Okay, genuinely, Ashton's "you've never understood me" line to Chetney is hilarious, cause BITCH, HE'S HAD YOUR NUMBER SINCE DAY ONE.

Seriously, I am and continue to be convinced that Ashton is basically Chetney 300 years ago, or at least a lot more similar than they'd like to believe. I mean… fucked over and abandoned by his family, left to fend for himself as a kid during the reign of a tyrant, chip on his shoulder, defaults to snark and cynicism to mask vulnerability, pretty abrasive until he warms up to you (remember how he was with Dorian at the beginning?)...

Chet's just had 300 years to level out, devote himself to a craft, learn to appreciate things rather than resenting everything.

I also feel hyperfocused in my role of the situations that happen in my life. But what do you do when you attract the same person, and when i say the same person, i mean that the situation with that person always ends the same way. I get to know them, we have a great time together, then they exhibit that loss of interest by not planning things together/ responding to texts late, i get sad and start stalking them to find out they have whole ass girlfriends. I sometimes wonder that my stalking skills should be used for something greater because im aware these men aint shit. But How does One particularly Break This Pattern??. I am not the type to ask for closure because I dont believe in that. I do not want to get lied to

so this is loaded and im going to unpack it in two layers because i feel like there are two things at play here

– firstly im not an advocate of men being trash, not even in a tongue in cheek way. yes people do fucked up things, but it goes both ways. usually its our ability to pick a partner thats at fault, not the pool of people we're picking from. there are plenty of good people in this world. of course there are bad too, but who you gravitate toward says more about where you currently are in your life, than it does about the person you chose. – when it comes to attracting the same person, if you believe in the law of correspondence, then that individual is merely a reflection of something operating within you. that likeness you both share may be something within you thats overt (your aware of) or covert (your unaware of), we'd have to talk more to unpack it fully, but at some fundamental level you are both a match for eachother. – sometimes its that you crave love but only know how to recognise affection in unavailable/deceptive/'insert harmful quality here' people. sometimes it can be that you are so in denial about your own desire for love that you give off an air of nonchalance and unavailability that repels who you're trying to attract. – the process i personally undergo to help me in this regard is that in between situations that go wrong, i take breaks from introducing any one new to my life (romantically) and i do the healing. i dont just mean heal from the disappointment experienced as a direct consequence of that situation not going as id hoped/planned for. i mean getting down to the root cause of what in me is attracted to these individuals, what in me accepts their behaviour or allows me to be blind to their behaviour, and then addressing what happened to me in my formative years that taught me this blue print of being. once im clear on why this cycle or pattern is playing out for me and how the root of it exists within me, i then begin to look at who i want to be instead of who i have been being. it takes a lot of work and acceptance of the fact that im going to make mistakes, and need to have grace for myself when i do. it also comes with knowing i will lose and gain people, things, and positions in life as i embark on that journey. in order to become something new what i was has to die, and so i have to be willing to let go and put parameters in place for what i will and wont accept in the process of that.

for example, someone who loves me will give me the grace, the mercy, the patience, love and support to grow. people who dont may do any number of things to put me back into the 'shell' of who i was and who they're comfortable with me being. however, i have to accept and commit to who im becoming no matter the cost and trust that what stays or is added to my life is a reflection of that work and its increase in my life, and that whoever leaves or comes to teach me an oftentimes unpleasant lesson, is also blessing me and protecting me with their absence. when that loss feels like rejection or abandonment its important to remember that its actually blessing you, cause i find it can be a huge trigger and make me want to shut off mentally, emotionally and physically and undo all the work ive been doing or question if its actually working. it is. – those boundaries are also necessary because as you become the a fuller version of yourself, you will learn what it looks and feels like to be loved and honoured. that sets the new bar for anyone entering your space for how they treat you, and is how you begin to attract a different type of person that can match your energy and give you what it is you desire from a relationship.

