war what are your thoughts on Silence (alter), everything teased about Rhine Lab in the PV, etc.????? I'm so hyped slflfslfslfskl
insert the 'its been eighty four years' gif but the eighty is blacked out
as you can imagine. i'm very excited. if we go over everything that's running through my mind we'll be here A While, so i'm just focusing on one thing: the presentation of Silence in the 3D PV.
if we look at the Rhine Lab faction in Rhodes overall, we have some incredibly unique histories. Ptilopsis has a chip that allows her to process some of the information in originium! Ifrit has the remnant of a powerful ancient Sarkaz embedded in her! Mayer is a one-woman many-robot walking workshop! Magallan is one of explorers we know has been allowed into Sami! And Saria is versed not only in several fields within Terra's biological sciences, but fighting too.
It certainly says something that no Rhine Lab Operator thus far has been lower than a 5 star.
Among these powerhouses, Silence is the closest to the 'spirit' of 4 stars medics, IMO. Where she is most like us, and we could be doctors/scientists/paramedics like her and the 4 star medics. She is the most 'regular' of researchers amongst the Rhine Operators. She has her drone, yes. but her strength as a researcher and medic does not come from that alone.
So it's immensely, immensely satisfying to see her positioned as equal to the likes of Muelsyse and Ho'olheyak in the PV. I'm excited to see how she's changed, how she's grown, and, fundamentally, how she's stayed the same.

Dnd Circus Campaign session six through nine(?) recap:
wow! it’s been a hot minute since an update on the circus campaign here! my bad!
this may be a long one!!! buckle in!
after trying to charm suggestion thorne into getting a clown nose put on him, tallulah the trophy wife regroups with theren the runaway and sinclair the anarchist. tallulah is followed by the children wearing clown noses who are hiding/surveilling in the forest. the oldest tails her. tallulah looks finds an opossum and puts the infant clown nose on it so the clown nose won’t die. she puts a juicy couture bracelet around the opossum’s neck and takes the opossum with her (the opossum has a stat sheet and is now her pet).
the clown nose kid keeps following tallulah. she says she knows he’s there so he comes out from sneaking and is just with her. theren and sinclair see tallulah coming up to them in starbucks with a opossum wearing a juicy couture necklace and a clown nose and a young teenage kid wearing a clown nose. they’re like “?????”.
the starbucks manager comes over to ask them to leave b/c opossums aren’t allowed in the starbucks. they get in a lil verbal scuffle. they leave.
the teenage kid pokes the opossum and the opossum bites him. he won’t go to the hospital b/c his command has been to watch/follow tallulah (a command he got from thorne through the clown nose he’s wearing). tallulah wants to go fight thorne but theren and sinclair are insistent on taking this kid to the hospital b/c he might have rabies now.
they all begrudgingly take this kid to a minute clinic.
on the way, theren and the teenage kid (now given the name chase b/c this minor npc has been dragged into their group) hit it off. they’re both teenagers and feed into each other’s teenage chaos and that results in chase trying to poke the opossum again. tallulah is flabbergasted and scolds him and tell theren to stop talking to chase b/c he’s being a bad influence. they keep talking. it’s cute.
at the clinic, they don’t know what name to write down as the guardian for the medical sheet so sinclair writes down tallulah’s name. tallulah rolls a good perception check and notices and grabs the sheet and crosses her name out and writes sinclair’s. sinclair notices and crosses that out and rewrites tallulah’s and gives it back to the receptionist before tallulah can snatch it in time.
they all sit in the waiting area.
the opossum tears out the stuffing of a chair and burrows inside of it.
they brainstorm what to name the opossum while waiting.
tallulah knows sinclair’s real first name (sinclair goes by her last name). tallulah suggests naming it tiffany to mess with sinclair (b/c that’s sinclair’s first name that she doesn’t like going by).
sinclair is furious and says no. tallulah says fine i’ll name her holly (a breakfast at tiffany’s reference that sinclair doesn’t get). sinclair says she’s calling her josslyn. so the opossum has two names depending on who is taking care of her.
tallulah has to go back with the teenage kid b/c her name is written down as the guardian. the doctor isn’t great. he’d have to kill the opossum to see if it has rabies. tallulah says no. so he can’t do much for the kid. he says he can give him a series of rabies shots to be safe but they’re expensive. tallulah is rich b/c she’s the mayor’s wife so she says fine put it on my card and they leave.
they decide to go find cedbar the fire giant to try to get him to fight on their side against thorne. cedbar is at the coal factory that is being built. tallulah rolls a nat 20 persuasion on cedbar. she explains that thorne tried to control the mayor--the man you support and have deals with--and that thorne is cedbar’s enemy and also you’ll get to see me throw more fire. cedbar agrees. he puts down the coal he was hauling says “i... will kill the thorne” and full on sprints making a beeline for the circus tent. the gang starts chasing after him. cedbar gets their first and starts yelling inside the main circus tent for thorne to come out so he can kill him. thorne comes out with his group of clown nose wearing circus performers behind him.
initiative begins!
cedbar gets a hit on thorne and gets him to 0hp in one (he is... very strong and i did not anticipate them asking him to help them and them rolling a nat 20 to persuade him!!!).
tallulah catapults up onto the tightrope platform with the help of cedbar. the teenage kid follows her (b/c they’ve helped him he gets to roll a wisdom saving throw each time it’s his turn to see if he can overcome the command he’s been given: he’ll either try to help them or keep chasing tallulah).
the tightrope platform has the same symbol as tallulah’s magic camera and the magic wand looking thing she found. she takes her camera out and takes a picture of the tightrope platform. the platform rumbles, shoots down to the floor, then into the floor, then deep deep down into what looks like an old abandoned coal mining tunnel. she sees a vision of mindel the old ringmaster in a mansion with big dark figures around her and some coal dust on her. mindel tells her she’s been captured but she’s okay and she she’s that tallulah has found both of her artifacts and that that is good. tallulah asks her what seesaw’s fortune means (the tapping the nose three times and the right cheek once). mindel rolls well and tells her it is likely directions. go straight three times then turn right. big black figures come into view and take mindel away. the platform tallulah is on rockets back up into the tent where it previously was.
theren and his rainbow dalmation blink dog flank the left (he sends spotty under the bleachers to get to the other side with full protection (a good strategic move that i was v impressed with, this player plays video games and knows how to be smart in combat so that was v cool). theren has no difficult terrain b/c he’s an acrobat so i let him climb ladders and walk tightropes with his normal movement. he gets up a ladder onto a catwalk over the bleachers. gives tallulah bardic inspiration. theren tries to see if any of the performers recognize him, specifically pogo, the tightrope walker who taught him how to tightrope walk and was his mentor. pogo doesn’t seem to have any recognition of him.
sinclair is responsible for josslyn (aka holly). she send josslyn under the right bleachers b/c her full health is 1hp and she’s not good in combat. sinclair makes a beeline for thorne and hides behind cedbar b/c she’s a halfing and he’s a giant.
thorne calls in the clown nose kids in the forest and the mother clown nose (she’s big and has give tentacles her reach is 40ft but the second story stuff (cat walk, tightrope stuff, trapeze swings) is 50 ft and out of range).
