one of them would start by asking if they should get rings, and they'd go pick some out together and not be able to stop smiling, exactly like you said, bc they literally just married each other and that’s so wild!!! 🤕 and then they'd get home and everyone would be so excited and they would too and then realize that they actually wanted to have a party to celebrate bc that shit was fucking ten years in the making and they deserve that!!!
#em answers#lets ignore that i think they'd have to get married by a judge to be fully married so they technically only signed the license#they'd still have this reaction and maybe take everyone to the courthouse why not#anyway i actually do like that they got to be excited for their wedding and to celebrate with their loved ones#and like. had a chance to realize what was happening lmao bc that courthouse day really did go so fast#so they'd probably end up going through a lot of the same emotions they did before their wedding in canon just after#at least that makes sense to me 🤷♀️

Never Gonna Lose You
Summary - Even with Chuck's danger hanging over the heads of the Winchesters and the Reader, preparations for Dean and Reader's wedding start in the bunker
Pairing - Dean x reader, Sam x reader (platonic)
Warning - Fluff, just pure tooth rotting fluff (yeah ik it's highly unlike me) and maybe a bit of swearing
Word Count - 1.5k
A/N - This is the sequel to Don't Wanna Lose You as requested by @miss-nerd95 (I finally wrote it)
This is the first time I have attempted to write a fic with a wedding ceremony in it so I hope it turns out okay. (Also if there is any rule wrong in the wedding ceremony, please let me know because I wrote the rules of the ceremony after I saw it on the internet and from movies).
Spn divider by the amazingly talented @talesmaniac89 (if you can, check out her blog. She is so good)
"Hey! I came back to the bunker to find it empty. Where were you both?"
You were trying your best to stop the large smile that was threatening to spread on your face.
"We were uh..out", you gave Sam an innocent smile.
"Oh no. No I don't want to hear about my brother's sex life", Sam scrunched up his face in pure disgust.
"Get your mind out of the gutter Sammy because we have some news", Dean said with a stupid grin on his face.
"Please don't tell me Y/N's pregnant because I can't handle a mini Dean right now in the bunker", Sam said.
"What no! I am not pregnant-"
"We're getting married!" Dean declared proudly.
"What? That's great! Congratulations you guys", Sam literally ran towards you both and pulled you and his brother into a bone crushing hug.
"That's enough Sam", Dean groaned.
Sam let go of you both, "So when's the wedding? Where's the ring? Show me the ring".
"When did you become so girly Sammy?" Dean teased Sam which resulted in him getting a glare from the younger hunter.
"I'm just very excited for you both. Welcome to the Winchester family, Y/N. I am very happy for you Dean but Y/N not really, you could have done a lot better", Sam smirked.
"Ow", Sam yelped when his brother smacked his head.
"So when's the wedding? Did you tell Cas and Jack? Where will be the wedding?" Sam started to fire different questions at you.
"Hold your damn horses, Sammy. I don't know when's the-"
"We are getting married next week," Dean said, cutting you off mid-sentence which made your eyes go wide.
"Next week?" You exclaimed, "Dean are you crazy? We can't get married next week! There is so much to do! It's a goddamn wedding! Decorations, dress, catering - are you out of your mind, Dean Winchester?"
"We'll manage, sweetheart. It will be fine," Dean tried to assure when he saw you had already started panicking.
And damn did he make sure it was fine. The week went by a blink of an eye. With every passing day you were growing more anxious even though Dean did his best to make this the perfect wedding.
Growing up as a hunter, you never thought marriage was in your cards. You always thought that you would be long dead even before you meet the man of your dreams but it all changed when you met Dean.
Your meeting with Dean was out of pure luck. Your car had crashed into his when you were on a run from a monster. They immediately found out that you were hunting the same nest of vampire that they were. They were quite taken aback when you told them that you were a solo hunter.
Although as much as Dean was furious at first because you damaged his beloved Baby, you and him slowly became good friends. So when Sam invited you to live with them, you agreed without any second thoughts. Sam was like the younger brother you never had but Dean was another story. After several months of dancing around the fact that you both had feelings for each other and also because of Sam’s annoyance, Dean decided to ask you out.
Now, today as you looked at your reflection in the mirror, tears started to well up in your eyes. You never thought you would be able to see yourself like this - wearing a beautiful white gown as your would-be husband takes a stand at the altar, waiting for you to walk down the aisle.
“All done, sweetie,” Jody said as she put the final touches to your makeup and hair, “you look beautiful.”
You took a final look at yourself in the mirror. Your eyes travelled south, eventually finding the beautiful engagement ring on your hand. Dean had given it to you on the same night he had asked you to marry him. The ring was perfectly kept in the pocket of one of his coats - he wanted to ask you for a long time but he always would chicken out at the last minute until that night. After he had put the ring on your finger, Dean had pulled you close, whispering “I love you” into your ear a thousand times. That night had ended with you and him in bed, entangled up with each other, panting and mumbling ‘I love you’s into each other's ears.
You smiled when you remembered the soft memory from that night.
“Jody, just don't let me fall while I walk down the aisle,” you said, standing up. Claire and Alex helped with the gown.
“Oh honey, I won't let you fall but if I do Dean will be there to catch you. That boy will always catch you before you hit the ground,” Jody said.
