This panel is so heartbreaking. . .

Edis, Aaron, and Roderick having to abandon the altar, and also Usher. And Edis having to apologize — not because of the altar, but her teammate himself. She did what she must do despite telling Usher to hold on.

Unlike Aaron, who was once in the brink of death in the princess arc, there was no hope Usher due to the situation and nobody was capable of watching over him and maintaining his survival. Edis did what Han could've done back there, no matter how much she wished to keep her teammate alive.
