•he’s literally ur number one fan girl. he’s there for every performance, writings, everything. you name it he’s there!

•wally just loves watching you in the process of making music, its like an art! to him, it’s wonderful of how passionate you are about it. he adores watching you almost trip on a cord as you just jam out,, doesn’t matter how clumsy you are,, you’re just elegant to him. seeing you so peaceful as you strum on a guitar or something.. 🫶 (if he had a camera he would take a pic of you 200x)

•literally every-time you come up to him with ur newest draft of a song, he gets so excited!! that inner fangirl comes out.,, wally is pretty honest when it comes to stuff. but he just can’t help himself, every song, draft, album,, literally all perfection to him. you cannot do no wrong with that. he buys all of your stuff if you ever sell it. (prolly got a shrine.)

•if you ever write a song based on him,, he would actually cry out of happiness, at least be on the verge of it. you just give the song to him and he’s just like, “it’s so perfect,,,, tysm,,” while he’s on the verge of letting it out. he’ll listen to it every day. :) <3

•every time you put on a performance,, he just sits there with the dopiest smile on with lovestruck written all over him. bro is VERY in love, he could listen to you alll day. if he had a tail it would be wagging. he will never take his eyes off either, all of his attention is on you, just you.

•even if you got a recording studio, he admires how much you get into the music. its so amusing seeing you be so calm during the whole process of making a song, but when you perform your songs. like thats my baby fr!!! wally is ur number one hype man,, i mean this all the way.

•if ur in a nice suit, dress; whatever while ur singing, agh.. this man is knocked out. ur soo gorgeous,, and you sing?! like, sorry, wally is just in love.

•after one of your performances, once he sees you walking to him, all giddy and stuff. wally ain’t letting you go once you run into his arms, he will keep his arms around you as you just ask if he liked it, thought it was great,, while he’s just nodding and mumbling praises to you. (it’s honestly so sweet to watch you two.) if ur wearing heels or boots, you’re probably towering over him as this happens,, (i honestly find this so sweet, ur jus towering over him, asking him excitedly if he loved it, while he’s just practically sings praises to you. so sweet,,)

•to pick up the instrument part, he will totally help you with demos and drafts by playing the music for you. he’s pretty average on most instruments and would totally drop whatever he had and help you out! (will def help you out with drums, i think its canon that its his main thing,,)

•sing him to sleep, please,, he will eat that up. if you do, he’ll sleep so fast. as said before by me, i don’t think he sleeps much. but with ur singing? knocked out, my brother is dead asleep. what can he say? you’re just a good singer.

•honestly to him, ur like a siren. you’re just too good to be true and sing beautifully. corny he knows but,,, its true <3 (to him.)

•even house loves your singing! if wally needed the help he would call you and try to make house stop with ur singing,,

•the first time he’s ever heard you sing, his mind was blown. how did you sing that good? like all of his other friends could sing,, but you were just different. you sounded different, did things differently.. ack. he fell in love with your voice. as he listened to one of ur song’s for the first time, and ur just anxious. wondering if he’ll like it, or not.. he turns to you. blank stare, and says, “this is the best music i’ve ever heard,, ur so talented..” with just pure adoration and fondness in his eyes.

OK SO i will EVENTUALLY get there in my fic, since its ... u know ABOUT that but obviously im not gonna make people wait, and since whenever i draw them its all cutesy so obviously its like, post getting in that relationship

But with the two of them it was very much an enemies to 'friends' to fuckers to lovers? Like so the two like, became close friends and like, if im being honest, fuck buddies? Like they found themselves sleeping together a lot, like, friends with benefits style, but as this keeps happening and theyre getting closer and closer, they both realize that theyre falling for eachother, anise quicker than myc. But then myc has like, an epiphany and realizes that anise understands him more than anyone ever has, and vice versa, so they, in secret, decide to be like, exclusive, and literally no one (but andre) knows for MONTHS until someone like gigi overhears a conversation between the two and finds out.

So, its not awkward, its... theyre the same as they always were (post being more friendly and not outright antagonistic) but in private they whisper sweet i love yous...

