The Way I Fucked Over Exandria
So I'm DMing a campaign in Exandria roughly a century after the end of campaign 2, and Desirat is ruling the entirety of Wildemount in an anthropomorphic form (I got a real nice drawing of her on Reddit - I'll put it at the bottom), except Desirat isn't a Fiend, she's an Elemental who was enslaved by Asmodeus, not a loyal steed, so she's True Neutral.
Vecna is puppeteering Tal'Dorei through his Avatar, Aszqiimn (pronounced Aaz-kee-mahn), and Lady Allaura, while experimenting with positive energy, essentially became a lich (my logic: Undead are animated by negative energy, so like in Eberron, shouldn't positive also be able to do something, so she is essentially just not capable of dying, and is a lich with a different spell list), and is ruling Marquet.
Here's the fun bit: Each of my players is being torn between two gods who want them as their Avatar, because they want a headstart on the Calamity-repeat that's gonna go down soon, one of the Prime Deities and one of the Betrayer Gods each.
Dr Oswald Hoot, an Owlin with a degree in Meteorology, is being torn between Zehir and Ioun. Gripp, a Firbolg pacifist Druid who used to be a Barbarian until he killed his family so Queen Titania gave him bracers that help him control his anger (will revert to Barbarianism if they come off), is torn between Bane and Melora. Corun Wentir, from Whitestone, who brought to the information about Vecna's puppeteering to the De Rolos which sparked the Whitestone Revolt, which was put down violently , resulting in Vexahlia de Rolo's public execution, is torn between Vecna and the Raven Queen, who's servant is VAX'ILDAN, WHO BLAMES CORUN FOR HIS SISTER'S DEATH!!!!
Other supernatural relations:
Queen Titania is owed a life debt by Corun (as in Corun owes her a life he holds dear), Queen Titania is pissed that Gripp 'left' her for Melora.
Nameless, a demi-god formed of Ioun's blood spilled in the first Calamity, is helping them to stop the restoration of a Blood God by the Bloodwakers (a more powerful and somewhat batshit sect of the Claret Order) using the mountain ranges as the components of a God Glyph, by finding people to help construct another mountain to ruin the shape.
Amuniri Asatamor, God of Blood and the Astral Sea, Piercer of the Divine Gate, Sanguine Watcher and Servant to the Blooded Good of All, a nice guy who does not know that a sect of fuckfaces are trying to corrupt him to their evil Blood-god purposes (to be fair, they don't know it's him either), is the one who sent them adventuring, because he saw potential and since he knew that there was going to be what I've dubbed the Second Calamity, he wanted a bunch of extra people to help (cause who knows *insert shrug*), not realizing that it might end up helping the Betrayers.
So that's my bullshit fuckery of Exandria in a nutshell.
#exandria#dnd#critical role#fuckery#this is either like a really bad fanfic or a commentary on the end of all things#who knows