Jody Mills, you met her after you became a permanent resident of the bunker. She was a good friend of the Winchesters but she was more like a mother to you than a friend. She was there whenever you needed to talk. She supported you always so when Dean asked you about who will walk you down the aisle, you went straight to Jody’s house and asked her the question. She was surprised but eventually agreed, with tears in her eyes.
“We're ready,” Donna poked her head into the room and said.
Alex and Claire walked out of the room before you.
You linked your right arm with Jody’s, taking a deep breath, you tried to calm down your racing heart.
“Let's do this.”
You walked out of your dressing room and started to walk towards the garage where the wedding crremony was being held.
When you reached the garage you saw a carpet was spread out for you, with flowers sprinkled over it. You looked up and saw Claire and Alex standing on the side, Jack standing there with your wedding bands. The few guests you had invited - Bobby, Charlie, Rowena, Donna sitting at the front. You saw Sam standing beside Dean, he had a black tux on. He was looking right at you with a small smile on his face. Just beside him, stood Dean, a soft smile playing on his lips.
You started to tear up when you saw him. This was all you ever wanted - to spend the rest of your life with the man you love, your soulmate.
You walked towards Dean, Jody letting go of your arm. He extended his hand at you. You took his hand and stood beside him. You looked up at Dean, your eyes locking with his jade ones. His eyes were moist and you were yourself trying not to cry.
“You look beautiful,” he said softly, a shy smile playing on your lips.
“Should we begin?” Cas asked. You had asked Cas to officiate your wedding because who would be better other than an angel?
You and Dean nodded.
Cas began the ceremony but you weren't paying attention to what he was saying. You were too mesmerised in Dean's eyes. You mind wandered off to all the times you had spent with Dean, hunting with each other or just spending a lazy day in bed with him.
You were broken from your thoughts when Cas asked if you wanted to say your own vows. You both nodded and Dean started to speak.
“Y/N, five years ago, when your car crashed into mine I didn't know then that I would be standing at here with you today. I love your coffee obsessed, nerdy self who is also a badass hunter who doesn't take any bullshit from others. Being with you brings the best out of me. I promise that I won't let anything happen to you ever even if I have to walk through fire to keep you safe. I promise I will never take you, us for granted. I promise to love you as you love me, through all hardship, darkness, and pain to reach for our joys, our hopes, and always with honesty and faith and lastly I promise to never make fun about how much you love the Harry Potter books.”
You wiped the tears that were now rolling down your cheek. “Y/N.” You heard Cas say your name and you started to speak.
“Dean, today when I woke up I had to catch my breath to believe this is real, that I am really marrying my true love, my heart's desire, my soulmate. I couldn't make myself believe that it was all real and not one of Chuck's plans, but after seeing you standing here, waiting for me, all my doubts flew out of the window. I promise to always love and cherish this relationship even when you are annoying me. I promise to always protect you and keep both of us from harm's way. I promise to always love and support you. I promise to always leave the last slice of my pizza for you and lastly I promise to not roll my eyes everytime you say a stupid movie reference.”
Tears were now flowing freely down your cheek. You didn't even bother to wipe them. You looked at Dean and saw him sniffling. His green eyes clouded with emotions. He mouthed “I love you”.
“It's time to bring in the rings,” Cas announced and
Jack walked in with the rings, “Y/N and Dean will now exchange rings to symbolize their commitment. Dean now you may take Y/N’s hand in yours and repeat these words after me.”
Dean repeated the words after Cas with a grin on his face, and took the ring from Jack, putting it on your finger.
“Y/N, please take Dean's hand and repeat these words.”
You repeated the words after Cas, with a smile playing on your lips. You smile got bigger when you took the ring from Jack and put it on Dean's. You and Dean said your I do's, your heart heavy with emotions.
“I now pronounce you husband and wife. Dean you may kiss your bride now,” Cas said and for the first you noticed, he had a big smile on his face too.
Dean pulled you into a kiss, the first kiss as husband and wife. You immediately melted into the kiss. Cheers erupted throughout the garage but you didn't pay any attention to them. You were finally married to Dean, the love of your life and that was what mattered the most. Dean finally let go of you and looked at you with a stupid grin on his face.
“Hey Mr. Winchester,” you whispered.
“Hey Mrs. Winchester,” Dean said.
“We are married.”
“We are married, sweetheart,” Dean sighed.
“Now let's go save the world,” you smiled.
“Let's go save the world, together.”

'Wedding March 5': Josie Bissett & Jack Wagner on Olivia and Mick Being 'Two Feet In'
By Meredith Jacobs June 06, 2019
Mick and Olivia are back, and their relationship is better than ever in My Boyfriend's Back: Wedding March 5 on the Hallmark Channel.
Jack Wagner and Josie Bissett reprise the roles they played in four previous installments, and their characters are ready to celebrate an important milestone: the 25th anniversary of their first date. But those plans aren't without hijinks, and it's far from a drama-free time at the inn.
Wedding planner Annalise (Cindy Busby) wants to use a wedding at the inn to woo investors for her own company, but the best man of the ceremony turns out to be her ex-boyfriend, Brad (Tyler Hynes). Can Mick and Olivia help those two find their way back to each other?
TV Insider spoke with Wagner and Bissett to find out what to expect from one of Hallmark's June Weddings movies.