THATS HOW i see it in my head, BUT as i work on my fic it MIGHT morph and change, but thats ... yeah ... hehe i love my babies

that’s fine! considering your mom wants one for her DS, i’m going to list the DS games available for Harvest Moon and offer my two cents on them since the DS games are the ones i have the most experience with lol so you’re in luck

to add another note, keep in mind that Harvest Moon has rebranded as Story of Seasons, so SoS is the same HM we all know and love; Natsume took the Harvest Moon title and released a bunch of horrible games to catch peoples’ interest with the familiar title, so the title shifts in this list. i only used the name Harvest Moon when discussing the games out of familiarity/force of habit; later on down this list, the title changes. i’m also adding the 3DS games.

i’ll link you to the games as well so you can go over them yourself/she can check them out herself to see what she’d prefer. i wrote a lot but not nearly enough to cover the controls/functions/story line/overall goal/townspeople in each game.

1) Harvest Moon DS/Harvest Moon DS Cute. considering one of your mom’s favorite HM games are AnWL, i think she’ll like this the best; the game is set in Forget-Me-Not-Valley with a huge amount of characters from AnWL! in DS, you can only play as Jack/Pete. in DS Cute, you can choose to play as either Claire or Pony/Jill. DS/DS Cute is probably one of my favorite title games because it’s so similar to AWL/AnWL, so i think she’d really enjoy this one. i don’t have much to say on the story/goal of the game since it’s basically AWL/AnWL for a DS. out of all the games i go over here, i think she’ll like this one the best.

2) Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness/Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands. these two are very similar to Tree of Tranquility/Animal Parade because they’re essentially the same game with major differences. in IoH, the player character is washed up on a new island during a horrible shipwreck after a violent storm/lightning strike and sea and never makes whatever their original destination was; those who survived the crash make a new life on the island they washed up on (it sounds bleak but i promise it’s not).

however, in SI, the MC sails to SI for a new life and all of the villagers have an established life there. the two games have different goals and slightly tweaked characters, but are functionally relatively the same, with SI adding in more marriage candidates. this series is also one of my favorites, but one thing to add is that the art is very chibi-fied. not sure if your mom will mind it, but it kind of bugged me at times. i personally prefer SI.

3) Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar. this was one of my first HM games, and it’s very cute and charming; the art, however, is more cutesy than the previous titles, so at times it kind of feels like everyone is a baby lol. the game is a little different from usual - there’s no shipping bin, because the goal is to sell everything you produce at a bazaar that’s held once a week (or at a shop in town if you don’t want to wait that long). you don’t mine in this game either, since you buy ore in shops or find them in rocks during winter. overall, it’s a cute game, but maybe not the most memorable? i remember enjoying it a lot, but i can’t remember that much about it. >_> it’s one of the more cutesy games as opposed to the little bits of realism/somberness in AWL/AnWL

i’m skipping Puzzle de Harvest Moon/Harvest Moon: Frantic Farming because neither of them are farming simulators, they’re puzzle/matching games

4) Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns. one of my favorite games! you play as a farmer starting in one of two towns situated on either side of a mountain, with a blocked tunnel connecting them. your goal is to bring the two towns together again through cooking festivals, which will unblock the tunnel; until then, you travel between the towns by climbing the mountain, which is great for foraging but eats up some time in your day. one town is focused on farming crops, the other is focused on farming livestock; you can do both in either town, but your farm will be devoted more to main export of either town. for example, in Konohana has a lot of fields for crops and a small barn. it’s the opposite in Bluebell.

your residency in one town isn’t permanent, though; i think at the end of every season you can choose if you want to move to the other town and you can keep doing that indefinitely. another addition to the game is dating, where you go on dates with marriage candidates rather than just leveling hearts and proposing! it brings a tiny bit more realism into the romance lol. this game is available for 3DS as well.

5) the Rune Factory games. i haven’t played a lot of RF (only 4 lol ._.) but they’re all titled as fantasy Harvest Moons, meaning you have a farm and farming is a major focus, but there’s also magic and elves and fighting monsters in dungeons to get good loot! RF title games for the DS are Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon, Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon, and Rune Factory 3: A Fantasy Harvest Moon. Rune Factory 4 is a 3DS title and the only one i’ve played but i liked it a lot and intend to play the other titles!

i don’t have too much to say on the series since i haven’t played a lot, but i really enjoyed RF4! the games are much more story driven than Harvest Moon, which i found really fun since it felt like i had more of a goal than just “farm for the town”. i will add though that i loved all of the bachelorettes(minus Amber)/bachelors up until gearing toward proposing, because a lot of their Marriage Events suddenly had like...weird stuff? i won’t spoil anything but suddenly things like possessiveness/jealousy/weird unhealthy relationship stuff came up and i was like WHOA WHAT WHERE IS THIS COMING FROM O_O because it was all SO drastically different from everything else up to that point. i didn’t romance any of the bachelors but it was there for the bachelorettes so idk if it’s the same.

there are more HM games, but these next ones are for 3DS. i’m not sure if your mom has a 3DS (i know u said DS but i call my 3DS a DS all the time so idk if it’s the same thing for you or not >_>), so i’m adding these next titles because i’m on a roll, but keep that in mind! i will also add that, with your mom’s preference in her favorite games, she’d probably enjoy the games i listed above waaaaaay more than these next ones, since that’s how i feel too.

