hi! What are some of the best rigs and best place to buy those rigs? Especially for beginners or budget friendly?
I would say a dryland rig (3 and 4 wheeled vehicles) are not a beginner vehicle of any kind because to safely pull these rigs you need at least 3 trained, well conditioned, healthy, adult dogs.
If you are just barely getting into dog powered sports I would try canicross (an on-foot sport), bikejoring (buy a mountain bike at your price range either used or otherwise) or scooterjoring (similar to bikejoring but you use a large kick scooter or 'kickbike' (the less accessible of these three because the scooter can be difficult to find or fund at a decent price. I was lucky to get mine used and free (and almost broken so I did spent some money/time fixing it).
Rigs can come in a variety of price ranges, but the most cost effective way to procure mushing supplies is to get it second hand (still having a Facebook account is best for this). My rig is from Wolftrack Dog Carts LLC and I consider those prices pretty economical for a new rig.