Going back to when you two signed on for the first Wedding March movie, what drew you to your characters and the love story between them?
Jack Wagner: I'm an executive producer, so I developed the story, so I just thought it was a very cool, little idea. I took a little from my past, my own personal life of being a pop star in the '80s and then thought it was cute to have these college sweethearts that actually were musical together and wrote songs. And then he took off 'cause he had an opportunity for a record deal and a band and a tour and then that relationship lost itself.
Then they find one another again at the wedding lodge, and it just set up for this, "Oh my gosh, they have all of these unresolved feelings, they're all still there, and let's see where this goes." I thought it was really fun and charming how they tried to suppress their feelings and then by the end of the movie, they really couldn't. They had to come out. She broke off the engagement and then eventually moved up to the lodge and that opened up for this journey of these two characters.
That was the goal, to create a story that would be charming and engaging enough that the audience would want to join along and see where their journey goes.
Josie Bissett: The very first Wedding March was our absolute favorite one out of all of them, except I have to say number five was a close second, right, Jack?
Wagner: Yeah, for sure.
Bissett: I just really was excited to, number one, do a movie with Jack, and number two, my character was just something different that I'd never really gotten to play a lot, just a romantic comedy, more light-hearted, so I just really enjoyed that aspect of it.
Now that you’ve done five movies, what do you still love about these characters and their story and what has surprised you about them after playing them multiple times?
Wagner: I love that he is persistent. I love that when he's passionate about something, he really goes after it, right? He sometimes is like a bull in a china shop, which I think is part of his charm, his flaws.
By Wedding March 5 now, we really see more of the development of the love between the two characters of Olivia and Mick, something I believe that has evolved. I think they've grown. That's what I really had hoped for the whole franchise, that the audience looks forward to that and we were able to play it out long enough where we really get that payoff in Wedding March 5 by the end of it. Where these characters had grown and how they've evolved together, with a very deep love and understanding of one another.
With a lot of comedy, too. It's a really cute movie. It's really charming and funny how we set it all up.
Bissett: I would have to say it's my favorite character I've played in my career. It's where I'm at in my life and playing just a character that has a daughter and has been married and in relationships that I resonate with. I would just say she's grown like every other human grows and we get to watch all the characters in the five Wedding Marches grow and evolve and watch their relationships grow and evolve, and what I love about playing Olivia is the real aspect of it.
It seems that going into this fifth movie that Mick and Olivia's relationship is settled, they're settled into their professional lives. Last we saw, he gave her a promise ring. The inn seems to be doing well. Do you think everything is very stable for them at the moment?
Wagner: Yes, I do. What I love about these movies is that the obstacles that they face are really very real to the audience. Every couple faces these things, right? That's what I believe gives the characters their charm and it gives the movies their charm, especially the other leads, the wedding couples and what happens with the storyline outside of just Mick and Olivia.
It's really about the obstacles and how those obstacles, how clumsily they're addressed, the problems that you face with it, the mistakes everybody makes. But ultimately, how you overcome the problems, and hopefully by the end of it, you have a real loving, kind of charming solution.
What can you say about the new couple, Annalise and Brad? What do Mick and Olivia see of themselves and their relationship in them?
Wagner: I think they see a lot of what they faced. I have scenes with Brad, Olivia has scenes with Annalise, just giving advice. And what we also see is that with the advice they give, Mick and Olivia are coming to an understanding themselves. The more they talk about it, the more they help the other characters, the more they realize, "Wow, we're really lucky. We've got something really special here together," and that's what really gives us our payoff at the end of Wedding March 5.
We know Mick and Olivia are going to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their first date. Even though they were apart for some time, what does it mean for them to have that milestone?
Wagner: They had to basically re-introduce, relearn, not only who they were as a couple but individually. I think it was a real growth. Every movie is primarily about obstacles and the growth of overcoming those obstacles. That's what I think has really been the core to both characters and how to deal with those obstacles and by the end of the movie, there's some sort of loving solution, hopefully.
Bissett: Hopefully? What do you mean? It's Hallmark.
Wagner: I'm trying to leave it so there's some sort of cliffhanger.
Bissett: What's really adorable about this particular movie is the planning that both of them have going on, not realizing that the other one is doing the same thing and thinking there's no way that they'd remember. Each of them is planning something very special and put time into it and it's very heartfelt in the end, which the audience will see. It's also really cute the way the character Duke is caught in between. It's really fun. It turned out really good.
Wagner: And what's different about this movie is that Mick has always been the one pushing everything, planning and doing, and what's so lovely is that Olivia acknowledges that and says, "Mick's always been the one. I really want to ... "
So, by the time it all does happen, where they really come together with their little surprises, it's so charming and loving that we see Olivia has gone two feet in and her trying to do something really, really lovely for Mick. I think both Josie and I just naturally felt the emotion and the love in our performances. It took maybe 10 hours to shoot this scene, a long day, but I don't think there was one take where we weren't connected and really feeling this place where the characters were in that they were really two feet in together.
Bissett: Throughout these last five movies, Olivia has been the one to want to take it slow and be careful. She was engaged to someone else when she first met Mick in that very first movie, so she wants to just be sure and cautious and take her time. You could tell this movie that she's really ready to dive into this relationship with Mick and open her heart and isn't afraid anymore.

“You are so clever,” Michelle whispered as she looked at her reflection in the mirror. Alex glanced up at her friends through the mirror and smiled at the sight of them taking in their appearance. “We're going to Iook fabuIous tomorrow,” Liz squealed and Alex grinned widely.
“I want the perfect wedding,” Alex told them, “and I want my father to give me away.” “Better be a wide aisIe,” Michelle muttered causing Liz to whack the girl and give her a pointed look. Michelle just shrugged. “What? It’s true! She did invite three possible fathers to the wedding, Liz. What if she won’t be able to figure out who her real father is?” Michelle asked.
“I wiII know my father as soon as I see him,” Alex assured her, but the way she was biting her lip nervously told her best friends that she wasn’t quite so sure.
Michelle sighed and went to say something when the door opened up. The three turned their heads and Alex instantly smiled at the sight of her fiancé standing there. “Peter!” Michelle and Liz exclaimed before running over to their friend. Peter Parker smiled widely and hugged the two girls, his eyes flickering over to lock with Alex’s as he did so.
“Let me go! I’m getting married tomorrow,” Peter told them jokingly. The two girls chuckled and pulled away. “So,” Liz began. “What do you think?” The two girls then proceeded to pose in their outfits and Peter took a step back to look at them. “Oh, yes!” he said and as soon as the words fumbled out of his mouth he knew Alex was going to speak up.
“Oh yes?” she questioned, a teasing smile on her face. Peter turned to look at her and smiled as he walked up and wrapped his arms around her waist. “If you had it your way, it’d be a three-minute wedding in jeans and T-shirts,” she told him. “You make me sound so unromantic,” Peter said with a pout.
Alex chuckled and shook her head at the boy. He tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and looked over her face before saying, “As long as I get to marry you, I don’t really care about all of the other things.” Alex rolled her eyes at his cheesiness while her best friends let out an ‘awe’. “That was cheesy,” she told the boy to which he only smiled and shrugged. “It was romantic,” he said.
He pressed a gentle kiss to her cheek before pulling away and walking across the room to rummage through his things. “I just can’t wait for after the wedding, when you’ll be my wife and we can finally travel the world together,” Peter admitted, his eyes flickering over to his love before he winked at her. “WeII, we're not going anywhere yet,” Alex told him as she turned back to her friends and worked on the pins in their dresses, totally missing the small frown and look of disappointment on Peter’s face.
“Anyway, you know I love you Pete, but please leave. We’re very, very busy,” Alex told him. Peter smiled and grabbed his cowboy hat before putting it on his head and turning to the three. “Don’t worry, darling. I’m just getting some props for tonight,” Peter told her.
“Ooh!” Liz and Michelle chorused. “For his bachelor party,” Liz teasingly said. Peter just smiled and walked over to Alex before giving her a quick kiss. “I’ll see you later,” Peter told her before kissing her forehead and walking out of the room.
He was barely down the hall before he screamed, “I love you!” Alex’s face reddened slightly, but instantly yelled back at the same volume, “I love you more!” There was a moment of silence before Peter’s head poked back into the room. He gave her a cheeky grin and whispered, “Not possible.”
And with that, he disappeared down the hall. Alex smiled after him before turning back to look at her best friends who were standing there with their hands on their hips. “What?” Alex asked. “First of all, you two are so cute you make me want to puke,” Michelle began. “What she is trying to say is that you guys are so cute and she’s just jealous she doesn’t have someone,” Liz clarified.
Michelle threw a glare in Liz’s direction before looking back at Alex. “And the second thing?” Alex asked. “Why haven't you toId him you've invited your dads?” Michelle asked.
Alex stood there for a second before sighing. She had really hoped her friends wouldn’t realize that she hadn’t told Peter about the whole situation. “I know he’d support me and stuff, but he wouId say that I'd have to teII my mom,” Alex admitted.
“Y/N’s absoIuteIy gonna kiII you when she finds out,” Liz told her. “By the time she finds out, it'II be too Iate,” Alex assured them. Her eyes flickered over to the small journal sitting on her desk before looming back at her friends. “I feeI Iike there's a part of me missing,” she admitted, “and when I meet my dad. . .”
“Everything wiII faII into place.”

Y/N let out a content sigh as she drove down one of the few roads in the island, her hair blowing in the wind behind her as the sun rays hit her face. Her best friend Wanda sat in the passenger seat beside her and she closed her eyes and took in a deep breath trying to enjoy the calmness of the drive. “This is the last time we’re not going to be frantically running around, you know,” Wanda muttered. “Don’t remind me,” Y/N told her with a laugh.
Wanda chuckled slightly and opened her eyes. She immediately caught sight of a small ferry pulling into the docks that were little less than a mile away which caused her to sit up straighter in excitement. “They’re here!” Wanda said and Y/N couldn’t help but grin.
Not only did she get to have one of her best friends here for the wedding, but she got to have her other two best friends as well. Wanda lived on the island with Y/N and was practically her right hand man. She helped out around the hotel and had helped raise Alex. As for her other friends, Natasha and Pepper, it had been a while since Y/N had seen them. Natasha visited as often as she could, but Pepper hadn’t been able to get down to the island in quite some time, her work just being too much for her.