1) Harvest Moon 3D: A New Beginning. this is the title where things feel... very different. i didn’t really enjoy it that much, if i’m being honest, because it brought in a weird focus away from farming where you reorganize the town and build new buildings and stuff. it felt a lot like the sims, minus making characters. this is the first title where you can customize the player character though! which i love! since your mom’s favorite games are AnWL and Animal Parade and MY favorite games are AnWL and Animal Parade and i didn’t enjoy this game much, she probably won’t either. the tutorial stage is also really, REALLY, horrifically long -- it stretches over a week in-game time of just basically doing nothing. most of the characters are REAL charming though imo, and they lose the cutesy chibi art which i was really happy about. the art and characters made me stick through the gameplay since i enjoyed them. they also brought in older characters and renewed their designs; i loooooved Witch Princess and Amir in this game so much i was so stoked to unlock them. but overall yeah one of my least favorite titles in the series since it brought so much focus away from farming to me and while characters/romance are nice, a huge draw TO the HM games is the farming

2) Story of Seasons. first game to be hit with the rebrand from Harvest Moon! any game after this was released (FEB 27 2014 in Japan) with the title of Harvest Moon is NOT Harvest Moon anymore! it’s Natsume up to their dirty tricks of using a great brand and stealing the name to release bad games.

anyway, SoS was... pleasant! i enjoyed it. it didn’t stick with me like the older games, though. but i loooved the art and the town, and the villagers were charming. you compete with other farmers in town for certain fields located in different places, all of which are best suited for certain kinds of crops. i liked the rival aspect, but it is very different from older HM titles. you can also select the difficulty to play in either Veteran mode or Seedling mode; i recommend Seedling mode, both because prices aren’t as high and because HM (to me) is a game to relax and have fun farming, and Veteran mode is just stressful.

3) Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns. i love this one. (well, for the most part). this is the first game that introduces your family! you start off as a young adult still living at home with your mother, father, and younger sister, and decide to move out and become a farmer. your father is furious at this idea but you are eventually set to live in the same town as your Uncle Frank, who is a farmer, to measure your farming ability. if by the end of three years, you haven’t proven to your father than you have what it takes to be a farmer, you’re leaving the town forever. the bleakness reminded me a lot of AnWL, for some reason; i loved the aspect of your father being strict and hard on you since it felt a little bit more somber than the super cute, super peppy titles in the series of recent years.

that’s where the bleakness ends, tho. i will say that, despite loving this game and the characters, i really, REALLY hate the three-town system. you start off on your farm to three crossroads that lead to three different towns that all unlock by summer in your first year. and yes, it’s fun! the different towns yield different crops and resources. but it doesn’t feel at all like Harvest Moon to me. it feels way bigger and with way more things to do. it also makes days a LOT longer, since you run from all of the towns to complete errands in part-time jobs. it needs more of your focus than other games. i haven’t finished the game yet, and while i love it, i love it separately from other HM titles. it doesn’t hook me in the way the older titles did, which i think is because of the modernity of it with three different towns and being bigger and and having such consistently bright colors as opposed to one small town and muted color scheme of, for example, AWL. it feels, like ANB, very different from the vibe Harvest Moon usually gives you. idk how to describe it. i feel like this game exists in a separate niche.

i like how your family feels more real in it, though; they periodically send you letters and visit you. it really feels like you had a life before coming to the town(s), rather than starting off as a blank slate at the beginning of the game.

imean i feeeeel like all my self insert ship based scenarios are wildly specific depending on the character? but i wonder if theres some overlaps?

