I can’t get this idea out of my head so I’m gonna share it and feel free to use it. We know that Heteromorphs (people with mutant quirks) can have a very diverse appearance and abilities. Well my idea is kinda NSFW-ish, so here it is: a living armor quirk. Basically the character has a shapeshifting and transformation ability that allows them to become a living bodysuit that can protect whoever wears them. For example: if someone was wearing them, the wearer could ask the character to grow wings so they can fly. Since the character would have to be touching the skin of whoever is wearing them it can get kinda steamy.

The character is basically made up of microscopic wires and strings that weave together to make up their body. These wires can be bulletproof, fireproof and other proofs but it would depend on how healthy they are in mind, body and spirit. If they’re sick for instance, they won’t be able to hold themselves together enough to protect the wearer. The character can control each individual microscopic wire and re-weave them around the wearer’s body. The reader would of course need to eat and drink just like anybody else but their body is evolved to digest quickly and turn excess food and nutrients into energy. (So basically they don’t need to shit as much, since any excess materials they consume are quickly broken down and stored as fat or excess wire for when they take on damage and need to repair themselves)

The NSFW part and the part i can’t stop thinking about is how heroes who have the character as a sidekick would more than likely wear the character as opposed to their hero suits.

Imagine Aizawa learns about this character and decides that having them transform into a suit for him would be time saving and more practical. This would mean that Aizawa would only wear the absolute bare necessities since the character only has so much wire to work with. This also means that the character can feel every part of the wearer’s body. Which means the character can feel Aizawa’s dick and has to wrap themselves around it to support it. Now Aizawa could wear his regular suit over the character and just use them as an added layer of protection.

Or Endeavor hears about this character and decides that they would be perfect for him. We all have seen how big he is in height and musculature. This would mean the character has more space to cover making the suit thinner compared to someone like Aizawa. Now since the character has the ability to be fireproof Endeavor’s flames won’t hurt them but they can get really hot. (Imagine if endeavor had the character become a jockstrap or cup like article to help hide his bulge)

Or how about Dabi? What if he had the character act as a second layer of skin? Overtime the character would be able to build up a resistance to Dabi’s flames kind of like exposure therapy. Now Dabi basically wears them all the time since they help keep him from burning his skin.

And what about Edgeshot? With his quirk the reader would be the perfect sidekick (or should I say sidestick) literally, because the reader would be worn by him and literally be as his side.

[BNHA] Maya’s Debut Chapter 2 part 2 Maya demonstrates her quirk by throwing the ball as far as she can. A certain someone has mixed feelings about the possibilities of her quirk… Phew this took a long time 💀💀 what’s new right? With the exception of the very first panel, all backgrounds are done by me. Even Present Mic’s quirk announcement, which I’m most proud of 😎

Also I've been remarked that fire is not matter, it's a form/state of matter. So I just wanna clear up: Maya can transform into anything she can touch and feel.

'Matter absorption' was the best title I could find to describe what she can do. Her body transforms into matter, in addition of certain forms of matter, such as liquids and plasma. Gas is the only state of matter she can't absorb. She also can't absorb energy (e.g., electricity). So long as she can feel the material or element, she can absorb it.

Anyway, I've posted all the parts I have done so far! So now my instagram and tumblr are in sync. Posts from here on out will be muuuuuch slower LMAO. I have a difficult relationship with my art and yet I have very ambitious ideas 💀

「hero name:

kokhav — is a hebrew name that literally translates to, "star". this has been a name i've thought about for a while but did not really consider for which oc. considering her quirk, i decided it would be perfect for her. it is also a bit unorthodox considering hero names in the bnha universe have english terms such as, "one for all".

「name:

amaterasu — is the famous sun goddess in japanese mythology. i wanted to further emphasize the star characteristics of her quirk, hence the name. considering her name to be pretty long in terms of pronunciation, she is often given nicknames.

fujiwara — was/is a clan that was known to be powerful in the imperial regents of japan. they have ever since been prosperous even during the ancient times. the family was known to be married into powerful government positions, to which they gained power. sinilarly to this, these events are a great reference to amaterasu's backstory.

fun fact ! : as i was choosing her voice actor, it was my first time hearing a japanese voice over for twilight sparkle (a character from the famous "my little pony" show) and it enthralled me to which i decided miyuki sawashiro is what amaterasu would sound like. adding to that, she also has voiced kurapika from hunter x hunter !