The thought of finally getting to have all of her best friends with her at once was enough to have Y/N stepping on the gas pedal just a little more. They were at the docks a few minutes later and Y/N couldn’t contain the small squeal that left her lips when she caught sight of her other two best friends standing at the end of the dock.
Y/N quickly took the key out of the ignition before jumping over the door and out of the car. “You know there’s a door, right?” Wanda asked her as she opened her door and stepped out, but Y/N just waved her off. The two girls practically ran down to the docks before coming to a stop at the end.
“Wanda, will you Iook at what the tide washed in?” Y/N said loud enough for her two friends to look up. Huge grins spread across their faces at the sight of the other half of the group and they quickly positioned themselves back to back. Wanda and Y/N did the same.
“For one night,” Natasha and Pepper yelled. “And one night only,” Wanda and Y/N yelled back. All four grinned at each other before yelling, “Y/N and the Dynamos!”
The four friends then all let out screams of joy as they ran down the docks to each other. They instantly wrapped the others into a big hug, stumbling back until they all tripped and fell onto the ground. The four friends let out loud laughs at that and Y/N quickly got up and helped the others up off the ground. “Look at you!” Y/N exclaimed as she looked at her two best friends with a huge grin on her face.
“Look at you!” Pepper retorted. “You guys all look fantastic,” Y/N told them. “You look like an old hippie!” Natasha teased as she gestured towards Y/N’s outfit which consisted of overalls and a white shirt. “She looks great,” Pepper said as she gave Natasha a playful glare. The four stared at each other for a moment before grinning widely and putting their hands together as they began to walk in a circle.
“Dynamos! Dynamite! SIeep aII day and whoop all night!”
- - -
“So, any men at this wedding?” Natasha asked from her spot in the backseat of the Jeep. Her legs were sprawled out across Wanda’s lap and she was leaning her head back as the warm wind flew through her red hair. “Gorgeous Greeks of independent means?” Natasha asked, waving her hand in the air as she put her sunglasses on with her other hand.
Y/N raised her eyebrows and looked back at Natasha before looking at the road. “I thought you were still seeing Clint?” Y/N voiced out. Natasha’s eyes widened. “I am! He’s sorry he couldn’t come by the way. Work’s had him all tied up,” Natasha said. “Then who were you asking for?” Wanda asked curiously.
“I wasn’t talking about me, that’s for sure. I was talking about Ms. I Have My Own Business And No Time For Fun,” Natasha said and the three friends immediately looked at Pepper who was busy checking her phone. Pepper didn’t even glance up as she said, “That’s not true. I’m here, aren’t I? Y/N, dear, eyes on the road. I don’t want to die yet, I’ve only just gotten here.”
Y/N chuckled softly and shook her head as she turned her attention back to the road. Pepper finished up on her phone before putting it into her bag. “As for you,” Pepper began as she pointed a finger at Natasha. “Just because your book is a bestseller and you have the whole world cooking Russian dishes doesn’t mean you know what fun is, okay? I’m pretty sure you’re idea of fun is stuffing mushrooms or something like that.”
Natasha faked a hurt look as she put a hand over her chest. “That one stung,” Natasha muttered as she pretended to cry. Pepper rolled her eyes at the girl and reached back and slapped her leg softly. Natasha just laughed and finally sat up in her seat. “Nat’s right, you know,” Wanda finally spoke up. “It’s time to find Mr. Right, Pepper!” Pepper rolled her eyes. “Oh, please. Boring!” Pepper exclaimed.
Y/N chuckled and said, “Great couple of role models you lot are for Alex!” The four chuckled and Y/N glanced over at Pepper. “What’s the big deal, Pepper? You have a successful business and you’re life is practically already planned out. When are you finally going to let us help you find that special someone?” Y/N asked.
Pepper stared at the girl for a moment before looking away and at the scenery before them. “No time,” Pepper said with a small yet sad smile on her face. Her three friends looked over at her with pity and Pepper sighed before sitting up in her chair. “I’m a lone wolf,” she told them jokingly with a wink, hoping to lighten the mood. She then proceeded to let out a howl and her friends all laughed as they turned a corner.
They finally reached their destination and Y/N put the car in park before turning it off and hoping out. “So, when are the Iovebirds fIying the nest?” Natasha asked. “Oh, God! Who knows?” Y/N said with a smile. “You know, Y/N and I do not know what is going on in that chiId's head sometimes,” Wanda told the two and Y/N chuckled.
“That’s one hundred percent true. She wants a big white wedding, and she and Peter are making aII kinds of pIans for the hoteI,” Y/N explained as she went to the back of the truck. “Sometimes I think they'II never Ieave.” “Yeah, but do you reaIIy want her to?” Pepper asked causing the (h/c) haired girl to stop in her tracks. “WeII, I want what's best for her,” Y/N admitted. She then looked over at her friends and smiled before saying, “Of course not!”
Her friends all laughed out loud and Y/N smiled before noticing someone out of the corner of her eye. “Peter!” She exclaimed and said boy instantly turned to look at her. “Yes, Ms. L/N?” He said. “Come meet my backup girIs!” Y/N exclaimed and Peter smiled before walking over to the group.
“Backup girIs, my ass!” Pepper, Natasha, and Wanda all said.
