I have a wedding to attend in a week or two, and I'm sounding like a Poor but Virtuous Victorian girl as I plan out my outfit – my budget is very tight and I caught myself trying to decide if I could spend a few dollars on ribbon to make myself a fancy headband.
#it doesn't help that I'm planning to wear a linen dress I sewed last year#it's last year's frock but I can freshen it up with ribbons in my hair#is something I could have said in 1850 and apparently also in 2023#it's a homeschool wedding so I probably won't be the only woman wearing a dress she made herself#unfortunately my vintage shoe clips won't work with any of the shoes that will work with my dress
