Supernatural September - Day 4 | Glitch

Canonically, Dean never said Cas’ name after the fake phone call in 15.19. Canonically, while Bobby said Cas “Helped” revamp Heaven into a Heaven that Dean “deserved,” Cas never showed up. Canonically, Dean left that heaven, which contained his family, to go “find family.”

There is a glitch that is Cas-shaped, and Dean knows it.

You know what? the best supernatural spin off would have nothing to do with the Winchesters and instead would be about Samuel motherfucking Colt because dude absolutely had something going on. And was tripping absolute balls all the fucking time

Dude not only builds a literal kills almost all gun (that no one knows how it works exactly), he also built a fucking devil’s gate and the series of railroad tracks that formed a giant devils trap in the middle of fucking nowhere Wyoming that was somehow also a great fucking hotspot to talk with Lucifer in the cage. Why the fuck would he build a devil’s gate and then the devil trap protecting it? Why could this dude not be normal? Not to mention He also fought a Phoenix!!! A Phoenix! The only Phoenix that has ever been reported to exist and whose ashes are the only thing that can kill the literal mother of all monsters. Which he somehow mails to Sam and Dean in the future using a phone from several years in the future that he literally just got earlier that afternoon.

Dude was on some serious shit. Man was definitely receiving the most violently random prophetic visions from god. Dude literally went, it came to me in a dream and built a weapon that’s literally still confounding people generations later and would function as a key to a fucking devils gate that would literally be the first step in so much shit going down in so little time generations later . Wouldn’t have even surprised me if they also said he was responsible for Ruby’s knife.

He also, most importantly, is from the wild wild fucking west!!! How cool would a show about that be? A fucking genius inventor hunts monsters in the Wild West while some being he knows nothing about but deeply suspects is giving him blueprints for big, wild things and weapons for how to stop them, or at least slow them down.

I'm betting that if Supernatural gets a 16th season and Dean and Cas actually kiss onscreen, some people will still say Destiel doesn't exist and that Dean doesn't love Cas.

sam being evidently dean's defender/enabler is so hot to me. crazy guy always addicted to his poison. freak to the core. does NOT play about his potentially abusive brother.

even when dean treats him like ass and/or walks over him, sam just forgives him or doesn't retaliate bc he genuinely adores him. not only that, sam'd legit choose dean being awful to him over dean not caring about him at all

he just wants dean even if he'll be horrible to him he will work by that. and he will actively reject better alternatives to remain with him. some ppl say he's a battered wife who's entrapped and while i think that's sexy! I think he's not fully entrapped ima be honest. human nature is complicated. sam is a heavily complex character, but i see how he will seek dean time and time again by his own violation, and i kinda give up. he also gets so irreversibly shattered/empty without dean. straight up a shell of a human. he will never be happy without dean. his life stops at dean. he lives by dean's choice, and he'll kill himself if dean sees it necessary. he will take on dean's outbursts. he will do things dean's way except when it's concerning losing dean, then sam'll get all retaliative and stubborn and not fall through. he will take the brunt of dean's pain if he could. he'll be complicit in hurting ppl precious to him. he will go against his principles he will be everything and nothing all at once for dean, and that's wowie

I think a (not big but still there) part of why Jess was having such a hard time admitting that he worked at Walmart was that he would have to admit that Dean was working for the independent mom-and-popstore movement (at least pre Soda-shoppe) while Jess anti-establishment-counter-culture-wannabe-punk-rock Mariano himself was working for The Man

I finished my S1 rewatch of supernatural and I have some disorganised thoughts to share

I had forgotten how young they looked, I'm currently older than sam and almost the same age as dean and it's unreal to me

S1 is definitely one of the scariest seasons, there were some bangers that I remembered with startling clarity because they actually scared me so much ("dead in the water", "hookman")

the racist truck episode still has one of the best monologues given by a secondary character ever, in the history of the entire show

the pilot was actually great

man, this shit was problematic. I didn't see it on my first watch because I was young and ignorant of many things: ep2 was racist but decently written, "bugs" was racist and also just awful

supernatural in a nutshell: the worst episode ever ("bugs") followed by one of the best episodes in the show ("home")