Peter reached them and Y/N smiled at the boy as she put a hand on his shoulder. “This is Peter Parker. He's the Ieading man at tomorrow's shindig,” Y/N told them all. “The Iucky man,” Peter corrected her and Y/N smiled at him before patting his shoulder.
Peter walked over to the newcomers and gave them a warm smile. He held his hand out and helped Pepper get out of the car. “HeIIo,” Pepper greeted him. “You must be Pepper,” Peter told her causing the girl to smile. “I am,” Pepper said as she gave the boy a hug. “How are you?” Peter asked her. “Very weII, thank you,” Pepper said.
Peter gave her one more smile before turning and helping Natasha out of the car. “Flaming red hair. You must be Natasha. I’ve heard so much about you,” Peter said as he gave the girl a hug. “All bad, I hope,” Natasha joked. “Yes,” Peter jokingly said. “And all true!” Y/N exclaimed from the back of the Jeep where her and Wanda were struggling to get the bags out of the back.
Peter quickly rushed over and stopped the two women. “I’ve got this. You two go ahead with your friends,” Peter told them with a small smile. Y/N looked at the boy and grinned before shaking her head. “Thanks, Peter, but I’ve got it,” Y/N told him.
Peter sighed but reached forward and grabbed some of the bags. “Then at least let me help,” Peter said and Y/N hesitated before nodding. Peter smiled at the lady and grabbed a few more bags than necessary before either of the girls could protest.
They all then walked to the bottom of the steps where Natasha was currently staring at the stairs that seemed to go on for miles. “This always is the worst part of visiting here,” Natasha muttered and the group chuckled in response.
And with that, they started the long journey up to the hotel.

Summary: The court has arrived at Kiara’s duchy, but things for the art festival don’t go as planned. Kiara throws herself at Drake causing some tension between Drake and Emma before their R-rated movie date. Doubts start to creep into Drake’s head just before they find Liam waiting for them.
Chapter 15: A Thousand Years - Christina Perri
The day we met, Frozen I held my breath Right from the start I knew that I'd found a home for my heart Beats fast Colors and promises How to be brave? How can I love when I'm afraid to fall But watching you stand alone? All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow
One step closer I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don't be afraid I have loved you For a thousand years I'll love you for a thousand more
Time stands still Beauty in all she is I will be brave I will not let anything take away What's standing in front of me Every breath Every hour has come to this
Emma was up early the next morning, she wandered down to find Hakim and Francesco in a panic. The gallery had flooded in the night, it was supposed to open this morning. Emma texted her friends 911 and they all came down to the sitting room.
“What happened?” Liam was the first to arrive. Francesco explained again, he was sure that it was sabotage. It was the same attackers from the homecoming ball, they were sure of it. Hakin and Francesco began planning to cancel the festival, they wouldn't be able to clear out the water in time, that would devastate all the work they had just done in Applewood to rally the people.
“No. What if we didn't have to cancel. No art was damaged, spin it as an art installation! It can be to raise awareness about the flooding in Portavira. Show that we're united and support the other duchies.”
“It would strengthen morale among the people!” Liam chimed in. Hakim stopped and considered their words.
“How would we pull it off?”
“I'll put it all over social media! An exclusive exhibit available today and here only!” Emma nodded at Maxwell, he began firing away on his phone.
“I'll direct clean up. I'm probably the only person here who knows how to use a bucket and mop.” Drake said.
“We get the worst of the water out and it won't look too messy.”
“If we pass out color coordinated rain boots at the door, we can add to the experience!” Hana had taken color theory lessons and so she was the perfect person for the job.
“This is a great plan but why are you doing this for us?” Emma smiled.
“It's the right thing to do. You're a citizen of Cordonia, we do everything we can do our citizens.”
“Let's get started then!” Hakim hired a cleanup crew, and everyone got to work. A few hours later, Madeleine had Emma meet her at a local boutique. Madeleine was on Emma's case about recruiting Hakim and Joelle even though she was sure they would come since she had just saved their gallery. Madeleine just rolled her eyes and held up an off the shoulder dress with different shades of purple, pink, blue and white that all complemented each other. The dress looked like an abstract canvas. She wore a small, rhinestone necklace to complement the dress, Drake's ring tucked safely away. By the time Emma arrived at the gallery, guests had already begun arriving and Hana had given them a pair of rainboots that matched their outfits better than expected. She joined her friends in the center of the gallery and Drake ran his eyes up and down her body hungrily.
“I… uh...wow.” Drake mumbled unable to form a coherent sentence.
“So, you like the dress?” He nodded.
“It's lovely Emma. Are you ready to address the crowd?” Liam and Emma addressed the crowd and told them that the water installation was an anonymous artist. They wandered through the exhibit themselves, stopping to discuss various paintings. They stopped at an abstract piece and everyone struggled to make sense of it, Drake and Emma, having had no training on the subject. As the others wandered through the gallery, Emma stopped next to Drake and followed his gaze to an “EXIT” sign with glowing green letters.
“What are you doing?”
“Trying to figure out the idea of modern art. Take this for example, it's just a sign that says exit, but what does it mean? Is it saying we all exit life eventually? Is it meant to be a warning?”
“Are you saying you want to get as far away from possible as me?” Emma teased, and Drake playfully rolled his eyes.
