Because sometimes I'll pick up a transmission from Please Oh Please Don't Be Mad At Me Island and it shows that the natives are perfectly capable of reason, critical thought, and empathy as long as nobody makes a frowny face at them. Honestly, I did love Fleabag back when it aired, but every year that's gone by has convinced me that a lot of people on social media made this scene their entire personality and now their faces are permanently stuck that way:
