sooooooooo, now that the stream spilled the deets, let's talk 4.0 banners shall we?

1st half: Lyney, Yelan; Lynette

2nd half: Childe, Zhongli; Freminet

pulling plans below cuz this is gonna be a long one

so, on my main account. i don't know if i want to pull zhongli this rerun tbh. i already have layla and she's serving me pretty well already. maybe after i get the other 5 stars i really want. yelan though......

see. on my main account, i already have xingqiu. and i probably won't need a team where i'll be using both of them anytime soon. originally i wanted her because i thought i would need xingqiu in both teams in the abyss. but 1) i still can't be bothered to do the abyss, and probably won't be for a good long while, and 2) i'm not even gonna need him for my chongyun team in the abyss since i'd be going the melt route. my cyno team would benefit from having her instead of xingqiu, sure. i just broke my back pulling for kokomi though, and i don't fancy doing that again in literally the next round of banners. therefore, yelan will have to wait until her next rerun.

so, new characters. i am kinda curious about lyney. but i know nothing about him except that he's a pyro bow user. so i'm gonna do it like this: if i want cons of the other 4 stars on the banner, i'll casually pull (i.e. not being on a mad dash to grind primos like i'd been for the past week or so). if i don't, my primo wallet can finally take a breather.

for the second half, despite me giving freminet the massive side-eye back when he was leaked, i'm a sucker for cryo in general so i might be tempted to get a copy of him. if i do then i'll pull on the zhongli side. if i get a zhongli along the way, that's cool too. but honestly i'd rather i lose the 50/50 (and get tighnari, fingers crossed), which would make me a little more ready if venti or anyone else of personal interest gets a rerun soon after

okay, time to talk about the alt.

this is a bit of a tough one tbh. since yelan is getting a rerun before xingqiu comes back to the starglitter shop, i am incentivized to pull for her since i don't have xingqiu there yet and it doesn't feel good in the slightest. but i still haven't gotten kokomi there yet, and she would also be a godsend to have. so i need to figure out whether or not i should keep pulling for kokomi or wait until yelan's banner.

and i'm probably gonna skip zhongli's banner there honestly. even though i still haven't gotten her shield strength up to snuff, the bottleland event did give me a free layla. and even though he would be a massive upgrade in the shield department, i'm gonna be exhausted as all hell after grinding primos for kokomi/yelan.

actually... how about this. a few days before the current banner ends, hoyo releases a notice for the next half's banners. so what i'm gonna do is this: i'm gonna hold off on pulling in the alt until then. if xingqiu turns out to be one of the 4 stars featured with yelan and lyney, then i'm gonna keep waiting until 4.0 to pull. (still gonna keep my starglitter tho in case i get super unlucky and don't get either of them). if he's not one of the featured 4 stars, i'm dumping all my primos into kokomi's banner. and then it's all up to luck — if i win the 50/50 i get kokomi, and if i lose the 50/50 i get yelan. or at least a higher chance of getting yelan depending on how many primos i can grind. i'll still pull even if i get kokomi though. at least until i get a rosaria or the banner ends. i won't pull on yelan's banner until the 2nd half banner notices drop. then, if there's still no sign of xingqiu and there aren't any 4 stars i want in the next banner besides freminet, i'll dump all my remaining primos into yelan's banner. if i get her, yay. i just really need to grind up starglitter to get xingqiu cuz i want to get him either way. if i still don't have enough starglitter by the time yelan's banner ends, i'll wait for the 4.1 stream and 1st half banner notices before deciding whether or not to pull on the zhongli banner. if there's a 5 star i really need or a 4 star i really want cons on, then i'll continue pulling for starglitter on the 4.1 banners. if none of the 4.1 banners sound useful then i'm pulling on the zhongli banner. getting freminet or zhongli along the way would be a happy bonus.

sigh i do hope i don't have to get yelan though... i'm not confident that my alt can farm the ruin serpent without everyone being on life support after every single fight. farming the aeonblight drake for layla was painful enough.

