A Note To My Central Nervous System

Listen. It's okay. No, really, you need to chill.

I know it's important for the blood to be inside the body, I know. But a couple small blood draw vials are not enough to pose a threat. I promise. There's enough blood in the system to make up for it.

Oh, come on. You wouldn't even have known if I hadn't glanced over there. You're supposed to monitor the blood pressure differential and worry if THAT goes bad, not go "oh no, eyes spotted tiny amounts of OUR BLOOD in UNAUTHORIZED LOCATION time to engage vasovagal syncope! GO GO GO!"

Just. Please. Take it easy, okay?

#luckily today's slight blood draw did not provoke an actual vasovagal syncope #just the threat of one #but i have passed out at the sight of my own blood before and i'm here to tell you central nervous system #waking up in a puddle of pee was a lot worse than anything that would've come of that too-small-to-need-stitches thumb gash #listen cns i have healthy blood pressure and iron levels #we should be able to donate blood if you could just freaking chill #please just chill
