I fucking remember he dragged his feet when people were getting sick and dying from Covid 19 at the beginning of the pandemic. How worried I was about going to the store and getting the virus because I didn't want to leave my dad behind or get him sick because he was in the demographic for those who were more likely to get hospitalized and die.

I just want to preface by saying that I do not agree with those views at all. Causing millions of people to die just because they don't fit your standards for a perfect human is the most twisted and evil thing someone could do, and it's so shocking to see how many people agree with this.

I'm writing a dystopian novel, and the fictional country it's set in has a government that is controlling and very much based on fascism. It's not represented as good- they lie, convince young children to sign up for their army, murder, etc.

Now, a big part of this is how the people- other than those on the poor side- do not care. It doesn't affect them, so they don't see a problem. A child dies because he was accused of sneaking over from the other side? ‘Well, that's just how it is.’

Because of this, the leaders of the country have to be horrible people, but excellent leaders. Propaganda needs to be rampant. Otherwise, it's not as realistic that they'd be borderline worshipped.

I was thinking of listening to some of Hitler's speeches- as he's probably the most infamous leader who fits into that category- and having the leaders of this fictional country do their speeches in ways very similar to him.

However, I'm worried that someone will see what I'm listening to and think I'm a neo-nazi. Or that most of the speeches uploaded will have been uploaded by neo-nazis.

So a video went viral this week of a Neo Nazi at a five guys in Vermont who came in and harassed and attacked a Hispanic worker. He called him “b*aner” (a slur against Hispanic and Latino people) 10+ times, and on top of this, did the sig heil (nazi salute) multiple times. The Hispanic man who was being victimized, a single father, posted the video to social media, where he was promptly fired from five guys for quote “instigating and attacking the beliefs of a customer”. Yes, you heard this correctly, he was FIRED FOR RESISTING A RACIST ATTACK FROM A NAZI. Make no mistake, this will become more and more common as hate crime protection laws are repelled by the trump admin, and queer, Latino, black, female, ect employees will be forced to bare attacks agaisnt them and their humanity by racists and nazis because if they don’t, they can be fired for retaliating. This is trumps America, this is fascism. I’m sorry for the political posts today, but this is important for queer, POC, and other minorities like me to know as we are reaching the ages in which we are going to have to start entering the workforce sooner or later. We will not be allowed to defend ourselves anymore, because the racist and homophobic nazis are now in control of our rights and voices. They have won. We have lost.
