My chem teacher on the first day of school did a Safety Lesson (as you do) and taught us that a) unlabeled chemicals are bad and you should never do that and b) always assume the unlabeled water-like chemical is Not Water via demonstration with a base (iirc it was NaOH)

He then proceeded to turn around, put down the now pink Not Water on the table, and turn around holding TWO unlabeled test tubes of Not Water and yell "MORE UNLABELED CHEMICALS!!"

#he also made us chant the electron configuration 'loud enough so [math teacher across the hall] can hear it'#we got to like 3s² i think and she poked her head in like 'wtf'#my fourth period classmates said they could hear that shit down the hall #also i was in said math teacher's class for two years straight #and occassionally we'd hear clapping from the classroom i now have chem in #and we'd clap back #but i always wondered what they were clapping for in the first place #well #i found out on friday #we got privacy folders for our quiz #and we clapped #and the math class clapped back #i love chem <3