“As deep and profound as that was Drake, I think this is just an exit sign.” He frowned, and then sighed as a patron walked out the door just beneath it.
“Whatever.”
“Don't worry, I won't tell anyone.”
“Tell anyone what?” Maxwell appeared behind them silently making them both jump.
“Uuuh how great that painting is!” Emma pointed randomly at a painting. Maxwell smiled and delved into a story known as the Great Ketchup Incident of ‘96. Bertrand approached seemingly out of nowhere, the first time they had seen him in days, handling Beaumont house affairs. He was there only briefly, mentioned that Maxwell was helping with the affairs and then he was gone. Emma and Maxwell were concerned, on top of all his stress, he was trying to mend his relationship with Savannah and Bartie. Emma approached Joelle next, admiring the piece she had completed yesterday when they first met. They had a discussion about what her art meant and how it translated to what she and Hakim wanted for Cordonia. After they all regrouped, they left the art exhibit for the food, needless to say, Drake and Maxwell were quite excited.
All kinds of various smells wafted through the air, spicy, sweet, even sour, it was glorious. Instead of trying everything like Maxwell suggested, they wandered around to try everyone's favorites. Hana got everyone some ash-e reshteh, a Persian dish. It was a savory soup with beans and parsley, the flavors blending together well. Even Drake was impressed. Liam led everyone over to a colorful booth that smelled of various spices, getting everyone some chicken tagine. As everyone ate, Liam and Drake shared the story of how thanks to Leo, it became one of Liam's favorite dishes, sibling rivalry at its finest which escalated into a full blown prank war. Drake was eager to pick the next dish, feijoda. It was similar to chili, a mixture of beans and meat garnished with an orange slice. It was rich and salty with the pork and beef, very clearly a Drake dish. Instead of picking a food, Maxwell ran off, following the sounds of a live band. He wanted everyone to dance. Emma longed to dance with Drake, but with too many prying eyes she danced with Liam and watched as Kiara approached Drake and asked him to dance. Emma tensed up and watched as she wrapped her arms around his neck and swayed in time to the music, slowly getting closer to him. When the music stopped, Drake unhooked Kiara from him and walked over to his friends. Emma could feel her blood boiling, but she forced herself to smile and walk over to Olivia and Penelope on the edge of the crowd, Kiara rejoining them. They left to go get some cotton candy and the rest of the group began to leave until Drake pulled Emma back.
“I'm sorry.” He whispered. Emma nodded, she knew he couldn't have turned Kiara down without looking incredibly rude.
“Come here, there's one more thing I want to show you.” He led Emma to a freezer stand with an Italian flag. Gelato, it was Emma's favorite dessert, she had studied abroad in Florence for a semester in college and she became very familiar with the ice cream like treat. Drake ordered a chocolate gelato while Emma settled for a fruity raspberry. It was the perfect mixture of creamy and sweet, melting on their tongues.
“How is it?” Emma giggled as she got a brain freeze.
“The only thing that would make this better would be if I could kiss you right now.” Drake grinned mischievously and looked at Emma.
“I wish we weren't in public right now, the things I want to do to you.” He leaned in to whisper. Emma felt herself blushing as he stepped back. She seductively took a bite of ice cream, exaggerating how good it tasted, moaning.
“Keep it going until tonight Mr. Walker.” She winked just before they left the festival to catch up with their friends. On their way out, they ran into Hakim and Joelle. They were so impressed by Emma's willingness to step up that in return they agreed to attend her wedding. As they return to the estate, she couldn't stop thinking about how in love Hakim and Joelle still were after so many years together.
“What are you thinking about?” Emma looked at Drake unsure of how long he had been staring at her.
“Nothing.”
“Barnes I've been trying to get your attention for the last five minutes, you've got that look on your face, the one you get when you're lost in your own head.”
“I was thinking about Hakim and Joelle. Look how in love they still are with each other. Do you think you'll still love me that much, years from now?” Drake chuckled and carefully checked their surroundings before pulling Emma close to him.
“Barnes, I love you more and more every day. I think we're going to love each other even more than they do when we're their age.” Emma pulled Drake in for a tender kiss as he pulled her body flush against his dipping her down. When they stood up and he released her, she was light headed, her heart swelled.
“The real question is will you still love me that much.” She cupped his cheek and smiled.
“You're the only one for me Drake Walker.” Once back at the estate, Emma left to go find Liam to discuss what food from the festival they would serve at the wedding and Drake mentioned something about looking up movie times. She found Drake in the sitting room, lounging on a couch, he looked exhausted.
“Drake?” He didn't seem to hear her.
“Knock knock, anyone home?” She waved her hand in front of Drake's face and he blinked his eyes back into focus.
“Oh, hey Barnes. Sorry.”
“Everything okay?” he sighed.
“All this courtly stuff is suffocating. I thought it would be nice to get out, see a movie tonight, like normal people. Try to stay sane.”
“I feel like there's a ‘but’ coming.” Drake dragged his hand over his face and Emma knew it wasn't good.
“But Kiara cornered me, again.” Emma rolled her eyes, she was ready to kick Kiara out of court, tell her to stay home.
“What happened Drake?” Emma's tone was flat, and Drake flinched at the thought of having to tell her.
“I mentioned I was going to the movies and she invited herself.” Emma groaned before suddenly jumping off the couch.