「birthday:

05 13 — in theory, if bnha's time is based on 2035, amaterasu would be 15 and born in the year 2020. with this, on the month of may, the day 13 was set on will be on wednesday. as most know the poem/rhyme, "monday's child", the infamous line of, "wednesday's child is full of woe" is something i wanted to greatly emphasize.

fun fact ! : 13 is considered to be an unlucky number which is why when going to a hotel, the number "13" is usually skipped.

「quirk:

star strike — is a quirk i have invented probably in the late 2020's. initially, the concept was a quirk that can physically manifest crystal-like structures with a purple-ish/blue-ish hue with a specific star's characteristics. they can be "shards" that can float or held to be used as weapons or even restraints. the best quirk in the anime that is similar to this i would say is something like hero: cementoss, shoto todoroki, villain: geten. if wanted to, this crystal-like structure can also only possess in-general characteristics such as gravitational pull, brightness, or heat. with this concept still in mind, i kept thinking of where to draw its first condition in order to properly manifest this:

extensive knowledge about a specific star (i.e. a star's approximate gravitational pull, etc.)

further, i wanted to add drawbacks as a good lesson we have been taught in the anime is to think that quirks are like a "muscle".

i thought that this quirk is quite "op" (though that wouldn't even really matter considering she will never be canon !) so i decided some sort of heavier drawback. "stars that shine the brightest, often burn the fastest" is a line that would best fit amaterasu's quirk drawback. the more she continues to use powerful motions with her quirk, the more she gains detrimental effects on her body.

cracks would start to form first from the core of her body and spread. the longer it remains untreated with the constant use of her quirk, the wider these cracks form which would lead to blood seeping out.

fun fact ! : she uses her quirk so often that it has carefully wedged its way into her daily activities causing a few things to float around and about ! her hair is an often victim of this which has lead to the unruly top part of it.

「backstory summary:

coming from an elite family, she is often indoors and coddled. this leads to the unfortunate events of a weaker immune system which has caused the doubting of her heroic abilities considering she gets sick quire often. she passed the entrance exams for UA and even gained extensive recommendation letters from her professors from her previous school but with lingering doubt, she chooses the support course with an unsure, missing feeling.

instead of the general or business course, she chose the support course as she already has slight experience with item engineering.

though all that trouble of choosing which one to pick has come to an end when an anonymous recommendation to move her up to class 1-A surfaced.

with a more set in stone (and practically no choice) decision, she sets foot in the classroom of class 1-A. with little surprise, she sees an (un)expected familiar two-toned hair.

fun fact ! : when looking closely on the pins of her bag strap, you would see a buster sword from ffvii (final fantady 7). the entire franchise of final fantasy means a lot to me, and discovered that horikoshi (the author of bnha) has quite the liking for the franchise as well. i thought it would be a fun addition to have amaterasu canonically like final fantasy as well.

All For One was a strange man. He was weighed down by his years of living, all the quirks he obtained, and he couldn't do anything about it. Sure, he could use one of his many quirks to project a villainous idea in many of the civilians' heads and make them commit crimes. He could lure a poor, powerful soul to rule under him and commit heinous crimes in his name. But that was just too boring.

It was too predictable.

He wanted excitement in his life, even if he could see what his future would be with another dozen of his quirks. He wanted to turn his mind off — he wanted a purpose. All For One wanted to control someone, not because he lured them into his schemes, but because he could create them.

Despite what many might think, he did not have the capability to create another person. Even if there was a quirk like that, it'd probably be a useless quirk that would create yet another mindless follower; a person who would complete any tasks with no mind of their own. No… he wanted someone who could fight back with him. He wanted someone who could make their own choices and decide whether they'd follow All For One blindly, or choose to go against him for a greater evil purpose.