the second and last part to this is a slight read because there is a quote i heard once "your words betray you" and i feel it applies here. its okay to ask for or need closure, and part of that is accepting that sometimes people aren't lying to you. they're trying to give you an answer out of respect or with the intention of doing the right thing, but they actually don't know the answer within themselves (haven't done the work) OR the truth is they just cant give you what you want/need/desire, and were never the person with the capacity to do so. it can be hard to let go of the idea that someone who hurt you and let you down is a villain, and closure can force us into seeing people in a more nuanced light than we are prepared to. this forgiveness work and letting go is tied to what i wrote above, but oftentimes is the last step because you cant forgive what you dont understand and you cant forgive before you are ready to. – i get the sense that your someone who has closed off their desire for love/support from others due to perhaps not having had it when you needed it or from being hurt before, and so now your independence is a shield protecting you from what you feel is the inevitable pain or disappointment on the other side of relationships. if that is the case : 1) check that because you don't want to get yourself into the loop of a fulfilling prophecy. 2) open yourself to the idea that you can open yourself to someone, get hurt, but still survive it and come out with more love to give and receive on the other end. and that 3) when you do the work that allows you to meet the right one for you, it might actually last for your lifetime. and!! that part of what makes it last is multiple conversations where closure and believing that despite their best intentions they hurt you but still want to figure it out is part of it. conflict resolution is harder than walking away or believing that men are full of shit.

3. a specific color that gives you the ick?

i cant really think of any specific color that incites a visceral reaction but i will say im not a fan of any color that looks like it was regurgitated. the thing is that a lot of colors look bad in one context and great in another. so if i mentioned like diarrhea green, it could look bad on a swatch but look really great as someone's eye color LMFAO. rockin the diarrhea green eyes fr.

6. do you use a watch?

i dont but i did have a period where i wore a pocketwatch with a chain all the time. which of course was not properly wound so i didn't use it for timekeeping. just the aesthetic. we also have a tes imperial dragon pocket watch necklace that another alter wears when he fronts but the internal mechanics are broken so as much as we'd love to wind it up, we cant.

12. brand of haircare/bodycare/skincare that you trust 100%?

i dont know that i will ever fully trust a brand, BUT i swear by that whole curly girl method thing (look i didnt name it). as someone who thought they would always have unmanageable frizzy uncurly hair, it changed my life. im not gonna explain the whole routine or nuances of that method in depth. but basically i mostly co-wash and condition my hair using Tresemme Botanique Nourish + Replenish Conditioner with Coconut Oil and Aloe Vera and abt once a week i use VO5 Herbal Escapes Kiwi Lime Squeeze Clarifying Shampoo to make sure theres no buildup of shit in my hair. only leave in product i put in my hair is Marc Anthony's Strictly Curls Lotion. anyone who has curly or wavy hair should check the CGM out. i fr just took the low budget product suggestions and ran with them and theyve worked great for me for several years now. i did the curl casing stuff with hair gel until i got the mullet but ive considered doing it again once my hair is pretty long

"Now is not the time or place". Sam tried to reason with Bella, holding off his pack from attacking her.

"Oh it's the perfect time. I can hear from all your buddies telling me how you bragged about your score".

Sam narrowed his eyes at Bella with a growl."I would never do that to Y/N".

"Then you should have left her alone".

"She's an adult. She can do what she wants". Sam simply and calmly told her. Bella shook her head aggressively.

"No, she doesn't need this life. It's bad enough that she knows I'm dating a vampire, Y/N doesn't need to get dragged into this world of yours".

"I'm not going to hurt her, if that's what's worrying you. She won't get hurt. I'm going to protect her".

"Are you going to protect her from the Volturi? Cause they're after anyone that knows about the Cullens"?

"I'll lay down my life for her".

"You imprinted on her didn't you"? Bella scoffed.

"Why? Does Sam have some disease that I dont know about? We used a condom if that's what you're worried about".

"Gross". Bella scrunched up her nose and shivered at the thought.

"Into what? I'm not the one dating a vampire. You're the one that's going to change. I'm living a pretty normal life".

You were getting fed up with the cat and mouse game with Bella. So you went back out to find Sam. He was still standing with his friends.

"Everything okay"? He asked as you got down to him.

"Show her". Bella demanded.

"Show her what"? Paul chuckled, making Sam shake his head at him to be quiet.

"Why are you doing this Bella"? Sam whispered low.

"She needs to know the truth before she gets into something that could kill her. So show her Sam".

