I can't find the original post (thank you tumblr search [dys]function) but these hiccup cures have actually worked for me:
Dump salt on your tongue (in my experience this works most of the time)
Dump sugar on your tongue (the one time salt didn't work, this did)
Eat a lemon (haven't tried this one yet, but given the success of the others I will share it)