However, he could help create a life — A life that could comprehend words and make their own conclusions on what he ordered from them. He had at least dozens of those creation quirks. He could lure a powerful person to his resting area, use a quirk to prepare them to hold his lifeform, and then he could take his creation back and start anew.

Yes… this would work. Even if it couldn't work the first time, he'd try again and again and again until he had his desired result.

All he wanted was to defeat the heroes once more. All For One’s only plausible goal was to torment anyone who possessed the power of One For All…

He could… no… he would get whatever he wanted. At any cost…

The plan was in motion. All For One had lured a strong, powerful young woman to his lair. He didn't need anyone with a quirk to be a part of his plan, but he couldn't pass up the opportunity of having a child with a powerful quirk, and then he could inject them with other powerful quirks. He wanted the child to be as powerful as he could get them.

The woman blindly walked in and slowly walked towards All For One. He touched her stomach, putting enough of his power towards this so it would work. As his power flowed through the woman's whole body, All For One could tell that the pain didn't even affect her. This was way easier than he thought.

Once the power had successfully formed the child in the woman, All For One immediately sent her off and let the mind control fade away as she integrated back into society.

The moment was coming closer and closer. He just needed to be patient. Sure, he could've sped up the pregnancy process, but frankly, he did not want to deliver a baby in his lair. He'd rather let a hospital deal with that.

This led to the next step of his plan.

He immediately knew that the time had come. As soon as he woke up from his deep slumber, he knew that the child was headed to him. All For One was going to lure the woman back to the lair to give him the child, but the woman came back on her own, demanding answers from the usually frightening man.

She didn't wait for any more answers as she shoved the baby in All For One's arms and left the hideout, never looking back.

That was rather easy…

The child looked nothing like him except for his eyes. His were a faded red that showed no emotion. The only difference was the light that shone in this child's eyes.

He did not wish to control the child's gender, but he was given a girl. From what he could tell, the child was rather beautiful, probably because she resembled her mother. That did not matter though. Not anymore.

Nothing mattered now with what he was going to do next.

In order not to kill the young girl, All For One would wait for the young one to gain her quirks. He was going to give her a multitude of his quirks. He planned to give her invisibility, teleportation, creation, and a mind projection quirk, which would allow the girl to project a voice or a message into anyone's head at any time, as long as they were in her radius. Any other quirks he planned to give her would wait until she could control her given quirks, and her natural quirk.

He had not given her a name, but she would respond to anything. She was already very smart for a creation. She could walk almost a year after being born, and she talked up a storm about whatever came to her mind. All For One found it all too much to deal with, but he didn't want to ruin his hard work. Not now. Not when he was getting somewhere.

She was four years old when everything outside of his original plan was taking place. Soon after the girl turned four, All For One could sense a child in the alleyway next to his lair.

A disturbed, traumatized child. Shimura Nana’s grandchild…

All For One went to the alley, and long story short, he invited the young boy to come in. The little girl was the first to see the young boy, who was about nine years old, and she wanted to meet him immediately. All For One stopped her as the young boy went in to see The Doctor. The girl waited patiently, asking All For One what he knew about the child.

“You need to stay away from him. He is capable of hurting you with a single touch.”

And even though the young girl knew he was right, she still wanted to meet the boy. He was the first person close to her age that she could interact with, and that's what she wanted the most.

When the boy was finished in the room, the young girl grabbed the young boy's attention.

“What's your name?”

The boy looked hesitantly between All For One and The Doctor, but he responded almost immediately.

“...Shimura Tenko…”

“That's a cool name! I don't have a name…”

The young boy tried to not speak to her after that, but she wouldn't stop asking him questions, trying to learn more about him. Even when All For One told the girl to be quiet, she would whisper the questions to the boy, hoping to get a response from him. He finally gave in, playing into her game.

“I don't really remember what happened. I just know that my quirk is dangerous… You shouldn't come near me.” The boy's voice shook as he tried to calm himself down. The young girl asked him one more question before he retired for the night.

