This is something I'm working on for a computer graphics class. My focus was to blend and mesh the images well. As well as grasp a deeper understanding of how to use the layers in photoshop. Theres about 3 to 4 layers here. I know it could be refined a little, but I'm proud of how it came out. I love the girl blending in with the magic from the book. That's what I'm most proud of in this piece.

What do you guys think I could do better?

Hello, my name is Angela White and I'm majoring in Visual Communication and Digital Media Arts (VCDMA) with a concentration in Fashion Design.

In the beginning of my internship, I had a lot of duties that kept me busy and constantly learning. My main responsibilities are making sure the floor clean and presentable to potential customers and clients, helping customers find items that match their needs and interests, and styling advice. Doing this so often has made my communication skills better while also helping me address the customer's needs effectively; which is a skill I've been able to master.

I'm fortunate enough to be able to work with a great team of other interns as well as my supervisor, Danelle Johnson. Her in particular, has been a great source of information and wisdom.

So far, this experience has been invaluable. I'm excited to see what all becomes of this! The things I'm learning can definitely take me far in my future careers, whatever that may be!

BLOG FINAL  - EVENTS 

BSU X LAIKA, VCDMA BOWIE STATE UNIVERSITY

Laika is a film animation studio known for films like Coraline and Kubo and the Two Strings. They gave us a visit, gave us details of what goes in behind there animation creation. They also took time to look at students portfolios. It's my second event I have to went to so far in the school, such an amazing experience, I learned a lot.

MUSIC VIDEO SHOOT

I got a chance out of school to learn the process of film making. It was a whole day of a wedding shoot. The Videographer had two settings one indoor and the other in the hotel. 4 to 6 takes were taken from every scene to chose the perfect one. Overall it was a great experience one I love to experience again.

At the Glance at the Entrepreneurship Innovation Center (EIC) Event, I not only enjoyed the informative sessions but also had the opportunity to explore valuable resources for budding entrepreneurs like myself. I learned about various tools and sources available at the EIC that can significantly contribute to the growth of my business ventures. The event shed light on the abundance of resources within the EIC building, making it clear that it's not just a space but a hub for nurturing entrepreneurial endeavors. Additionally, I discovered exciting opportunities such as internships and scholarships, which further emphasized the center's commitment to supporting students in their career journeys. Overall, the event was not only insightful but also empowering, leaving me inspired and eager to utilize the resources and opportunities available at the EIC to advance my entrepreneurial aspirations.

Senior Shocase-Malik Hicks 2239120

The senior showcase was an event that highlighted some of the seniors VCDMA majors’ peices. I was inspired by the fashion show to created a flyer for the senior fashion show. I retrieved the picture from the original model casting flyer and made that somewhat of the base, however I placed a black background in the back and lowered the opacity just a little to fade it somewhat, then layered and blended other stock images of black models, because this is a HBCU. I used the stroke effect to create an outline around the words to really make it pop a little more.

☆VCDM 219-Portfolio Review☆

I attended the VCDMA kickback this week.

Prior to this event I had been experimenting with music production for two years and was desperately seeking a collaborator/friend in this field. At the kickback I met a VCDMA student who's musical concentration directly coincides with mine and the direction I plan to go for my senior theses.

We've decided to share the files with each other to make editing faster. As we're editing the scenes by the script we have a feeling the film might be too long. If we have to we are planning what we would be able to leave out and still tell the story correctly. We hope to finish it this weekend at least but giving us enough time to edit it the way we want it.

I’m not going to lie, I went to this event for like 5 minutes and dipped. I knew my work on adobe express wasn’t going to compete with other people’s work in Adobe. But I should’ve shown the thumbnails I made on Adobe Express so I can promote my podcast. 

I saw some students' work and was amazed. That’s why I left 😂. I didn’t belong in there with people who actually care about VCDMA / creating work in adobe.