a lot of stuff happens some of it very cool some of it very silly some of it tragic but i’m gonna skip over it b/c this would be so terribly long if i didn’t.
the clown nose mother telepathically messages theren b/c she recognizes him and says “help me” (in the borrowed voices of all the ppl she’s controlling; like clipped together cuts of any/every time a person has said those words).
therens pulls the most CLUTCH and beautiful move. he casts silence on the clown nose. the clown nose can’t hear anything in this area and can’t make any noise. this cuts thorne off from being able to communicate with and therefore command the clown nose mother. so he has no control over anyone now.
pogo looks like he has fallen out of a long fog and sees theren up on the catwalk and casts jump on himself to use his entire turn to launch himself right in front of theren. pogo picks him up in a big hug and asks him why he still chooses to have a silly mullet after all this time, it wasn’t in style ten years ago and it still isn’t now. pogo asks if he’s okay and theren says yes are you and pogo says he is now thanks to theren and thanks him for saving him. the player gets emotional and says he’s actually getting a lil misty eyed. it’s all very touching!!! theren gives pogo bardic inspiration.
thorne is knocked to 0hp again (he gets healed and knocked down a couple times throughout this).
tallulah takes the gem necklace from thorne (the gem that allows him to control the mother clown nose). theren sends spotty to take the necklace from her b/c he has a plan but he doesn’t tell her what it is so tallulah doesn’t trust him and she hellish rebukes spotty the dog to stop spotty from leaving. this creates genuine character tension and player tension (i personally loved it but both the actualy players were frustrated with each other over this).
theren reveals his plan is to destroy the gem in hopes it’ll free the clown nose mother of being controlled.
the clown nose leaves the area of silence and messages sinclair “into the tunnels” and sinclair and cedbar leave to go to try to free the copper dragon (who belongs to mindel the original ringmaster) locked in a train carriage. theren follows after.
tallulah tells pogo she’s going to try to destroy the gem (theyre the only ppl left in the tent near the entrance so she just wants to tell someone). pogo nods (he’s mostly mute; only talks to the other circus performers and even then he doesn’t speak much; he talks the most with theren).
tallulah rolls a decent animal handling check and realizes if she breaks the control gem it’ll likely psychically hurt the clown nose mother or her infants or the people wearing clown noses. it doesn’t seem like it’ll be a harmless solution.
now you’re all caught up!!! they’re somewhat out of initiative and combat and want to help save the clown nose mother and get her back to her world that sinclair relays thinks is in the old train tunnel.

hp update: werewolfication achieved B)
that is not to say that i have become a werewolf, though being both a werewolf and an animagus would be sick. NAY! i have merely befriended one successfully. UuU
the general plot of werewolf event 2 is as this:
SPOILERS BELOW!
a rumor goes around school that a student was attacked by a werewolf in the forbidden forest. both chiara and the mc decide that they must get to the bottom of this, for differing reasons. after some persuasion, chiara agrees to team up with the mc though she insists that they are not friends and she doesnt want any.
together, we track down the victimized student, an npc named pippa macmillian. pippa remembers little of what actually happened, but thinks she could have been scratched by a white werewolf on the last full moon. chiara finds this distressing because she herself turns into a silver-white werewolf and would have been in the forbidden forest transformed at that time. the only misstep in that conclusion is that chiara does not remember this happening, and werewolves usually remember everything that happens in their wolf form, which answers that question, and adds a new layer on borf the werewolf-wolf pups birth. DX
to help clear this question, we go to snape and get him to teach us how to brew a memory potion to give to pippa to get a clearer idea of what happened. during this level, we find out that snape is of course making wolfsbane potions for chiara, just as he would eventually do for lupin when he comes to teach. what is interesting about this though is that snape seems to have a soft spot for chiara, even though her backstory is extremely similar to one of his former bullys, he does not seem to see her as lupin 2 as he will see harry as james 2. instead he sees a kid with a chronic condition that he has been treating for the past 6 years or so and its actually rather sweet. however, i am reminded of a post that used to float around on here that posited that if harry had been a girl and looked like lily, then snape would have treated him completely differently, which i can see. so perhaps snapes soft spot for chiara would disappear if she were a boy. this kind of character analysis is very interesting to me even though it is irrelevant. snape = still morally gray even if he likes 1 kid.
during this scene we also know that wolfsbane potion is super expensive because the ingredients are in a shortage and snape barely has enough to brew for chiara.
in any case, we brew the memory potion and give it to pippa, who tells us now that actually she had been spooked by a hippogriff and scratched herself on a tree running away. deep sighs all around.
mc: “but chiara, why would you be worried that you attacked her if youve been taking wolfsbane potion all this time?”
chiara: “...”
and we get no answer, until ben invites the mc to go on werewolf patrol with him because he really wants to fight fenrir grayback if he ever returns to the school. we just happen to see chiara come out at this time and meet a random adult (lupin) and hand him a potion. it eventually comes out that lupin was trying to forage for wolfsbane potion ingredients in the forbidden forest, as one does, when borf the pup leads him to chiara. they talk and figure out that their backstories are actually extremely similar, they were even both bitten by the same werewolf as small children, fenrir grayback.
that is completely canon, by the way. that there could be multiple people with lupins exact backstory of being targeted as a child. i looked this up last werewolf event. graybacks whole deal before he went completely cannibalistic was that he specifically looks to bite and turn kids so that they could be indoctrinated into his  werewolf army (cult???) at a young age. this was also his motivation for attacking hogwarts last event and its 100% in character for him. there is canonically a whole generation of child werewolf soldiers turned by fenrir grayback and lupin and chiara are some of the few lucky ones that didnt get kidnapped after being bitten. i want that fanfic on my desk STAT.
turns out, chiara has been giving her wolfsbane potions to lupin, telling him that the school has extra. shes been unmedicated the past few months, which is why she was so worried that she had attacked pippa.
shes unmedicated tonight too, the night of the full moon! lupin tells the mc to stay with her, then goes off to be a medicated werewolf somewhere else. pippa transforms and drops a photograph of the sunrise over hogwarts. the animation and camera angles for this are pretty good. we get a good dueling level against werewolf chiara, were when she makes an attack she jumps over to you and scratches you. very nice touch, did enjoy.
in the end, through the power of friendship and and fighting magic chiara runs off into the forest for the rest of the night and doesnt hurt anyone. after the mc sees chiara in her wolf form and doesnt run away, chiara = your friend for life!!!!!! she gives you the sunrise picture, and says lupin gave it to her to remind her of all that she had to live for after each transformation. it now hangs in my dormitory and a momento of this event. u.u
i havent done any minigames with her yet because im trying to be thrifty with my coins until i finish the dueling sidequest. over all i enjoyed this event v much and didnt need to use any gems to complete it.
in other news, i finally finished the abraxan sidequest only to have it immediately replaced with a thestral sidequest. this dang horse costs 15 blue notebooks..... TT_____TT

THA updates/character sheets
omg two posts in a day what is this shit
i just feel like i should give a heads up about THA and whats going on and shit. i wont be posting anything for it on A03 for a hooooot minute. like i said in the last post, i’ve been really dry when it comes to THA content. sorry if that bums you out or whatever, but i really need to take it easy with that book for a bit.
h o w e v e r
my brain just will not let me friggin rest. so, i decided to just do something that’s not really creative but also lets me feel some kind of relief. im gonna make character templates in the style of the BNHA fandom website (with a few exceptions/different thing). I wont make one for every single person, but ill make them for most of class 1-A and some villains.
there may also be a few introduced characters, so ig you'll get to meet them first!
the first one is my fave sparky queen, Emiko Kaminari!