So how's it going with your new husband? I'll take it that you forgave him? LOL I wonder why, but she must have been a bit happy at least, now that he is a Dps too. Mhy listened to the people, even though it wasn't that reasonable, at least the players are satisfied! Also, are you happy? Fischl is coming back! And since you have Klee, and by some unknown force you pull Albedo, his E skill is fit just for her! But that is just a what if. I heard she is very good, so I'm hoping that having her in your team will be good!

Well, I think you hit it, but me thinking that doesn't change anything. The only way you would know for sure is counting every wish from the start, it's probably a lot of work, and it's not that relevant.

You're so right about that!!! I think that if they are that weak, Mhy should at least label them as such. Haa... But this game is a money hole, so ofc they WILL make people suffer throughout their gameplay with the free units. I wish they'd give them a buff too, but there's no need for the majority of players, so Mhy doesn't give a damn...

Oh? I didn't think of it as such an issue, for the reason above. I guess I knew that they'd have no mercy for f2ps. I mean, we can play it totally free and push through even with characters that aren't great, so they have to make we want to spend money in it, marketing is very strong in free to play games. T-T For this reason they give the whales what they want, like Dps Zhongli.

Oh, no no, right here is fine! The inconvenience is that sometimes I click in a tumblr notification while writing the ask and I have to write it all again, but I learned my lesson! I screenshot it, and pay attention!

I'm still saving up the xp cards for my Fischl, she will be the first to level up to level 90 when I cross the 50 account level. So no, Zhongli will still be waiting in the bench. I need to save up 171 (I think) to pass a character from level 80 to 90. It's so expensive that I don't even know xD

I was upping Bennet (so I can use him instead of using Barbara in Dragonspine) and now I stopped to up Klee a little. I got her to be in level 50 but I still have a long way to move with her.

My sister don't like Zhongli because of the game's story. I'm not going to give you any spoiler, but she hates how he acts. Which is understandable, because she loves Venti and Venti loves trash-talk Zhongli as well 😂😂😂 she will probably use him, but more as a support because his shield is the best.

It's not like now Zhongli is a dps, it just means he can be a better dps than he used to for some ppl. He's still a perfect support that now can be used as a dps-tank (I little bit how some ppl use Noelle). I will run him as a dps because I got a five star spear from the standard banner that is meant for a dps.

G-G I have no primal gems, not even for 10 pulls and I will probably not get it because I choosed buying the battle pass this month instead of the card thing that gives a plus in primals. I will have to wait and see how much they are going to give us with Dragonspine before anything else.

Until I somehow get the money, Albedo and Ganyu are outside of my reach :') definitely. I wouldn't be able to get the more two constellations, I have no constellations for Sucrose or Bennett :') the chances of me getting exactly what I want are minimals.

Yeah, that's the only reason why they buffed Zhongli was because of the ppl that put money in the game keep complaining, despite all the content creators out of there saying that Zhongli was fine.

Childe wasn't changed. Childe is a pay to win character. He works without constellations, because he was meant to he a dps, but with 6 constellations his E ability has so little cool down. He was desing for it.

The problem with Zhongli was.... Everybody thought that Zhongli would be a dps, then after the beta test for Zhongli Mihojo nerfs him and ppl got disappointed because nobody wanted a five star for support, they wanted a Childe 1.2 basically.

I personally always knew that Zhongli would be a support and I wanted him anyway, because he's the first character aside from, well, Diluc that I found cool and I felt some sort of connection.

Zhongli, before this whole saga, was my favorite character, I loved every second with him, he made me laugh, he's a very morally grey character and mysterious in his own way, and he's still kinda dork and goofy, so he was 100% my type.

That's why I wanted to pull for him: because I saw him in the story and I loved every second with him, then when we got to play with him, I loved the idea of his movesets and abilities even more. I didn't expected him to be a crazy dps, like Childe. That's why I never complained about it.

Before the buff I had no intention of using Zhongli as a dps, but now I see that maybe he can deal enough damage to be one and still tank enemies pretty well. But we will have to see. He's only in beta test again, the numbers can still change.
