Vermouth in episode 345 was really absolutely freaking out by the fact that her two treasures were present without her knowledge. Vermouth, after finding out that it was Shinichi and not Sherry, "shit, shit, shit, he's supposed to be on that Halloween ship party. What is he doing here???? Now I need to make sure he doesn't get shot by Calvados. How do I solve this, damn it." And when Ran showed up from Jodie's car, "HER TOO????" and she just started to shit herself again because Calvados is actually shooting at her. When you want to try to protect your two only favorite people from organisation shit, but they have "gotta help people" disease, which is literally how you started to like them to begin with. unrelated i think sometimes people misread shinichi on one specific thing and its that while he's really really good at puzzles and motives and connections, and sherlock has been his special interest for like fifteen years and homicides follow him like a magnet, he doesn't really understand murder? he doesn't understand what actually makes someone decide to kill anything, so he swung backwards the other way and won't let anyone die if he can help it, ever. even if they want to. and also he would never kill anyone himself he has this whole thing about it. end ted talk