obviously a lil basing it off appearance i guess? theres three i like that all are suit wearing glove wearing pretty boys but their personalities are like so wildly different? then theres moz i guess his musik is a suit????? idk

i guess in general i usually see it not being a really hateful/spiteful relationship. constantly roasting someone would be so tiring and make me so anxious i dont think id enjoy it very much. thats not to say theres no tsun tsun and slow burn bc that i can definitely see, esp on my part lol. and also on the opposite end its not mushy gooshy lovey dovey all the time. its not i think ever that sorta “everyone loves me im so perfect” sorta thing, where either of us think of everything revolving around us and continuously boosting our own egoes. i mean tbh moz is an egotist but hes also super sweet and caring towards others which ppl tend to forget bc he acts self centered and childish? but its moz what do u expect lol. anyways what i mean to say is its not gonna be all cutesy and self obsessed, even moz whos definitely the most egotistical of the bunch isnt the type thatd wait on my every move trying to please me, hed do what he likes and try to make me happy w it without compromising himself. and the others too. none of us are and should be “serving” the others, its not a sort of instantly falling in love and devoting ourself to that person sorta thing. i mean tbh hans might try that and im like “sweaty no ur important too”

nooooow that thats out of the way the more positive things? i think all of us in different aspects and to different degrees have stuff were struggling w emotionally, some the same as me and some different, and it makes me happy to think of myself helping them. after all they help me w my struggles and id like to return the favor. so like i guess i like em a lil angsty? but like at the same time i dont think its a necessity. like moz for instance, tons of the fanbase turned on him in s2 when he was more cheery and happy go lucky, but idk it never felt like he changed that much? or at least not unexpectedly? hes mozart hes gonna make fart jokes whaddya expect. like angst and problems is definitely something that draws me to these guys but i dont want them to be consumed by them. i want them to get better from them and live their lives happily.

i guess physically theres not much besides the aformentioned suits and gloves thing lol. and moz is proof its not a requirement for me to thirst after u. you can dress like a fashion disaster gremlin and ill still want ur cutie bootie. i mightve said i dont like to have my faves doting on me mindlessly but i like to think theyd all at least be a lil supportive about my hair. like its silly but ive gotten attacked and shamed by so many different ppl bc of it that im not rlly insecure? but i do definitely kinda crave being said nice things to about it i guess?

idk on a tangent bc i feel like indulging moz for sure knocks off any doubts and loves playing w it. he does that silly thing where he sticks my hair on his mouth like a mustache and were both cracking up. sacchan is more elegant about it, but he looks serious and is like “who do i need to kill” and im like “sacchan no!” we definitely wear matching half ponytails tho its cute af. and sometimes we mess w each others’ bangs. like when theres a leaf in our hair and stuff. schuu is super sweet and is shook af that anyone would be that mean. like boi ppl are way worse to u all the time ur too nice. but yea hed probably be too self conscious to do too much w my hair but maybe if i play w his hair enough he gets a bit more confident. idk if its cold ill put it around him like a scarf lol. hans at first is like “um... its nice” in regards when i ask him what he thinks of it? but eventually if i reveal my past w it and stuff he feels genuinely kinda bad, and this time his compliments dont seem as forced to him.

also for the sake of it past trauma if any of them found out about how i bleed a lot on my back. i feel like most all of them would be shocked at first tbh? but then try and help somehow. hans and schuu would be more sublte and shy about it, schuu just being really gentle whenever he has a hand on my shoulder and offering to carry backpacks n stuff, and hans would always be sure to give super genuine compliments when i wear anything showing my shoulders. the other two would be more forward, both moz and sacchan just like kissing the spots gently and massaging my shoulders. im like blushing like crazy at first but its so relaxing and it feels nice and i probably eventually start crying. at least w sacchan i want to do the same thing to him w his old scars so we can share in this sorta situation.