(fair warning. its suuuuper long.)
BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION:
Name: Emiko Kaminari (Meaning: Emiko - blessing/kindness. Kaminari - thunder) Birthday: August 3rd Age: 15 Gender: Female (She/Her) Height: 4’11” or 149 cm Hair color: Blonde  Eye Color: Yellow Zodiac Sign: Leo Quirk: Technokinesis
STATUS:
Status: Alive Occupation: Student Affiliation: UA High School
OVERVIEW
Emiko Kaminari is a Class 1-A student at UA High School.
Appearance:
Emiko has bright yellow hair cut in a short bob (a bit like if you smoothed out Denki’s hair). She has distinct bangs that have two long side pieces and several short pieces across her forehead, Her eyes are yellow and flatter on top and rounder at the bottom with distinctly long and straight lashes. She has a tiny birthmark (just larger than a freckle) under her left eye. She inherited her mother’s ear shape, but she can’t use them like her mom can (they can’t extend/plug into anything).  She is incredibly short despite her relatively tall dad, and hopes to grow one day. She has a relatively small chest and thin waist, giving her a lanky but athletic body. Her legs are just slightly too long for her body, adding to her sinewy appearance.
She isn’t a fan of uniform at all, so she only wears it to classes. She alternates between wearing the pants and skirts. When she wears the pants, she wears them high waisted and tucked in. She also takes off her overcoat often (in both outfits), just carrying around and putting it on when she gets yelled at.
Her prototype hero costume pays homage to her dad and mom, but is mostly her own. She wears a black windbreaker jacket with deceptively deep pockets. This also doubles as a shock resistant sheet. Under this, she wears a black sports bra and tight-ish pants with like a MILLION pockets. She’s a slut for functional fashion! She wears black platform sneakers (think FILAs, but not brand name hfjwfkfbwb). They lace up a bit like hiking boots, but the hooks are removable devices.
Personality:
Emiko is super spunky! She’s cheerful and goofy, but not sugary sweet. She has some edge to her, but she’s a very talkative and open person. She’s absolutely obsessed with edgy memes/vines/ ANYTHING internet. She likes to make jokes often, which can sometimes get her into a bit of trouble. She’s very witty and has a sharp tongue, but that’s often just used for humor. She likes to make friends with as many people as possible, but she has no problem getting downright mean with people who mess with her. Her BIGGEST hate is being looked down on. If you underestimate her… look out. Generally, she’s a very friendly person though.
People often see Emiko for exactly what she is because she’s such an open book. Even quiet and broody people like to hang around and socialize with her. If anything, people see her as far more bubbly, since she doesn't like to bust out the mean Emiko.
ABILITIES:
Overall abilities:
She doesn’t have a designated fighting style, but she loves to dart and jump around. She’s able to move pretty fast and often jumps around her opponents to confuse them. She also has damn near perfect aim, so this can be used for striking different pressure points.
Since her quirk can’t really be deployed well without technology, she uses several support items to help her. With her Buttons, she can send massive shock waves of electricity wherever they land (including people). She can also communicate with people even if she’s the only one with a communications device.  She uses the electricity from her devices to immobilize her targets or generally just fuck them up. She can also manipulate electricity as long as its expelled from a device.
Emiko has SO many support items:
‘Buttons’ - basically tiny robots with no function. It’s basically just a button with an electric current. She can use them as a distraction or something of course. But Emiko can use her quirk to stick them to people or herself and deploy insane amounts of electricity. Combine that with her precise aim and you’ve got a stun gun that can target specific areas of the body AND control the output of electricity.
TeleCom - This device works kind of like an AirPod but it doesn’t need bluetooth. Its attached just under her ear. It allows her to use her quirk to send messages to her allied (or foes!)
FingerGuns - Just like her dad, Emiko is one funny motherfucker. With these gloves, she can expel the electricity from the devices in whichever direction she points her fingers.
Goggles - These high tech goggles and quickly give and receive information about her allies and opponents. She can use them if she doesn’t know anything about her team/enemy and gather info. Like GoogleGlass but WAY better.
Quirk:
Emiko’s quirk Technokinesis pretty much gives her the ability to do nearly anything with an electronic device. She can use it to hack whatever device it is, move things around, explode them, or simply use the interface hands free. She can control many devices at once (probably like up to 30 as of right now). As far as explosion goes, it's mostly just electric sparks with a little heat, but obviously there’s damage from any debris (especially if its come in contact with the sparks). Her quirk has a pretty severe drawback though. Emiko suffers drowsiness and decreased cognitive functions with extended regular use of her quirk (like Denki but like 10x less stupid). She also suffers from random severe seizures, but that doesn’t happen too often.
Super Moves:
ButtonBlast: Emiko throws a hand full of buttons in a random direction and sticks them to whatever they land on. She then sends them into a massive electrical explosion, ranging from 100 volts to 100,000 volts (will get stronger with training/time!). This is pretty much enough to fry the brain of any unlucky person to get tackled by one of these. It also blows out any device in range, leaving only the ones she controls in use.
BrainFry: Emiko throws a single button with pinpoint accuracy, landing it at her target’s weak points or exposed areas, even while they move. She delivers a quick but hearty shock, rendering her opponent immobile and unable to function.
TeleCom Confusion: Emiko uses her power of music and stupid puns and her quirk together. She confuses her opponents with rambling on and on about someone. She can also blast music directly into their ears and confuse them.
TechnoScream: Emiko + Madosha use their powers together. While Emiko has on noise canceling headphones, Screaming Shadow yells directly into her TeleCom. Emiko then sends this pitch directly into the heads of her opponents and lets it take effect.
STATS
Power: 4/5 Speed: 4/5 Technique: 3/5 Intelligence: 3/5 Cooperativeness: 4/5 Edgy Meme Knowledge: 6/6
Equipment:
Buttons: These bad boys are tiny, but they pack a punch! She has two sizes - one about the size of a dime and some smaller than that. They’re basically constantly short circuiting devices. Emiko can deploy these at any time, releasing high voltage bursts of electricity or explode them. They’re made of a high grade copper and aluminum alloy. They’re thick but hollow with a simple incomplete circuit on the inside.
TeleCom: ...literally just google how AirPods work, and take away the bad parts. Its essentially an AirPod, but it's a flat disk with a strong adhesive on one side.
FingerGuns: The same general workings as the Buttons, but they don't detach. They’re nestled in the fingers of her gloves and activated when she makes a finger gun symbol.
Battles/Events:
Lunchroom Attack
STUDENTS vs villains
Canon ‘Fun’ Facts:
She frequently bugs her friends phones and plants memes in their important documents.
She has pretty damn bad ADHD.
She once dropped her meds in front of Aizawa and asked if he wanted to ‘pop a dirty blue pillie.’ She had two days of detention for that one.
Definitely has a crush on someone in her class.