“Da Da won't give me a name, so will you name me?” Shimura nodded excitedly, already having something in mind.

“Maybe Kira!”

“Why Kira?”

“Sensei said that you're supposed to be his ‘killer’, so Kira suits you best.”

And everyone knew the girl as Kira from then on.

As Kira grew older, she was able to control both her given quirks and her birth given quirks. She was born with a photographic memory quirk, which allowed her to memorize anything she saw, read, or felt and save it deep in her brain and she could write and remake anything she had stored in her memory.

All For One trained her strictly alongside the young boy, who's name was changed to Shigaraki Tomura. Kira’s original quirk was already powerful, but her “father” gave her four more powerful quirks to learn and master. Tomura was carefully mastering his quirk while the young girl was still managing to learn two of her given ones. They both took their lessons very seriously, but they still had more to improve on.

The quirk that Kira learned rather quickly was her creation one. As soon as she could, she designed and made special wearing gloves that would prevent Tomura from destroying everything he touched. She presented her invention to him as soon as she could.

“Tomu, I made you a gift!” She showed the ten year old excitedly as he looked at the gloves with a slight fear. The girl bravely held a glove open for him to slip a hand into, trying to ease him into wearing them. He sighed, slowly putting his hand in to avoid touching Kira on accident.

He closed his eyes, prepared but unwilling to see another thing he destroyed. When he opened his eyes, he saw a glove, slightly loose, on his hand. Undamaged. Beyond thrilled, he put on the other glove and patted the young girl on the head. Running around to touch anything he could, he left Kira behind with an emotionless All For One, who still has more to teach the girl.

“Get ready. I'm taking you outside to train your powers.”

Kira readied herself swiftly, preparing herself at a great speed before the two walked outside in an open field.

As time went by, Kira and Tomura grew stronger and stronger, but they were bound to the base, never to be seen by the outside world…

Gift Giving

Summary: After the summer away, Todoroki does what he does best and presents a dear friend with a gift. Taika does the same. (Please do not copy/steal this idea.)

Sometimes Todoroki Shoto forgot that the Retesuwa beauty didn't grow up in Japan. Sometimes he even forgot that his native tongue wasn't hers. Maybe it was because she seemed to always be so tuned into him, Todoroki somehow assumed Taika knew what he knew.

Which was why he couldn't help but chuckle ever so slightly when it was clear she was confused.  The mattress dipped under Todoroki's weight as he sat on the edge of Taika's bed. Taika sat cross legged on the floor. The items in her suitcase still waited to be placed and hung in her dorm after the summer away.

"Chopsticks?" Taika titled her head at the ornate, decorative sticks with floral charms attached to the top. She smiled stiffly at her friend; unsure what she was meant to do with such pretty utensils...and that was all she could think of.

"These are very pretty, Todoroki. Thank you." Maybe they were supposed to be decorative chopsticks, Taika thought as she wondered what to do with the gift. Would it be bad taste to display them in her pen holder? Was she supposed to eat a meal with them?

Todoroki cleared his throat and gestured at the gift.  "Kanzashi." He picked one pair up and held it up for Taika to examine.

Taika's eyebrows furrowed as her postured straightened as she looked up at the handsome hero in training. Todoroki leaned his face closer to hers, his eyes glued on Taika's lips as she repeated the word.

"Kanzashi?"

Todoroki felt her eyes intently focus on him as he gently tucked back a few loose strands of hair out of Taika's face; his fingers lingered against her brown skin for a split second longer than necessary. Sunlight caught in her cocoa-colored eyes and for a moment, he saw flecks of gold hidden within her eyes. He swallowed down a warm, jittery feeling as he tenderly looped the hair accessory gingerly into locks of curly hair.

If he tried to kiss her..., would she let it happen? Or would that make things awkward right now? Things were a little awkward the last time they almost kissed, and to Todoroki things felt comfortable again. Did he want to risk that right now? Right at the start of their junior year of university?

