okay here are some actual across the spiderverse thoughts so you have been Spoiler Warned! a lot of ranting im just getting it out of my head i guess.

the theatre was a lot busier than when we went 2 see renfield, and there were way more people in the theatre room itself (i guess the room where u watch the movie is also called the theatre?) so it was a bit nice to have more company i guess lol. i wasnt the only one rustling snacks around etc. and it was kind of nice to hear the murmur of reactions ::-)

okay the movie itself UMMM WAT CAN I SAY!! it was so so so visually gorgeous. everything is just packed with SO much life and character. every character is so unique in its visual style like you just know these people are using animation to its full power for REAL!!!!!!!!!

story wise.. i think it has a lot of the same themes as the first movie but i honestly dont remember it well. it was good !!! i dont have much to say on it i think the visuals are more fun to talk about ehehe

i think it is so crazy that tey were like yeah the guy who shouted BAGEL in the 1st movie is the main villain of this one. hello. its so funny but also to think it is funny is exactly what the villain wouldnt want you to think. SAD!

the villain was so fun to watch his manerisms were just so fun and he had interesting body proportions (idk and IDC if that is a weird comment to make) like everything abt him was just so [chefs kiss] AND. i love his design changing over time and when he is all scribbly and creepyyyyyy........yeahhhh. he was on screen and i was like what the hale they put rorschach in this movie.

i feel so bad for already forgetting this persons name (MIGUEL..???) im so sorry but one of the spider people was also so fun to watch he was very much The Angst Lord. and ppl in the tag are already writing insane smut with him. but anyways his snappy aggressive actions were just sooo fun to watch although a bit scary lol* (*the person writing this has experienced people losing their temper in violent ways too recently for comfort)

i knew spider punk was in this movie and i wasnt expecting his name to be Hobie and for him to be Bri'ish. he is so cool though rock on brother ?????

Ofc midori is JD. obvious answer considering he messes with and kills people for fun and is weirdly charismatic, despite some people finding him kind of unnerving. also I think midori climbing into someone’s bedroom window whenever he wants is really on point for him

It’s gotta be sara as veronica since she’s got her whole manipulation/murder streak in the simulations right? even if she’s not trying to kill people in heathers she does show the capacity for it (and does kill intentionally to save her own ass, even if she was pushed into the scenario) which is why JD/midori continues to find her interesting. which seems like an almost perfect parallel to how midori views sara in the game so... also haunted by hallucinations of the people she’s killed? 

It’s a stretch but heather chandler would be.. sou? ignore the logistics behind the hiyori act and his abnormal charisma we need an asshole character for sara to have a lovehate friendship with. maybe the whole shin tsukimi thing could actually be part of the fake suicide note they write that makes everyone pity and worship him in death?

The other heathers would be ranmaru as duke (the one that seems the most pushover and nice at the beginning but by the end takes the main heather spot and bullies heather mcnamara into attempted suicide) bc under the right circumstances he has the ability for evil like that. he’s normally a pushover that doesn’t stand up for himself but he gets the drive and inspiration after sous death bc for the first time he actually has a chance to be more than just a heathers underling. he could be worth something. the other heather mcnamara (probably the nicest one tbh) would be... alice? like I said even though he’s mean during the times where the heathers are all together, he’s the nicest underneath, and when the heathers break after sous death he starts expressing interests in things he didn’t/couldn’t before like reading. he also opens his heart as a radio show call in, which is something i can see alice doing... also ranmaru causing alice to (try to) die (after bullying him about the radio show call in)? yeah canon parallels again...

Sara’s old friend would be joe, someone she kind of wishes she never left for popularity. is it implied she goes back to him at the end of the movie? I don’t remember, pretend she does

Didn’t know I needed midori influencing sara to help kill people to try and convince her into his view of violence. also just bc he thinks it’s fun to manipulate her like that. imagine them: the scene where the day after they break up because she realizes he’s crazy sara says [about what to do later] “how about slitting heathers dukes wrists” and midori responds “that’s it! see I knew you’d be back to normal soon enough :)” implying he sees the dark part of her and actually thinks that they’re both on the same side of everything and that his encouragement is genuinely bringing out the part of her that he’s most similar to. like during the murders he actually thinks they’re convincing her to become violent like him (like how he thinks revealing her simulation self to her during the game will bring out the part of her he likes). also when he climbs into her window before the pep rally to kill her himself and discovers her “dead” and he’s just mildly annoyed he couldn’t end his pet project himself. yeah all sounds on point

anyway not to complain about fanfics on main again buuuuut

 ive been reading this one author for a while as theyve been releasing new fics and theyve already had some pretty dark shit in their fics but thats fine to me because i was expecting it but i w. i was reading one of their fics theyre working on now and its not done yet but im preeeetty sure its leading up to not only an incest ship that WASNT tagged but also is making jake out to be like a hugely horrible person on purpose . and its mostly the incest thing im mad about because in the relationship thing it does have them tagged but not using the / but using the  | instwad which implies friendship or platonic which i was like yes!!! brotherly content woo !! but i guess not !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and im pretty sure they only tagged it like tha because its implied to be a strictly pale relationship which is . still incest . even if its viewed as platonic . like moirailleigance (prob spelt that wrong idc) is still considered romantic to trolls even if it doesnt seem like that compared to human romance but even then when people see it as platonic they see it like a qpr rather than like ??? something appropriate between siblings???????????????????????? like bro tag your shit better pls. you couldve at least put something in the rest of the tags mentioning it. sad bc i was looking forward to how the rest of the fic was gonna play out or even just other fics this person wouldve done in the future but :| oh well