so yea fancy ish boys (or gremlin disasters) who have some angst but whatever extent or however often doesnt affect or change how much i love em. i think all of them are all in the side of “a genuinely nice person but bc of the writing/fanbase/actual hecked up rumors n shit irl they are disliked/the antagonist/’just a villain u cant like them!!1!!!11!!!’“ which rlly stinks but it doesnt change my feelings. and tbh i think theyre all kind people despite that theyre not perfect saint angles all the time. moz can be insensitive even if he doesnt mean it, and selfish, and not care about others (but at the same time he cares so hecking strongly for others, even strangers and animals hes just met, and he throws himself wholeheartedly into helping them, and hes emphatic as heck, even to ppl he dislikes), sacchan has done some hecked up stuff, especially in the fiction side of history (but his story is literally this fake fictional persona thats like a murder obsessed grim reaper being forced into the consciousness of an innocent person who was actually a kind and generous person and a good friend, and in like the shitty afterlife bc of this hes had to think of that person as dying when he did first, even tho hes been shown to still care deeply about others even as the grim reaper persona, like staying behind in lb1 rather than go w the protag, in order to bring music to an entire world of people that were going to die and be deleted from history and the multiverse itself basically), hans is literally the “villain u cant like him”, tries to decapitate the “protagonist” and according to the perspective of the protagonist and the spinoff works is incapable of love and outright lied to and manipulated her (despite the fact he never directly lied and instead said vague statements that she interpreted as him wanting to smash bc she cared only about smashing him and not his actual personality or life or anything, despite the fact the “protagonist” was responsible for possible murder and definitely sabotage of an entire like prolly at least 1000 people, and left them to die in a complete and unexpected climate change that could have easily led to more death and hindrance if he wasnt there to do something, despite the fact he gives a damn about the people and animals of this goshforsaken city when literally no one else does, especially not the main characters we’re supposed to root for), and schuu is hated for his rap outfit and for being clingy and getting in the way of ships (which can u blame the man for wanting a lil bit of companionship its basically a frankenstinian story of the creator abandoning the creation but the icing on the cake is said creator abandoned him while leaving w two of his peers, and even the others that were created w him all ignore him 90 percent of the time and treat him like shit 99 percent of the time, and whats more is hes got not just that rejection but the memory of being rejected in a past life 200 yrs ago by his teacher he admired in regards to his predecessor he admired, and yet he still manages to be so hecking positive about everything, seeing good in even super mundane things like the sounds of pot stickers frying, he praises people genuinely about even those mundane things, hes super down to befriend like anyone even tho hes super awkward at it, absolutely loves and throws himself into wholeheartedly new music genres and fashion and tries his damndest even if he sucks at it, he even finally gets the courage up to tell his now rival that he admires the painful reasons hes been agonizing on this for so long, and hes super willing to help others even at the expense of himself)

sooooo tldr i like these disliked/antagonistic boys bc i feel like treating em like how theyre treated by the fandom mostly is super unfair.

i feel like theyre all the sorts id love to open up about myself with, in return if theyre comfortable w it id like to hear about them too. theyre the sorts id wanna plan outings to do shit they like, or show them shit i like.

like can u imagine if sacchan was hyped as heck to go to a tour of a sweets factory? or even just the cafe of it? hes so surprised hearing about all these different desserts and we get a big sample platter or something and he just looks so wide eyed and happy trying each of them. maybe marie and/or bunyan and/or ibaraki go along to help w the sweets. and theres a piano there and i ask someone in the staff if sacchan can play it, and maybe he does and its a total hit. everyones listening so happily and enthusiastically. or going w schuu to a big concert festival in the summer? ive only been to bluegrass ones but hed probably love going to a rap or reggae one and id love to go to it w him. i bet itd be crowded and filled w music everywhere, and itd be so much fun exploring it w him. wed probably end up jamming somewhere. schuu is smiling and looks so intently at every performance and its just such a beautiful look i love my bestie. hans and i go to a museum and its super quiet and stuff, im not completely sure if hes enjoying it and am so nervous but then he asks what im listening to and we do the cliche earbud sharing shit. when we get to the swords and armor section both of our faces light up and we both rush forward, breaking out of the earbuds and both get super embarassed by it. scooter from the corner guard post: just kiss already! or like modern au and hans has a fencing match or something i go to it and cheer him on so much! he shows me the moves afterwards. and then he wants to go to one of my concerts or something. its cute af. or like not modern au and i go to his fancy prince meetings n stuff, and if any of his family talk shit i show up and intervene in a subtle way. we go on a day off to explore the town, and theres a concert and im hyped as heck so hans just smiles and says we can go to it. its cute af too i hope hed enjoy it too. and gosh moz where to even begin w fartman bestboy. we go on all the best dates even something as mundane as going and doing errands on a weekend afternoon is a date bc moz has no impulse control and an hr in we’re at a fancy cafe bc moz was chatting w one of the waitresses and somehow got us reservations. even tho hes flirty af hes really cheery and is like “this is my cute gf!” to everyone about me and im just like blushing like crazy. we eventually finish the errands, idk maybe he keeps getting distracted and im like “moz if you can make it through all the errands today on your own ill give you a kiss” and like its not even a first kiss weve kissed before right but hes still so hyped for it, his eyes get all alert and his face gets serious and we finish all the chores quickly, then its early evening and were in a quiet park gazebo or something and he leans in w a flirty look under those long eyelashes like “did i do good? can i have that reward now?” im blushing like crazy but i give him a kiss, hes earned it, hes rlly gentle and sweet, cupping my face w his hands as mine run to his back and its a really sweet kiss? idk ive never really kissed much if at all so i dont rlly know how it works lol
