i think what frustrates me most about y-destiny is the potential of it, like this story about grief and holding onto it could have been so much more, but they had only two eps and five dollars so this is what we got. imagine if it was a full series that explored that aspect, grief and how it changes you, masuk's obsession with bringing tir back could have dived deep into some creepy supernatural territory, tir haunting the narrative literally and figuratively (and if he was brought back, would he be the same? wanna see perth in a villain role tbh), jia desperately trying to love masuk and care for him in every way but failing to reach him

let me see how these characters ruin themselves, especially masuk, by holding on and never letting go

there's so many directions this could go if it was a full series

plot 1: masuk begs and pleads for tir back, makes a deal with *insert supernatural being* here, tir comes back but like he's different, masuk won't admit he's changed and jia can't get thru to him

plot 2: masuk goes back in time to bring tir back, but he succeeds, and tir is forever haunted by failing to save jia's nephew, while masuk doesn't understand why tir becomes more withdrawn bc he is so happy to have tir back, and eventually tir pushes him away and they break up, they're still friends but its estranged, jia steps into the picture and tir encourages them to date bc he feels jia is a better person

plot 3: jia and masuk do get together but not bc tir encourages them to do so, it just happens naturally, but tir turns into a possessive ghost who starts haunting them, enraged that masuk would move on

plot 4: masuk brings tir back with some good ol fashioned frankenstein's monster dealio, but tir is a shell of his former self, he doesn't need to eat or sleep, masuk has to take care of him constantly, they can't be intimate, masuk despairs at the loss of their equal relationship, and masuk falls for jia bc he brings some light to his life, tir is masuk's creation, he feels what masuk feels, so instead of feeling betrayed, he feels masuk's happiness

plot 5: everything works out like the original show but with a caveat, tir is more involved in their weird polycule BC MASUK HAS TWO HANDS, it starts out as a V, with jia and tir being with masuk separately, but tir has a lot of love to give and jia is cute so it soon becomes a triangle, also cute ghost sex shenanigans bc why not
