Another day, another garbage take on romance books, nothing new under the sun, misogyny gonna misogyny, etc.

I know I was lucky enough not to reach sexual maturity in the Panopticon, which I assume makes a huge difference in the reactions but like imagine a complete stranger replying on a post you made with "this isn't romance, is revolting porn, and you're an awful, stupid person for liking it" and feeling one single thing in response.

Unfortunately, I am not reading to impress you, you don't have control over what I read, and you physically cannot stop me unless you kill me, so die mad I guess?

#and 'nono I just mean tiktok dark romance porn' is not the hot save you think it is either #I realize that not growing up in Panopticon I developed a REALLY thick skin about people thinking my hobbies were stupid #and developing the skills to not care what people thought of me but COME ON #it's deeply annoying because most of these are 20-somethings trying to replicate high school social dynamics via social media #unfortunately you can't bully me for liking something anymore I have a mortgage and am not required to play nice with you #stop b think of the children
