hj has two meanings, theyre basically the same definition but theyre used in different contexts , when used in general spaces close to other regular tone tags it means half-joking, vs when used specifically in circlejerk reddit subs along w things like /uj (unjerk, used to show youre speaking out of character essentially) or /rj (rejerk, going back into character) then it means half jerk, aka basically the same as half joking just matching the other acronyms for the space
