Hello kh fans and co! I've decided I'm going to start up a kingdom hearts confessions blog, since all the ones I've seen are highly inactive, and with a hopefully busy year for kh around the corner (2025 don't make me eat my words), I've decided now is a good time to make one! So, here's a little bit of info.

First, about myself (we'll get into the blog in a minute). I go by Heart, Spirit, or Kaiden and I use exclusively he/him pronouns.

This blog will allow NSFW posts, and there will be a blocked tag for it (scroll for the tag list). However, depending on how explicit they may get, I may limit what ends up getting posted. NSFW posts will never be main tagged.

All posts will be queued, I'm starting with 10 posts a day however this may be edited depending on how many asks end up coming in.

Feel free to send in ff/twewy related confessions as well, while this is marketed as a KH blog, posting confessions on games that relate to KH works as well. The same goes for disney.

No hate towards specific members of the community will be posted. This is not the place to send harassment to members, and I would like to keep it overall civil.

I don't fully know how to explain this, and the way of dealing with it will change, but please keep shipping arguments to a minimum. I'd prefer not to see shipping wars break out here, due to them just making fandom spaces toxic and I'd prefer for that to not enter its way into the blog.

Absolutely he's involved! Sure he's not part of the crew that travels between worlds, but Roxas had to have met Joshua somehow, of course!

Since I'm still new to twewy, most of my insight and characterization of Joshua and Neku would be from my partner, and I haven't even seen all of the secret reports yet so do be warned on that front! I would tag their blog for crediting their design for Joshua, but they haven't uploaded the images I used as reference and I don't want to reupload its work without permission obviously. I'll probably tag them when I upload the character sheet thing I'd been working on, just in case.

Okay I'm going to confess a lot of my hot takes are about NEO (and there are many of them). However I think one of my biggest ones is that the ideal sequel to OG TWEWY would've had Joshua as one of the focal characters, because he's the only playable character from the first game whose arc wasn't actually finished. The big questions at the end of the first game were basically "What will he do now? Will he go meet everyone? What happens to him in the aftermath of the Long Game?" and the Secret Ending was pretty much TWEWY's sequel bait before Solo Remix existed (not that poor Tsugumi was treated any better). NEO's new writer deciding those questions weren't that important after all and shoving him off screen for 95% of the game (ostensibly because he was too powerful and would overshadow Rindo, according to that one interview) and then them declaring that all the OG characters' stories are done despite literally nothing changing for Joshua was... certainly A Choice that makes me feel many things. All of them negative. Even KH3D realised his story was the one that needed continuing, which is why (to me, at least) it actually felt satisfying for both him and the Hachiko Gang as a whole.

But now instead we've got Neku who was forced into isolation, away from the people he cares about, after coming to appreciate the world around him and change as a person which was... exactly the same situation Joshua was in at the end of the first game, but again I guess the writer just decided Joshua's version wasn't as interesting or something. And now they're both just stuck there mid character arc, forever. Definitely not bitter.

My original answer was going to be that I feel like people's approach to UG lore has got a lot less creative ever since NEO came out and it makes me sad, but that's more about the fandom than the game.

For a probably less divisive hot take: I think Junk Garage is a good song

He couldn't help but chuckle slightly. Sho really didn't get along with anyone, did he? "Did something happen between you guys?", he asked, generally rather curious. Sho did weird things that tended not to make much sense at the time - but they usually ended up being something that lead to further trouble down the line, so maybe it was best not to ignore it.