"I'm confused right now. What is going on Sam"?

"Do you love me"? Sam asked a hard but simple question.

"Sam"?

"No, do you love me? Do you want to be with me"?

"Yes, I love you".

"Alright, back up. I dont want you to get hurt". Sam walked away from you and Bella going into the forest.

Bella grabbed your hand, the others started laughing as they saw that you were a little afraid of what Sam was doing.

"What"? You questioned but went silent as the trees disappeared behind a very large, very hairy black wolf. Your heart started to beat faster than its every done before. Bella held your hand tighter.

The wolf came closer to you, snarling his teeth. He was right in front of you and bowed his head to you. Telling you that he meant no harm and he was friendly.

"Sam"? You gulped as you stepped forward.

"Y/N"? Bella warned you as you stuck out your hand to touch its head.

You didn't listen to her and petted the top of Sam's head gently. He relaxed into your touch.

"This is really happening right now? Sam is a giant wolf? Holy shit". You gasped with a giggle.

"He's asking if you're okay with him changing in front of you"? Paul told you.

"Yeah, give me Sam". You stepped back, watching Sam change back to his human figure.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you". He told you but it didn't matter, you wrapped your arms around his neck kissing his lips.

"I understand, you had to be safe with making the decision".

"I trust you with knowing this.  I also love you and I want to be with you".

"I want to be with you too".

"That is until he imprints on someone else and leaves you". Bella said in the background.

"To your question before, I did imprint on Y/N, the moment we met".

"Great, you screwed up her life".

"How? How did Sam screw up my life? I'm in a fairly normal relationship. My boyfriend isn't cold and dead. His family is more likely to kill you than Sam is to hurt me".

"You don't want this life".

"Are you jealous, Bella? I have the werewolf and you don't? Because right now you seem jealous of what I have with Sam".

Bella scoffed, taken back that you were the one coming after her now. She didn't think you would stand up to her like that over your relationship with Sam.

"No, I'm not jealous. I just dont want you to get hurt. I don't want dad to have to worry about you. Him finding your body in a ditch some where cause you got attacked by a werewolf".

"She's more likely to get attacked by a vampire than one of us". Sam stepped in.

"They wouldn't hurt her".

"Yeah, they won't.  But what about traveling vampires that the Cullens bring in? Once I've imprinted on Y/N no wolf can touch her. It's the law".

"Laws can be broken. Dont you see that"?

"Well, she's safe here. I'm not letting anyone or thing get to her. So you don't have to worry". Sam wrapped his arm around your waist. 

"You should have stuck with your own kind". Bella yelled out of anger, she'll regret telling Sam that .

"You're lecturing me about sticking with my own kind? I'm not the one that's going to die for some ancient old person that's been around for hundreds of years. I'm sorry that I'm not human enough for you sister but I'm the best thing to it. Would you be happy if she got with Emmett or Jasper or one of the Volturi? Would that make a difference, you know since they're your kind"?

"I dont want her with them either".

"That's right. You dont want her to live her life and especially dont want her to have a relationship with anyone that you know. I'm not Jacob, I'm not going to be pushed around by you. You're not controlling us". Sam said sternly, stepping in front of you. Protecting you from your sister that will soon be an enemy to your kind.

"I just want her safe. I dont know what I'd do if I lost her".

"She's safe, with me. Now are you going to calm down and not dictate our relationship or do I have to ask you to leave"?

"I'm calm".

"Alright".

"So, are you guys a thing now"? Bella awkwardly asked.

"Yeah, why"? You could see she's thinking of a idea.

"Wanna double date"?

Sam shook his head, mouthing no.

"Sure, we'd love to".

"Cool, we can do something tonight if you guys want"?

"I have a wolf thing". Sam horribly made up something, scratching his head.

"We can do it tonight".

"Sweet, I'll tell Edward". Bella ran off. You guessed this was her was of accepting you and Sam.

"I dont want to have dinner with a blood sucker. Can't you read mouths".

"We are together which means you will be spending time with Bella and Edward. Also if Bella does get married and you and I get married that means that Edward is your brother n law. So play nice". You patted Sam's cheek. He rolled his eyes with a huff.

"I'm not liking this right now". He mumbled to himself.
