urgh i was REALLY hoping to get chapter 4 up this weekend but the conference ended up being super busy and I didn't have time to work on the fic until today - even after at least 5 hours of writing/editing its... not ready.

we're close, but i started losing steam towards the end and the writing sounds lazier. i need to do another round of edits with a clear head arghhhh asdlfja;ldksfj

dear GOD i really really really want to get it out in the next 1-2 days because i work for the next 15 days straight and it WILL kill me if i have to do MORE edits instead of writing chapter 5 on my next day off

#i way overestimated how much free time i was going to have #i'm certainly not feeling more 'relaxed' lmao #as always i HATE having the vibe of the chapter not being ready for prime-time #because i KNOW i'm right but its not something i can fix by imagining new scenarios #its something that needs. A THESAURUS. and MULTIPLE REREADS #shit takes a lot of time. its always worth it. but still.#on a positive note i read chapter 3 of eih on the airplane #to make sure i wasn't skipping any important stuff in chap 4 #and was like 'wow! this is so good!'#we get so bogged down in the details sometimes its nice to remember my ass writes fic catered for MEEEE and me alone #chap 4 is now @ 6200 words #with a whole part cut out now because i felt like it made it too dense
