hmmm i think the return of the ghost motif in this issue is interesting. bc before, the main person it was applied to was marc -- hes died and been resurrected so many times, hes a ghost 3x over. i can find examples of this later. but now we have this "ghost in the telephone" and these hitmen who he brainwashed. "there is nothing after death! just the ghost in the telephone! and the ghost demands company! i am a ghost. i am a weapon." and hmmm. moon knight has also been called a 'human weapon'. cant remember which issue it was but there was one where the commodore or w/e said smth about moon knight being a .45 acp hollow point, like "i dont know what took a man and made him into a bullet." veeeery interesting.......

#its like. this run reckons with the circumstances of moon knights servitude of khonshu a lot #the ethics of it and how its impacted his life post age of khonshu especially #but like. its throwing me back to 'no one can blame you for wanting to live marc' and marcs whole thing abt judaism and perseverance #basically saying Actually they can blame me bc the only reason i wanted to live was to fuel my obsession with violence #and like. this is kind of calling back to that in a way #by implicitly saying marc may not have had as much agency in that transaction as he insists he did #thus his 'ghost in the telephone' is khonshu #OR. im reading this all wrong who knows !!
