my parents are so tiktok-brained it's not even funny
#of course they took the cat-eating hoax as gospel#this is why i don't even bother having any remotely political discussions with them because they always jumpscare me with bullshit#they weren't acting like this a year ago#which incidentally enough is when they didn't even have tiktok accounts yet#funny how parents constantly lecture their offspring about not believing everything you hear#yet they're the main ones who treat unverified tiktok videos as factual information#one of the summer classes i took was critical reading & critical analysis#i wish i would've bought another copy of the assigned book that came with it#because i'm pretty sure both of them would benefit from it#it basically delves into the necessity of analyzing what you're reading thoroughly and seeing what sources they originate from#as well as tapping into misinformation and it's consequences#ugh sorry i went on this long ass spiel i'm just mildly annoyed right now#what's cookin' in hell's kitchen?