Her best friend is a class 1-B student named Hansuke Amaiko. She’s known him since they were basically babies

Episode 2 - "Fuck I’m on the cursed tribe" ~Moth
Tumblr media Tumblr media
a lil sad to see my girl, Bri, go, but that just makes us one person closer to the goal >:3
Tumblr media
dennis is very sneaky. we all had a tribe call and he said he'd come later but he was actually doing the hunt challenge. like that's totally fair, it's just even afterward he acted as if he was not really focusing on it either. im going to play the game assuming he has something, just in case.
Tumblr media
GAME AND GAME SHOW ARE DIFFERENT DSJKLFHASJDJFH no but this was hella fun pls let's do it again

Tumblr media
Dhsjdjsjskksks. First tribal done. We just finished the taboo challenge ... A good bonding experience with my tribe. However, I have a feeling we lost. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 The fact that I was the guesser. Rip.
Tumblr media
I filmed confessionals but my internet got disconnected hahaha so that's neat. Hopefully there will be youtube videos here soon, but new update Jodi and I are in alliances with Dennis and brayden separately which I think would be hilarious if they were also in am alliance together. And it will be funny it my internet is still out for the challenge tomorrow since I'm the guesser 😆 whoops
Tumblr media
So this is the beginning of round 2 and here are my thoughts. Might purposely not be helpful in the taboo challenge lol but i have to do it in a way that doesn't show im throwing it? tbh i say this now but when i start playing the urge to win comes in ugh but i just wanna vote one of these people out. I also took a stroll through the wiki page for this org and i love that some of these people (esp brayden and amy) have played before and their stats are there like yassss give me ammunition yassss!!!! anywho i dont care if we win or lose tomorrow i think i set myself up nicely within the tribe and i still really dont think any of these people won the hunt challenge on my tribe but again who knowssss. if we lose the logic would probably be go for josh or ginny aka the least active people buttt i dont think so like i don't wanna go the boring route. i need to keep josh close to get to merge with him we have friends on the other tribeeeeeee so i need them to survive and i need him and i to survive till we swap or merge to link up. im also trying to win a hunt challenge but my god y'all have me fucked up!!!!!!!!! i guess we shall see what happens tomorrowwwwww
Tumblr media
It was nice sitting the challenge out, I'm busy tomorrow and the fact that they could complete it is good for me. Also, if we lose, nobody can blame me for the loss. Only drawback is it appears to me some people can be getting close by bonding over funny things in a game. I have to go back and see who may be close, I don't think I'm next on the chopping block, but I'm definitely not in control. To me, I do not need to be number one on this tribe, I just need to survive the next tribal and hopefully make it to the swap at 14 or 15.

Tumblr media
HEY SO KIND OF A LOT OF DEVELOPMENTS TO MY GAME we didn't lose first challenge!! thats great. whatever. no tribal. I've been trying to connect with fellow tribemates but overall we're all pretty quiet. I did have a small 30 minute call with Jay where we kinda connected on somewhat of a game level. I kinda get the vibe that he may not fully trust me or he might see my as a threat, but I want to work with him. I also really like Anastasia and Elle, I think I can connect with them more on a more genuine level. Perfect scenario for me would be setting up a trio alliance of Me + Elle + Anastasia, and then having Jay on the side as my actual #1. idk if I can pull that off, but that was my plan heading into round 2 BUT. AS ROUND 2 STARTED, MY GAY ASS WON THE HUNT CHALLENGE. AMAZING. idk HOW I managed it because like?? I finished and found the hidden link within like 20 minutes? Statistically very unlikely BUT I'm so glad I did it. I WON A SAFETY WITHOUT POWER. It's kinda like a hidden immunity idol, except slightly worse because I can't actually partake in tribal at all. we went ahead and competed in the Taboo challenge last night and boy it was kinda rough. We lost a LOTTA points because we kept accidentally saying forbidden words (I lost us 2 points, woops). But we ended up with a semi decent score. Elle did an amazing job guessing. I really hope we can pull this out. SO YEAH SORRY THATS KIND OF A LOT. OVERALL I FEEL LIKE IM IN A DECENT POSITION, WAY BETTER NOW THAT I HAVE A SWP. I wanna further my position in the game with some allies now. That's my next biggest goal. toodles!!!
Tumblr media
So I've figured out that Amy is a comp beast based on us discussing our old seasons and how she did in those: she always talks down her abilities because she's worried she's being painted as a big challenge threat, but I don't think she realizes that doesn't matter to me at all. Ultimately, I think she needed to be at tonight's challenge more than me, so I decided it's ok to sit out since I'm sitting out only because somebody has to, not because I don't want to play. In tribal challenges, it means she'll help keep us winning tribal immunity, and further down the line, if anything, I'll be using her as my "Ken" and if she wins everything, it'll keep immunity away from people I want out.
Tumblr media
I think I did much better in Taboo than I did in endurance, so I'm happy about that. Hopefully my performance this round can help me redeem myself with my tribemates.
Tumblr media
Today in the fools tribe: no one is talking
Tumblr media
Holy crap we won yet again this is such a great feeling just like last season :)
Tumblr media
Fuck I’m on the cursed tribe this round This time I think I’m on the majority alliance, which is a great place to be. So hopefully everything goes as planned tomorrow
Tumblr media
https://youtu.be/fszNKUHjB_8
Tumblr media
So! We did the Taboo challenge and got second place, probs wouldve got first if we didnt get deductions but also we did so good so whatever 😂. I definitely kinda pushed for us to do the challenge last night bc it's Dylan's birthday and I didn't want to have to like, be anywhere specifically today 😅. But yeah we did super good and now I'm gonna go talk to ppl bc I've been gone all day lol
Tumblr media
Bye I hate it here.
~
SO. Here’s the rundown: We lost. Again. Pushing for Shaad to go. Moth, Jared, and Danny all agree with him going. So far I’m getting good vibes with everyone. Danny says he gets along with Jared well and doesn’t talk to Moth that much. Plus, Jared, Moth and I have that little alliance. Jared and I also get along well. Worried for Moth as she doesn’t seem to message a lot. This tribal... I’m feeling safe. I might even make an alliance with Jared, Danny and I. Worst case scenario for next challenge we lose and Moth goes.
Tumblr media
Yay we won again! Anyways, Dennis messaged me tonight talking about how everybody else knows each other from playing Stings games before. He said he checked the series wiki and got freaked out and told me that we're two newbies amongst vets. While he's telling the truth, I'm actually not too panicked because 1) I actually checked out the wiki before he told me about it and 2) I have pretty decent relationship with Amy to incentivize her to keep me around. I worked tightly with Amy for the specific reason that I knew she'll have others to work with, and for her to keep me as a loyal number. I also know that she was runner up of another series and she already recognizes the target on her, so I doubt she wants to risk me putting a bigger one. WOW FOR ONCE I'M NOT THE FLAMING TARGET I LIKE THIS

So, tbh I've done some research about some previous seasons and I noticed Moth and Jessica have played together before. Moth still has not talked to me but Jessica has been overly friendly. I know they have a group message with Jared and I know he can be the split vote between what happens in our tribal tomorrow. Jared claims he has voted for Moth but we will truly see tomorrow. But honestly, if he chooses us, then Jessica is next unless the tribe swap or merge has happened.
