One of my fav thing about Niji JP tumblr is just the niche and variety of fans that’s on here. I only know one Ibrahim fan and it’s on tumblr. There’s a yashiro fan on here. I seen a Sanbaka fan. A chima fan. A MUGI fan. AN ICHIGO FAN.

And it’s even hard to find more popular liver fans also like there’s so few Valz fan and every mochi fan here has a rarer side pair than that of just rofmao.

And that’s great because it makes the niji fan base feels so Niji outside of Nowa and RofMao. That’s not to say those groups are bad it just feel colorful in a way. Seeing the diversity is so refreshing and I wish I can see it more everywhere else.

Nijisanji Summer ‘23 Concert Series - Short Review

I sometimes take a look at the comment section of DramaTubers, just to see what the peanut gallery has to say, and I’m most amused by the sheer sense of cluelessness of the audience.

Winter of discontent has brought many vultures to snack on NijiEN’s entrails and therefore not many had any idea how Nijisanji actually ran, including not knowing what Koshien was, even though it’s Nijisanji’s most popular and successful event, frequently touted in reports.

But then Koshien is an incredibly Japanese thing (although I love it, of course) and the success of the concerts will also be something these commenters will forget. For people who think Hololive is doing great and Nijisanji doing awful, my biased mind sees a tide turn. The growing pains of a new studio, compared to the crystallization of AR capabilities for Nijisanji marks a tentative end for the long sought out payoff of AR tech gamble made two years ago.

Four concerts of various demographics from idol-adjacent Sara to onna-attracting VALZ and Toya to a musician-experience of Ryushen were all held with good success to my untrained eye. With Koshien coming through next month and the VTA looking good as ever, and potential EN gen on the horizon, Nijisanji might be turning more bright in the summer.

NICKNAMES VALZ WOULD GIVE YOU

*and yes, ik this is not how nicknames/pet names work in Japan but for the sake of this headcanon, let's just turn a blind eye

Nagao Kei

He would always call you by your actual name.

Not because he hates pet names or anything but simply because he loves your name.

If your name is not a Japanese or English name, then he loves it even more because it’s just unique and, and he just purely loves the way it sounds.

Will sometimes call you by pet names like “baby” but it’s only to tease and get a reaction out of you.

Genzuki Tojiro

Genzuki would use common pet names like “baby”, “babe”, “love” and etc.

His most favourite is “love” because he believes calling you that way is much more romantic and intimate.

Wouldn’t drop the pet names even if both of you are arguing because he knows it’ll only end up hurting you more.

Kaida Haru

He adores making your name short and calling you by it.

When talking to someone else about you, he’ll add “my” in front of your name to let people know that you belong to him.

Would also sometimes refer to you as “my love” or “my everything” when talking to his viewers about you.

But when talking to you, he’ll only ever call you by your short name because he’s quite shy to use pet names.
