I understand that vocalsynth software is pretty hard to grasp for outsiders so I hope AI covers die a very death sometimes soon because I'm getting sick of takes conflating the two.
#vocalsynth voicebanks are recorded with the voice source's permission!!!#and the issue with ai covers isn't the 'roboticness' but with the fact that it was made without the voice provider's consent!!!#vocalsynth will never replace human singers but that was never the intention in the first place!!!#it's giving more tools for artists to play with!!!#it's like berating artists for using drum samples instead of real drums. a synth with a piano sound instead of real piano#some intentionally use the 'fake' one because that's the sound relevant to the music they want to make#otherwise people like harumaki gohan or 40mP or pinocchiop wouldn't bother using miku since they can sing#gonna go before i start tearing people apart with my psionic powers#also please do some reading on the topics you're about to have 'hot takes' on because oftentimes it's not hot#just some uninformed spiel people have heard and debunked dozens of times already. colder than hell frozen over#vocaposting
