#i was joking to my friend the other day abt how if utena had come out in 2023 and not 1997 people would lose their mind about#it not being soft pastel uwu sapphics and instead features#very very triggering themes!! it approaches abuse and incest and misogyny/patriarchy and that's not all of it#but I guess I'm spoiled by the fact that I interact with mostly older people for whom utena is not baby's first gay media#my dudes my buddies my guys if u research the history of lesbian media or watch other stuff as well......it wont be that bad#plus u live in a world where there's so much rep!!!! so many LGBT content now#if u don't like utena or can't handle it#it is okay....#to walk away#and read or watch something else