“You did WHAT?!” Emma was furious, she wanted some alone time with Drake and Kiara kept getting in the way.
“She invited herself Barnes. It's not like I could say, actually I'm taking my best friend's fiancé out on a date.”
“Call a cab, I'll meet you outside in five minutes. We're leaving right now before she can crash.” Emma didn't give him a chance to answer, she dashed off to her room to change into a little black dress, casual enough for the movies.Even if he did have time to answer, he wasn’t going to protest, he thought Emma might kill him. Once they arrived, they settled on a spy thriller full of romance, it was that or a horror movie which wasn't exactly romantic when you couldn't cuddle in public. Drake bought the tickets and a large bucket of buttery popcorn.
“This is nice Barnes.” He scooped up some popcorn, ready to eat it but Emma snatched it out if his hands with her mouth playfully. Drake pretended to pout as he watched her eat his popcorn, but the corner of his lips twitched up into a grin.
“That's how you want to play it Barnes?” She giggled and scooped up some popcorn of her own, throwing it at Drake who tried to catch it, before she finished it. They laughed walking into the theatre together, unaware they had been spotted. Emma dragged him to the very back corner of the theatre and Drake frowned.
“What are we doing back here Barnes?”
“Getting the full movie experience. You'll see.” More people shuffled into the theatre, spread out across the seats. Finally, the lights dimmed, and the movie began playing. Drake was into the movie, but Emma had other things in mind. She hadn't been able to stop thinking about Drake kissing her on the way back from the festival, her imagination running wild. She placed her hand on Drake's thigh and slowly moved her hand up until she reached Drake's crotch. He gasped as she grabbed him, looking over at her surprised, she met him with a heated kiss. Drake fell into it and tangled his hands in her hair as Emma continued to rub over his jeans, feeling him grow hard. He moaned against her lips as she quietly undid his jeans and freed his hard length.
“Barnes what are you doing?” He hissed as her lips surrounded him. She began sucking, running her tongue up and down his shaft, teasing the tip with her tongue. Drake moaned a little too loudly and someone glanced back, Drake pretended to be watching the movie while Emma remained hidden behind the seats in front of her.
“You have to be quiet Drake.” She whispered before going back down on him, bobbing her head until he came, gripping the arm rests as he tried to stay quiet. Emma smiled, licking her lips as Drake tried to compose himself, tucking his dick back into his pants.
“What was that for?” Emma smiled mischievously and leaned in to whisper in his ear again.
“The full movie experience. What do you think the back row is for?” Drake shook his head grinning.
“We're not done Drake.” He turned to look at her surprised.
“What do you mean?”
“I want to feel your fingers inside of me Drake.”
“Barnes.” Drake wanted nothing more than to please Emma but he had never done something like that in a room full of people before.
“Drake, if you want to sneak into my room tonight and make it out of this duchy alive, you'll do as I ask.” Her tone was threatening and his stare even.
"I took you on a real date, we almost got caught a couple seconds ago. Do we really need to do this Barnes?" He didn't need lots of light to see the look on her face. He wasn't going to make it out of the theatre alive if he protested, besides everyday he looked forward to sneaking into her room. He wasn't ready to give that up, and he had to admit that almost getting caught was kind of hot, the thrill of it. Emma surprised him again when she leaned back against the wall and put her legs up, grabbing Drake's hand and rubbing it between her legs. He stifled a gasp when he realized she wasn't wearing any underwear. Drake started slow, rubbing circles on her clit and then dragging his fingers between her lips to see if she was wet. Drake teased her entrance as she pushed her hips towards him, but he pulled away and began rubbing her clit again. He was going to have some fun with it, payback for almost getting them busted. Again, he teased her entrance which was dripping wet at this point.
“Drake.” She begged. He loved hearing her say his name. Finally, he slipped one finger inside her, she whispered, it wasn't enough, so he slipped another and began pumping, hitting her g-spot perfectly. He felt her hips buck forward and he knew she was close, so he pulled out and waited for a few seconds before teasing her clit, bringing her right to the edge again. She was breathing hard, trying not to be heard by anyone else. She met Drake's eyes with a pleading gaze. He slipped his fingers inside her and pumped until he felt her cum on him, her muscles spasming around his fingers. She watched, satisfied and worn out as he grabbed some popcorn and ate it before sucking her cum off his fingers. Emma pulled her skirt down and was scooting over to kiss Drake when the lights came on. She jumped back and looked around as everyone began leaving. The people in front of them, turned around to see who had been sitting behind them, to see if they could figure out why it sounded like Drake was moaning but they didn't look disheveled, so the people left.
“So how was your real movie experience?” Emma asked as they walked out, dumping the popcorn bucket on the way.
“I'd definitely do that again. What got into you though?”
“Kiara’s been all over you since we got here. I needed to know that you were still mine and I was still yours.” Drake felt a pang of guilt, he wanted nothing more than to push Kiara away, and kiss Emma in front of everyone like no one was watching, but he knew that could never happen. Dark thoughts about how this was going to work long term began to slip into his mind, of course he wanted it to work, he loved Emma, he would never love anyone again that much, but there would always be another Kiara.
“I told you earlier Em, you've got nothing to worry about.” They held hands in the taxi back to the estate, running into Liam on their way to her room. He didn't look pleased.