"Oh, it's a hairpin. Duh! " Taika let out a small, nervous laugh as she pulled away slowly from his touch. Her heart raced like a primed horse about to debut. For a split second, Taika thought maybe the kanzashi meant more, if him being so close meant more. She stopped. No. That couldn't be it.

Being without Todoroki's presence after the summer made her forget how blunt he'd been. So, all he was doing was being blunt, Taika rationalized. It was no different than when he helped her understand other words or customs she didn't know.

She missed that about him; admired him for that even. The teleporter was also thankful that Todoroki never once made her feel small or stupid for not knowing his culture or language.

The kanzashi was beautiful, like him. It was sweet of him to surprise her with such a gift. Like him, however, she had a surprise too.

"I got you something as well." Taika reached into one of the suitcase's many compartments. She breathed out any emotions and thoughts that made her too flustered from Todoroki's gesture. She should be happy enough to simply be back in the presence of one of her favorite people.

Todoroki arched an eyebrow at the teleporter as she handed him a little burlap sack; small amounts of sand fell to the floor, and it faintly smelt like the ocean sea and coconut oil.

"Oh." Surprise was evident in his mismatched eyes as he pulled out a medium sized, white conch shell with red spots and a sand dollar from the little bag. Once, just once, Todoroki mentioned wanting to visit the beaches of Retesuwa and she found a way to bring the beach to him.

Taika studied Todoroki’s face, unsure of the blank yet peaceful expression on his face. “Do you like it?”  She spent the last two weeks of her summer back in Retesuwa near Devil’s Dive, one of the best spots known to locals for its fishing spots and its unforgiving, wild, and angry waves.  Thankfully, Taika Miri was lucky enough to not venture too far deep into the water for Todoroki’s gifts.

Todoroki quietly nodded first before he spoke. “I do. Do they symbolize anything in your culture?” His heterochromatic eyes darted to the conch shell displayed on her desk before he turned his attention back onto her.

"The conch shell is to keep evil spirits away and the sand dollar to keep good fortune in your pocket." Taika explained as if she told Todoroki the weather.

Todoroki looked at the kanzashi in Taika's hair, his heart skipped a few beats as he felt Taika's attention fully on him in return.  "Good fortune only? Do I not need luck?"

The pensive, teasing grin that cracked across Taika's features caused a calming warmth to spread down his shoulders. He missed this.

No, he was lying to himself again. He missed her and the way he felt safe and welcomed in her presence.  He really could have scolded the teleporter for leaving Japan for the summer. He had to deal with the old bastard more as  a result. Everything about that was unlucky if anyone asked Todoroki Shoto.

Taika rolled her brown eyes at him as she stood up and sat right next to the fire and ice user.

"You already have good fortune-leave some luck for the rest of us."

"Well, was it luck or fortune that helped you get a yukata for the festival tonight?" Todoroki inspected the conch shell as if it held a secret only for him.

Taika laughed. "It was Fuyumi and her refusal to let you or me go to the festival in casual clothes."

For a little bit, the world felt full between the two of them as one took the other's hand and gave it a tender and affectionate squeeze.

"Trust me," Todoroki urged as he offered the festive treat up to Taika. "You'll like this."

Taika reached to take the hanami dango from her friend, only for Todoroki to hold the treat over her head.

"No, I'll hold it for you." Todoroki lowered the treat back down for the purple haired beauty.  His tone of voice was gentle, warm, and welcoming, but mainly teasing.

 Taika rolled her eyes at him. "I won't stain the yukata if I feed myself. You know that right? I'm not Denki."

Todoroki smirked at her. "I know."

Still, she leaned in to take a bite of the dango only for Todoroki to pull it away from her lips again. "Taika, you have to say it. " There was a playful glint in his eyes.

The Retesuwa native let out an exaggerated sigh as she obliged Todoroki’s request all the same.  Her frustration completely fake despite the all too familiar way she rolled her eyes at him.

"Itadakimasu," Taika took a bite of the dango and her eyes widened with delight at the simple yet satisfying taste of the treat. "Oh shit, that is good."

Todoroki let out a laugh at Taika's crude stamp of approval.