~
Also with that research, I've peeped there's other connections in other tribes from previous games so this is gonna be interesting.
~
I chose Jared to work with mostly because I see he can play strategy.
Tumblr media
Fools tribe is bad at playing games. And its perfect for me because I am safe but i am wishing for drama bcs its fun. rn we are doing small talk and being so nice to each other. I think we will form an alliance officially soon but i am too awkward or like i dont know how to say it or bring it up.
Tumblr media
WHY! DOES! MY! TRIBE! KEEP! WINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am trying to go the fuck to tribal council but noooo we have to beast all the other tribes yet again. Like a swap is probably coming soon and with my fuckin luck I am gonna get swap screwed like they are gonna look at me from the phantoms and be like yeahhhh theyve been winning lets get his ass out. i would love to lose this next one so the sees look stronger. if phantoms go to tribal I know I''m safe (anything can happen but I set myself up well), and thats all I care about. Jodi and I started to really talk about the vets who are playing this season, and we just realized that we're the only newbies on our tribe. like wow. The fantasy would be to get to merge and have a numbers advantage of newbies against these vets, or make the vets eat their own idk. Lots of thinkin lots of thinkinnnnn. I have been strolling through the wiki page some more and mapping out potential connections from previous seasons. The casting directors work hard but i work harder

Roses are red We’re on day six Fools tribe worse at challenges than a bag of dead bricks

That im one of the strongest competitors on my tribe, Dennis feels like he is on the outs, but that connects us so i can pull him in as an ally.
Tumblr media
It’s been a tricky round

Power Rankings:
Tumblr media
Phantom
Jodi: Jodi remains at the top of the tribe for much of the same reason as last round. Now, she is even in two alliances with no one wanting to come for her nor do they see her as playing both alliances. Hopefully Jodi’s quick alliance making and constant worrying will help strengthen her defenses in the later rounds to come when people will be looking at her more closely.
Amy: Amy is still playing that stellar UTR game. No one seems to register her as a threat despite their access to the wiki and her performance in the challenge. Her social game is just too strong. Additionally, her greater willingness to work with Dennis than Jodi’s willingness to work with him may provide some good allies for Amy if she ever wants to distance herself from Jodi.
Brayden: Brayden rises in the rankings from last round as he has become more closely aligned with Amy and Jodi. The trio seem to see themselves as the only “active” ones on their tribe and are very quick to bond. Additionally, unlike Dennis, Brayden is not viewed with suspicion by either Jodi or Amy. They definitely feel more like a core alliance than they did with Dennis. Furthermore, Brayden is poised to get the people he wants gone out of this game. He is targeting Josh and Dennis which are good targets, especially the latter. All it takes is for Brayden to push a little for Dennis and I am sure the two girls will take the bait. Finally, Brayden’s connection with Ginnifer is very beneficial since he seems to be the only one willing to work with her at the moment. This gives him a very easy ally and Ginnifer doesn’t have much of a choice besides working closely with him. It is certainly an easy number for Brayden if he ever wanted to backstab Jodi or Amy in the future.
Josh: What lands Josh here is that he performed well in the challenge and is easy to like. Interacting with Josh on calls is always a pleasure. However, by not being part of that main trio, he is in danger of being voted out on a whim. Despite that, he seems to be, in my eyes, the least likely out of the bottom 3 to be voted out. Additionally, there is paranoia around people’s “experience” with ORGs surrounding these bottom 3 from others (despite the fact that the top 3 is composed of 2 people with ORG experience). Josh gets this heat the least.
Dennis: Dennis is in real danger if this tribe goes to tribal council. If Brayden pushes hard enough, Jodi can be easily swayed into turning on Dennis. He needs to back off with the strategy talk and just be more social. What saves him from last is that he is in that alliance with Jodi and Amy. This might make Jodi hesitant about targeting Dennis so soon as she may see him as a number. Additionally, Amy does seem keen on keeping Dennis around for a little while which would help his longevity. Hopefully Dennis can realize people’s perceptions of him before it is too late considering that he gives great confessionals and is one of my favorite players this season.
Ginnifer: Ginnifer may be on the bottom, but she definitely has a chance at avoiding being voted out. Most talk around Ginny is about how she is hard to socialize with, but I am sure, when the strategic game starts becoming more important, she can navigate out of this position. After all, she does have Brayden advocating for her which can definitely help. She would need to push for Dennis if she wants to survive until the swap at this point.
Fools
Jared: He takes the number 1 spot on this tribe as he is working with both “sides.” He is serving as the perfect double agent for Danny and Shaad. Additionally, he is making the smart move of getting rid of an obvious duo wherein he was the third wheel of that alliance. He has a great strategic mind on his shoulders, but is it too early for him to show that off? Regardless, he has earned this top spot by avoiding the target cleanly and betraying his allies perfectly. Jared is definitely a contender for the winner spot as he has shown some excellent gameplay these past two rounds.
Danny: Danny has done well in avoiding the target this round as well. He seems to be more sociable and active than Shaad which is the main reason that he is not the one getting Jessica’s and Moth’s vote. Additionally, he was the one that brought Jessica’s and Moth’s pre-existing relationship to Jared’s attention which caused this flip to happen in the first place. Finally, Danny made an excellent move by pairing himself with Jared as this duo could be something fearsome to go up against in the future. The cards are being laid out for a force to be reckoned with and I am excited to see what Danny will do in the future.
Shaad: It is hard to tell if Shaad did anything himself to avoid being voted out, but, regardless, he did something right by aligning with Danny and Jared instead of ratting to Jessica and Moth. In fact, even if he does rat, he will still land himself at number 3. He is not going to get voted out here, and has an established alliance moving forward. And now that he is putting more focus on the game, I am happily anticipating what he can accomplish now.
Jessica: Jessica is being blindsided tonight. However, at the very least, she is not the one going. Her performance in challenges have helped her avoid the target for the time being. Here we can see that the boys weren’t inactive, they were just inactive with her which spells doom for Jessica if this tribe goes to tribal council again. Unfortunately, the boys found out about her prior connection with Moth. The only thing Jessica could have done was to distance herself from Moth at the beginning of the game, but that seemed unlikely since people were inactive with her. I hope Jessica is able to survive until a swap because it would be devastating to see her go so early.
Moth: There is nothing Moth did that landed them here. It was just an unfortunate circumstance wherein they are targeted because of a prior connection. Additionally, I doubt Moth is going to see this coming.
S.E.E.S.
Colin: With an advantage in his hands and him being the most popular bachelor on his tribe, Colin is quick to make allies and his allies like it that way. It feels as if everyone wants to ally with Colin. His activity in the earlier stages of the game have definitely born fruit.
Elle: Similar to Colin, everyone wants to work with Elle. Her social game is just that strong. Nothing much else to say besides what I said before, but the challenge definitely helped raise Elle’s standings in the tribe.
Anastasia: Similar to last round. Nothing much to say.
Jay: He is keeping out of the spotlight which is good.
Babs: No developments. Still viewed in the same way though has noticeably been less unhinged in the tribe chat.
Jennifer: Still the same as last time: seemingly inactive and might be targeted for it.

Update the game!
Yes. I might as well update you guys on the game a notch so you don’t worry that I died. I didn’t die, I am just a bit busy with real life cuz, I finally went to get the necessary paper that I passed the state exam and shit and boi it’s hot outside. also my sis is sloowly preparing for her term (September 3rd), so.. summer is going to be fun. :’)
anyways to cut the shit short, here’s the update list to the Ultimatum (the final update) and what to expect.
things that are in the game
Intro:
-The only changes I did are the dialogues, they’re a bit short now (I also changed the intro dialogue for Pupper’s route, so the story might be a bit more clear per say.  -If you have followed in on the videos on my gaming channel (which are now unlisted), Pupper and alts don’t say their reason for their existence, they only say they’re here to help you. (Actually, Pupper says they want to help, Asriel has NO IDEA what he’s doing so YOU help HIM, baka just does their baka stuff, and Pipscrap tells Max that they’re there to help him and they don’t have much of a choice, being v vague about shit). I also fixed the major issue where the main route was completely unplayable by pushing all of the alt’s dialogues in one page (if I was to make a game with more alternates, I’d have to rely on switches as well. also I have room for 1 more alternate so.. I have no idea who I am going to add doe as I am saving Alpha’s route for her own game ROUTES) -You start at level 20, but Pupper and Alts ‘tame you’ (no euphemism intended), by resetting your stats to level 1 (In the videos I will do for you, you might notice that it’s different, because I slapped in level 50 as my testing default for when I test the full game. I only use test to test out puzzles.)
Zone 0:
-Dialogue changes, and there’s a hint in the second floor of the warehouse where it hints how to solve the puzzle. (placement of rows actually) -Judge no longer tells you about the mission, but he is rather wary of Pupper because of their appearance in the game, and for Pupper choosing Max out of all people.
Zone 1:
-Not much changes to Zone 1, beside major dialogue changes, you now have a choice to bond with the character or to decline, Pupper and alts say something different based on the given choice.  -Bob is a bit specific about the shachihata music note puzzle. -Aleyes is. yet again. Aleyes. But now he has reason to attack you back at the chicken farms. -Birb locations are finally implemented.  -Dedan’s personality is tweaked drastically.
Zone 2:
-Major changes to Zone 2 happened. Some things in the game stayed (like cleaning out the monsters back in the upper floor and also the mall event, however that was actually tweaked), and some puzzles were tweaked. I think I managed to fix a serious soft lock bug in the adoption center. Max and Sam are now placed up in the game room while you play as Seneca.  -Some new cutscenes are implemented into the game while some are taken out. -Residential area has a bit more life to it (Elsen actually do something at the beginning before Shedder attacks, and even after, you will see what they were doing.  -Valerie doesn’t explain about the tokens (no longer coins), and Japhet has a drastic change in his dialogue, and also new event sprites are implemented to fit the cutscene.  -Balloon game is FINALLY CHANGED TO THE GOD DAMNED WHACK A FUCKING MOLE!! GOD FUCKING DAMN!! I mean it took a while to implement, and I thought of scrapping it, but last minute decided to try and see if I can fuck around with the variables. -Birb locations are finally implemented. -Theo is now the cafe owner/souvenir giver. -Changed the puzzle in the way upper areas of the library. -As Pipscrap, YOU DON’T FIGHT SENECA. LIKE, AT ALL!!
Zone 3:
-I have yet to fix the whole thing, but the plans are to change areas 2 and 4. Area 1′s puzzle is now changed to gem hunt (You have to find 15 gems hidden among the cafeteria and dorms). -Alpha is now specific about the Punishment Game, and reminds you to be careful (if you chose to keep it on, but regardless, she does remind you just in case (some events are going to be in there. aka the monorail event and also the shedder event)) -If you choose to skip the hunt, you will no longer see the cutscene in the last update. HOWEVER, if you complete zone 3, and find Enoch’s memory place (all has to be on Pupper’s route, alt routes don’t work!!) you will be able to go into the backroom in alpha’s shop while the only people there are Enoch and Sucre (if you go back to talk to Enoch and remind him that his daughter is waiting). I will make some changes to the back room and add a new event. I might possibly even add some more music to the radio (non-copyrighted that is ahahahha) -Area 3′s tomato event has been changed. You no longer have to fight a myriad of armobugs, only 4 in a group of 3, and still be able to finish the quest. -Birb locations have yet to be implemented.  -Enoch’s dialogue will also be tweaked. I still follow with the relapsed Guardians, however they might be more in-character than before.. I hope....  -Also Punishment Game(tm) can be turned off if it’s too repetitive. however it only applies for OUTSIDE of the attraction.
Things that MIGHT be implemented:
-a little minigame for the intro sequence (it’s like those things in the kids’ games.. yeaaa.. ^^; either I implement it in the final update, or I implement it in the final game, I am debating on that one, I have been looking at the original game (the one with the joystick!!) to figure out how I can do that thing.. boi it’s hard. ;w;  -Erika will no longer be the ONLY side-antagon in the game. I am currently working on designing the other three bosses for each zone. -Zone 4 has yet to be worked on, but be patient. I will work on it aaa. -Asriel has gotten a redesign and is in the process of being sprited. yea. he’s going to have his sprite, but the sides are what the shit.. how do you sides? -Might actually implement living, breathing lost souls, albeit unlike Max. Devon and Georgio might get their changes as lost souls, except Puff. Puff is a precious cinnamon roll too pure for this world. I might also work on a game featuring puff as the main protagon.. But I need a motif.. and free time.. and also I need to work on Pretender too danget dffdhgfgh -more punishment games for zone 4. :)
anything else:
-Burnts now have a floral pattern to them -In order to get something from Pretender, you will have to collect necessary items scattered around the 3 Zones (zones 1 through 3) -as I said earlier, the major bug is fixed and some soft locks (esp the one in the adoption center ahah) -New monster re-sprites (by me and Wolf!) -some monsters’ stats have been changed. Broken time implemented, but still no battle animations set in stone.
and that’s it for now.

Path of Exile
Tumblr media
Path of Exile is a free-to-play Diablo-like action RPG that I put about 39 hours into this time around before I decided to call it quits halfway through Act 6.  I rolled a Witch/Necromancer and in a shocking display of self-control, I actually didn't create one of each class to play an hour in.  I didn't play with anyone nor did I trade with people, and I didn't put any money into the game through microtransactions.
For your crimes against Oriath and her people, you are hereby exiled to the continent of Wraeclast.  May God have mercy on your soul because Wraeclast won't.  Wraeclast is a sprawling wilderness with a variety of locales, as well as plenty of animals, people, and horrible monsters ready to kill you.  Oh, and there's the little problem of the dead not staying down too.
Tumblr media
The Sinister Six.
I originally played Path of Exile several years ago when it first released.  I tried to play with some people I knew but I was constantly rushed and I couldn't even fight anything because it was all dead already, so I wasn't able to really drink in the game.  The game was also kinda notorious for the desyncs then too, so I just dropped it and forgot about it for a long time.  Some other friends were talking about it recently so I decided to check it out and play it alone at my own pace, doing an unofficial Solo Self-Found run where you cannot party with or accept items from other players.
