Season 8, Episode 19 Update

Last Friday, I decided to start watching Grey’s Anatomy after only watching a few minutes of the pilot.

I’m almost done with season 2 and I’ve already cried at a few episodes.

Oh, and so far, McDreamy is a McJackass. I liked him til the season 1 finale.

Season 13, episode 6 Update

I haven’t done one of these in a while because

1. I’m busy with working insane hours at The Golden Arches

2. I don’t have much to say per episode

and

3. I don’t go on Tumblr much anymore anyway

So anyway, what all can I say? (cut because spoilers)

-”I can live without you. But that doesn’t mean I want to.” Oh, make up your mind, Meredith! You tried to stop Derek from chasing his dream, and you refused to move to D.C. with him to get a job. Also, foreshadowing. Lame.

-I didn’t cry during the McDreamy episode. #SorryNotSorry #StillAMcJackass

-I did cry when Amelia was crying though. Derek was really all she had for family (as seen later on), and her tears actually seemed genuine.

-April Kepner is such an idiot. I can understand things from both hers and Jackson’s sides, but Jackson made his choice. April may not like it, but she needs to respect it.

-How stupid can season 12 be??? The doctor who killed Derek is now at Grey Sloan, Catherine is meddling with April and Jackson’s baby, and this whole “everyone sleeping with everyone” is creepy now that everyone is in their late 30′s/early 40′s.

-Amelia is so irrational sometimes, but Meredith should’ve told the truth. She knew who Penny was, and she should’ve told Amelia right away. 

-I call bullshit. Ben saw that elevator open and there’s proof of it on video. He just wanted to be the hero of the story. Instead, he’s the villain who killed two people. I like Ben, I really do, but it seems so unnecessary.

-For God’s sake, why can’t Jo just have been honest with Alex????? 

-The crash c-section in Meredith’s kitchen is so unrealistic. Then again, April just wanting to stick around her house when she was feeling contractions instead of seeking medical attention right away is just as bad. I feel bad that Meredith was probably the one to clean up that mess.

-At first, I thought Alex was mad because he thought Jo and Andrew were together. I can see how, from Alex’s perspective, it looked like Andrew was forcing himself on Jo. I wish he would’ve used his words though. Then again, if Jo was honest with Alex, it would’ve saved a lot of mess.

-Noooo! Callie’s gone. She was one of my favorite characters, and she deserves much better than Penny. It definitely could’ve saved her the heartache of losing custody of Sofia. 

-Catherine Avery is getting on my nerves. I loved her strong character, but now she’s just cocky and entitled. 

-Ohhh noooo. Not Leah! I hate Leah!

-Andrew is officially a fuckboy. “You go after bad guys. You deserve someone better. Someone like me.” *cue Treat You Better by Shawn Mendes* “Ladies and gentlemen, please rise for the playing of the r/niceguys national anthem.” BARF!!! Also, he broke Maggie’s heart because he was embarrassed to be with an attending, so he is not a good guy in the slightest. I doubt being with a resident is much better either.

-Alex belongs in the OR. I hope that charge against him gets dropped or he’s found not guilty.

-I have no comment on Owen Hunt right now. He’s creeped into my good graces. I’m still using my go-to tag for him because he just might end up an asshole again later.

Season 11, Episode 1 update

I took a break from watching Grey’s Anatomy because a lot of it was pissing me off, but now that I’ve finished season 10 and started season 11, it’s a brand new slate.

I’ll talk about a few highlights of what I’ve watched the past two days.

And there’s going to be a few spoilers, so I’ll put them under the cut :)

First, the episode where Cristina pictured her life in two different scenarios. The one where she moved in with Owen, got a dog, started a family with him, and presented the Harper Avery to Shane Ross felt so wrong on so many levels. The one when she and Owen just hooked up with each other, causing Owen to fall depressed because Cristina didn’t want to be anything more, and Shane presenting the Harper Avery to Cristina felt worse. As much as I’ve hated Owen and wished he would leave, he’s finally beginning to grow on me. I don’t hate him as much.

Next, when Cristina receives a nomination for the Harper Avery. Everyone is excited for her, but Cristina brushes it off. When she heads for the ceremony, she insists on going alone. Owen, back to his annoying self, keeps persisting that he goes with her or at least sees her off. When Cristina realized she didn’t want to be there alone and was surprised that Owen and Meredith were both there, that was a very sweet moment. I was actually sad for Cristina when she didn’t win.

Arizona Robbins is again getting on my nerves. The back and forth between wanting a baby, not wanting a baby, wanting to carry the baby, wanting Callie to carry, wanting a surrogate, wanting to name the baby something cute, wanting to name the baby Agamemnon-- it’s frustrating!

Yay! Baby Avery is coming!!! I’m so excited for April and Jackson. 

I felt so sad for Callie when she found out she can’t carry anymore children because of the adhesions in her uterus. This also irritated me because it reminded me of that awful musical episode. 

Ew, Preston Burke! Why is that asshole brought back? Isaiah was fired from the show because of how he treated T.R. Just because T.R. left doesn’t mean it’s suddenly ok to bring Isaiah back. Why couldn’t it have been Erica Hahn instead? Or Teddy Altman?

The series finale legitimately made me cry. This was the episode that, I’ll admit it, I like Owen! Watching him call out the news reporter on air was hilarious (and, also, relevant to today’s society. You go, Owen!). Cristina leaving made me sad, but watching her success in Zurich made me happy. The part that made me cry was Derek trying to push Meredith to move to DC. He’s a McJackass again.

Now I’ve started season 11. It’s weird that Cristina is gone, and weirder that Alex is ok with becoming Meredith’s person. That doesn’t seem very Alex-like, but I’m glad Meredith at least has somebody. I’m not sure how to feel about Maggie right now. I want to like her, but she seems like such a bitch right now. I will say that I have a better first impression of her than I did of Lexie (remember how much I hated her?).

Well, that’s enough now. Yes, I’m fully aware who dies in season 11.

I just finished season 6 of Grey’s Anatomy. Hooooly crap! Losing bae, one of my favorite female leads leaving, and... (spoiler under the cut)

The gunman! Gary Clark is insane. It is unfortunate that his wife stroked out and they couldn’t do anything about it. It’s fine to be upset/angry and want to sue. What’s not ok is shooting innocent people.

On the plus side, I’m glad Reed Adamson and Charles Percy are dead. I didn’t like them.
