hello. the fontaines DC album is fine, it’s got like 3 bangers and the rest are just okay. i have more hot takes! i like the new horse jumper of love album better than their self titled. okay also… failed at math(s) is quite substantially better than deathmetal. your day will come by chanel beads is one of the best albums released this year. i love both of jane remover’s albums (a LOT) but somehow i love the singles she dropped this year even more. i liked but wasn’t obsessed with chromakopia. it’s kind of bloated. i was obsessed with peggy’s i lay down my life for you. my favourite dance records of the year are in waves by jamie xx and 3AM (LA LA LA) by confidence man (which didn’t get enough love imo). so sorry so slow by adult jazz went under most people’s radar but it’s really wonderful, and a slow-burn. my most listened-to album this year was volcanic bird enemy and the voiced concern 💀 i was three years late to that one lol. i discovered magdalena bay this year!! imaginal disk and mercurial world are both absolute gems that i played to death. i listened to and loved three kate bush albums. my (maybe controversial) ranking is hounds of love > the kick inside > the dreaming > never for ever. my favourite new discoveries are the aforementioned chanel beads, urika’s bedroom, lustsickpuppy, micachu & the shapes and oklou. shout out to the cranberries and adrianne lenker for helping me through a breakup <3 this has been my music Year In Review ❤️‍🔥

“SO NUMB” is a brand-new standalone single from @glimmerisaband & it finds the New York-based quartet of Jeff Moore (vocals/guitar), Jaye Moore (drums), Johnny Nicholls (guitar) & Kevin Dobbins (bass) living “another day of in between extremes” across 3 ½ mins of Alt_rocking & dream_gazing GrungePop.