I went with a Witch summoner because that's kind of my go-to build for Diablolikes where possible.  I like the idea of meatshields and it's not like I let them do all the work.  By the time I stopped, I had a small army consisting of zombies, totem-summoned skeletons, flaming skulls, a golem, an animated guardian, and whatever items I could turn into temporary allies.  And all of these were buffed by one aura to deal extra cold damage while a second aura made enemies vulnerable to it.  It worked for the most part, though the curse-aura still had terrible range despite me trying to improve it.
There are a few things Path of Exile does differently from other games in the genre.  While there are six starting classes, they're not set in stone as far as stats or skills go.  The class you select really only influences your starting point on the massive 'skill forest' of passives you can slowly traverse as you gain levels.  My Witch honestly could've become an armor-clad hulk swinging around a tree if I wanted, just it'd cost me more points in the end compared to the Marauder.  If you've played Final Fantasy X, then you could think of it as being like the Sphere Grid without any sections to unlock for each character.
Tumblr media
Might need to squint a little.
Another thing is that no class has any default skills, instead they're all found in Skill Gems which any class can use provided they have the right stats and an open slot on their equipped gear that matches the gem's color.  So it's kind of like Final Fantasy VII's Materia system.  There are even gems that buff other gems passively as long as they're physically linked in gear to other gems.  For example, I had a basic Frostbolt to clear out pots and I'd cast it on enemies since it'd slowly cut through them for a good distance, and I had a Volley Support gem linked to it that made it cast three bolts in a wide formation.  Skill Gems can be quest rewards, but they can be bought from some vendors too.
Tumblr media
Jesus.  Oh, it gets better--that water on the bottom-right?  That’s blood.  You even see people(?) writhing in it later.  There are even walls made of bodies in this part too.
And another thing is that instead of finding potions dropping off of mooks semi-regularly, you instead have up to five equipped Flasks at a time that restore health or mana, or provide another short-lived effect.  These can also be enchanted, providing effects such as giving a portion of the health restoration to your minions, resistances while you're recovering, a speed boost, and so on.  Flasks have a maximum amount of 'charges' and so many of those are consumed on use, and charges are slowly restored as you kill enemies.  Flasks also stop working when you hit full on whatever you were restoring, and this applies to the magical effects any enhanced ones carry.
And yet another thing is that there is no gold at all.  The game's currency is tied around items found in the wild or received from NPCs for your junk and while these items have some modium of value, they're also functional.  One type upgrades the quality of weapons, another adds a prefix or suffix to a magic item, one makes an enchanted item back to its default white state, another unpredictably alters an item with no way to alter it further...and so on.  I admittedly didn't use very many of the currency orbs so they just clogged up my stash, but Path of Exile has a pretty robust crafting system if you're willing to get all of the currency items necessary for your dream gear.  Not to mention there are secret vendor 'recipes' if you turn in specific items to generate a specific result, and thankfully you don't need to teach these to NPCs...but you'll need to look them up yourself or luck into them by accident.
Tumblr media
There’s actually a recipe’s components here if you can believe it.
The game is constantly updated and gets new features pretty regularly.  I started a bit after the new Abyss content was added tenatively, where glowing nodes on the ground spawn growing fissures full of enemies and a strong rare enemy appears guarding a treasure chest that gets sealed if you take too long to kill the king mook and his lackeys.  They're adding a Bestiary League in a few days that apparently involves you capturing monsters...presumably to do battle with other people who have done the same thing.  From what I understand, Leagues are a way of testing new content with a character that can't interact with your old Standard League characters before said features are added to the game in full for everyone.  Abyss League had a number of achievements that once you completed so many, you'd get free cosmetics related to it but I didn't get that many down.
I liked the setting.  The first act is mostly rocky beaches and caves with a bit of a muddy marshy area or dried lake bed thrown in for good measure.  Later acts throw in some Greco-Roman-inspired architecture which reminds me of how long I've neglected Titan Quest, and I'm a nerd for that stuff too.  There's a lot of New Zealand-inspired mythology present, poignant given that's where the devs are from and it's a nice change given the only place I'd expect to find any of that is a Shin Megami Tensei game.  None of the towns are really towns but more like encampments, tiny places that have a compact selection of NPCs but also feel like they're in danger of being overrun at any time.  Quests aren't anything novel, but I liked not really having a primary antagonist at the very start.  Compare the first two Diablo games where you know Diablo/The Dark Wanderer are your eventual goals and your journey is all about facing off with them at some point.  Here, you're pretty much making yourself useful to the townspeople as you cut down hordes of monsters and explore the continent...though some antagonists do eventually show up.
Almost all of the microtransactions are for cosmetics.  You are able to buy stash tabs (you start with four generic ones for your account) but I didn't have a problem with that, but I also only had one character instead of the ten you're able to make for free.  I didn't look in the store for anything so I can't really comment on what's there or what's not.  I don't think there are any pay-to-win elements, just stash tabs are the only things that impact gameplay as far as I know.
Tumblr media
Uh...one bad mamma-jamma?
I had a few problems with the game though.  The biggest one was that the graphics quality was a bit too much for my computer, even on the lowest settings and switching to Direct X9.  I originally had the game on my secondary HDD but I semi-regularly would get logged out of the game (failed to join instance) on trying to return to town, and I'd get momentary lock-ups when other people with a bunch of visual cosmetics would warp in.  Those mostly went away when I put the game on my SSD, but that didn't last.  The later areas have enemies that have pretty intense attacks and this led to the game freezing for a moment while the action continued on the server.  This wound up killing me more than a few times.  I know I need a better machine in general and I know the devs want to have a visually-impressive game, but when there's "nothing I can do" to counter that, that kinda takes the enjoyment out of the game quickly.  In almost every game you need to see in order to do anything, so how does a frozen image help tell me where to move to avoid death?
And this is kinda spoilery, but I was surprised to hear that the game had ten acts.  I'm used to games like these having five.  The game used to have the standard "three difficulties you gradually work through" so you'd replay content, but they did away with that a while ago and stuck in five more acts.  Turns out this game pulls a Ghouls & Ghosts on you.  Get to the end of Act 5, take on the final boss...oh, sorry, that didn't count, go back to the start of the game.  The situation is different than in Ghouls & Ghosts considering the stuff you did in prior acts is finally acting on the world and there are more quests and so on, but it still feels kinda off to me.  It's new content in old areas in a way and while that's fine for most, it just made me realize how much more of the game I had to play before getting to the actual end.  Mind you, I've gone through Act V on Hell in Diablo 2 exactly one time in a modded version, so I'm not really someone who got much mileage out of the "play it three times" system anyway.
Tumblr media
Or...or, don’t call me crazy, but I could take their amulets and yours and make three for me.
I'll still recommend the game though.  I had a good time until I didn't, and part of it might've honestly been the semi-passive build I had going.  I also limited myself quite a bit in terms of player interaction and that's a draw for other people too.  And for it being an entirely-free game, I got quite a bit of enjoyment out of it and I'm sure anyone who has interest in the genre would like it, at least once they get over the ridiculously daunting passive tree.
Tumblr media
Still kinda nice to zoom in and enjoy the scenery every once in a while.

