FR though. Its a bit of a pet peeve of mine when people push back against this so hard. He's written songs that are overtly about being high. The whole Rancho de la Luna experience was openly influenced by psychedelics, Taylor has been open about the fact that she had a substance abuse problem during the years she was with Alex (that didnt stop at alcohol), and then there are all the TLSP era interviews/performances which anyone who does even a little research on what it looks like when people use certain drugs would be able to tell they're under the influence.

Also, let's not forget the line "do you ever celebrate your dark side, then wish you never left the house?" Coming from an otherwise reserved person who just got off a tour that was characterized by very public drug-fueled antics... I don't think that's all this line is about, but like 👀

idk, man. Seems really hard to deny. And I don't know why anyone would want to. I think Alex's drug use says a lot about him and not to say that he does it responsibly, but he doesn't seem to be an addict either, so I don't see how acknowledging it diminishes him in any way - it just gives us a better understanding of him.
