i think, even though i do consider myself to be on the masc side of enby (im like strictly he/they irl and my actual chosen name is masc), reclaiming my Girlieness honestly has been so much fun. when i first kinda started processing my childhood, i was always so mad i wasnt a boy. i spent so much time with my cousins and close family friends, but ive never really been "one of the boys" yknow? that used to tear me up

but honestly so much of that was rooted in internalized transphobia. im glad i was raised a girl!! im glad my room was full of pink and green, wearing pink cowgirl boots everywhere i went and having all those glittery GIRL POWER shirts damn near every birthday. im glad i got to do things a lot of parents (at that time) wouldnt let their sons do because theyre "for girls" while also being a horror loving, tree climbing, summer camping tomboy. and im glad that little girl got to grow up into the person i am today. im glad im trans.

i wouldve missed out on american girl dolls, littlest pet shops, my little pony...idk. im glad i get the chance to be nostalgic and not resent my own childhood. baby lily deserves better than that :,)