For Honor Hack
For Honor Hack
at the beginning look, you may be forgiven for thinking for honor is a easy hack-and-curb recreation in a comparable vein to ryse: son of rome, however after you're in the back of the controller you will fast realize that there is so much extra to be located in ubisoft's new "artwork of battle" control machine. behind the movement-adventure aesthetics lies a deep and complicated fight device that feels specific.
the "art of struggle" fight machine in for honor is the muse upon which the sport is built, and for that reason it has far more in commonplace with traditional combating games like avenue fighter and mortal kombat than hack-and-slash video games like ryse or action-adventure games that its 1/3-person, over the shoulder angle and medieval putting may advocate.
when facing off towards an enemy opponent, keeping the left trigger places you into "guard mode," wherein you may regulate your stance among the proper, left and top positions. to dam incoming assaults, you should read which route your opponent is the use of after which mirror their stance, and to inflict your very own damage you may need to interchange to one of the two directions that they aren’t presently defensive to land correctly using the available light and heavy assaults.
it sounds like honest stuff till you leave the tutorial and the enemies start to combat again in earnest. nothing will really prepare you for the multiplayer recreation modes wherein you'll quickly discover that underlying those primary principles there are stamina stages you may need to hold an eye fixed on, dodges, parries, defend breaks, counters, feints, combos, unique attacks that can not be interrupted, environmental hazards, unlockable talents known as feats, and a roster of 12 exceptional heroes you may face who all use them in one-of-a-kind ways and to varying ranges of effectiveness.
it could be brutal and unforgiving at the start, but as your capabilities improve and also you find a playable hero that enhances your combating fashion, you will get that eureka moment in which it all makes feel and you begin to experience comfortable in struggle. you'll nonetheless locate that your hero's head rolls around at the ground pretty frequently, but encounters grow to be a dance of timing, strategy, and ability as opposed to a one-sided slaughter that leaves you pressured.
making use of the fight system are 12 heroes which can be equally divided among the three warring factions of knights, vikings, and samurai. each faction gives its own variation on four one of a kind instructions of hero. a nicely-rounded vanguard, a slower however tough hitter heavy, an agile and rapid murderer, and a hybrid that is a stability between the others and is suit with a long variety weapon. there may be a actual difference among each of the 12 available heroes thanks to the one-of-a-kind ability sets, guns and feats to be had because of this that if one class didn't work for you with one faction, you would possibly find that it does in a extraordinary one. learning every of them is one of the highlights of for honor's fight.
there may be a extensive variety of customisation options available for each character, inclusive of some which let you change the intercourse of your warriors. new objects can be presented through development, even as a few may be bought the usage of in-sport forex known as metallic. the real difficulty here is that steel is presented so carefully for competing in fits. with some items costing 5,000, 10,000 and 15,000 steel, being rewarded 20 for fit manner you’re either going to ought to do quite a few grinding for that bright new outfit you really want or spend real existence cash.
before each suit, you can select from any of the available characters to fight with, even though some are first of all locked at the back of a paywall as a way to require in-recreation currency to liberate. early on, every hero feels well balanced presenting you could study the nuances of their robust and susceptible points. that does begin to trade as you development, but, as in three of the to be had 5 multiplayer game mode gear stats come into play.
every of the heroes has his or her very own unbiased rank with a view to rise thru use in video games. at degree 20 your popularity level will boom — think of it like prestige tiers in call of responsibility — however in contrast to activision's shooter, which resets all of your guns and calls for you to unlock them once more, for honor rewards these characters with higher tiers of gear that immediately have an effect on attributes along with attack damage, protection and stamina charges. this coupled with a matchmaking machine that at times unfairly puts all of the better-degree characters on one crew can make for some fits where the chances are stacked in opposition to the alternative team from the start. higher stats don’t necessarily guarantee victory, of route, but it usually offers them a bonus that feels like it may effortlessly be corrected throughout matchmaking.
the intricacies of for honor's combat system absolutely come to play inside the duel (1 v. 1) and brawl (2 v. 2) sport modes where gear stats aren't taken under consideration. it basically comes all the way down to the ability of the fighter or duo to win the day. each suit is fought over 5 rounds, meaning which you get the opportunity to research your combatants' strategies and devise an answer even if you lose the early lead.
some of the finer points of for honor's combat are misplaced within the four vs. 4 sport modes of dominion, elimination and skirmish where you may pretty often be outnumbered with heavy attacks dropping rain on you from more than one guidelines. fortuitously, this is countered with revenge mode — a meter that slowly fills on every occasion you block an opponent's assault --and when brought about offers you an offensive and shielding buff that may be used to swing the struggle again on your favour. it's no longer assured to work, but when it does there's no higher feeling than seeing  or extra attackers lay lifeless on the ground whilst you're nevertheless status to inform the story.
the four vs. four modes also allow gamers to use unlockable abilties referred to as feats that are assigned to the d-pad. every man or woman has four to be had and that they function abilities like second wind, to be able to get better some of your lost fitness, to being able to fireplace projectiles into a focused place.
the whole multiplayer experience is wrapped in a metagame called the faction conflict. as you begin the game you may be asked to pick one of the three factions to name your very own. after every suit, you'll be able to set up war assets onto a territorial map where an ongoing conflict is being fought. you could pick to protect your personal territory or assault a neighbouring one. every six hours the consequences are mentioned and the territories controlled are shuffled. it's an interesting idea, and even though it might sound useless you'll be granted in-recreation rewards if your faction does well over a  week round or 10 week season. the consequences of a season will alter the advent of multiplayer maps as time progresses and allows to build the tale of the game.
as precise as the multiplayer is, for honor does be afflicted by some connection troubles that may variety from mildly demanding to infuriating. i have been disconnected as i've loaded into video games, been eliminated midway through video games, had bots update each other participant and the unusual occasion in which lag has been so awful that fighters seem to teleport from location to location in front of me. the troubles feel like they've stepped forward slightly during the last week of playing, however they're nonetheless there, that's much less than best for this type of multiplayer targeted game.
even as for honor is unashamedly a multiplayer focused recreation, it does encompass a 4 to 6-hour unmarried-participant campaign that tells the records of the faction war and acts as an instructional to a few of the nuances of the game’s fight device. even as it absolutely doesn't experience like a "tacked-on" experience way to its cutscenes, setpieces and a large amount of additional talk, it does experience like a neglected possibility to tell a memorable tale about those historic factions. as an alternative, we're left with hole and forgettable characters a good way to depart you questioning how properly it may had been instead of playing it for what it's miles.
if you do revel in the campaign, there's a separate rank that is earned as you progress as a way to provide you with a few customisation unlocks for multiplayer, and with three various problem stages and masses of collectibles to discover, there is a reason to replay if you want to look and do the whole lot to be had.
for honor's success list isn't always specially hard, however it's going to take a few willpower in case you're looking for the completion. the campaign has achievements for completing every faction's bankruptcy, finding all of the collectibles, and three based totally on problem. most of the people of the achievements are provided within the pvp multiplayer recreation modes that allows you to require some skill and practice however should not be a trouble in case you're gambling the sport on a everyday foundation. there also are achievements for taking element inside the faction battle, because of this you're going to need to preserve coming returned and gambling the game to make certain you area property in 5 exceptional two week rounds, come again to peer the results of a 10 week season in that you have participated, and also place property at the map in 50 of the exceptional six-hour long turns.
