omg babesssss if anyone has any ideas for what various knights' mecha should be named speak now or forever hold your peace
#gawaine's is gringolet/galatine (it's complicated). arthur's is excaliber. modred's is clarent. lancelot's is secace. galahad's is based#on the red-hilt sword and doesn't really have a name but that's deliberate for thematic reasons which have to do with the switch lancelot#has to make between secace and galahad's mech after galahad's death and serves to exemplify#how jarring it is bc secace. despite having a name. is a mass-produced mech which usually would only have a serial number or smthing.#it has a name bc lancelot named it himself just bc. meanwhile galahad's mech. despite being a one of a kind model. doesn't have a name bc#no one cared for it enough to give it one. it's a top-of-the-line mech but that's... it. galahad's mech is as cold and clinical as one of#those minimalist apartments. galahad's mech only serves to exacerbate the feelings of detachment dehumanization and isolation that lead to#galahad ending his own life as even withing the walls of his own mech he was unable to feel like he belonged.#meanwhile lancelot. who had previously felt connected enough to his mech to name it. now finds himself all but forced to pilot a mech which#he greatly dislikes. yet can't help but connect a few dots between the way that the mech is put on a pedestal and practically worshipped#yet is unable to connect to anything else to a seemingly basic degree. and the fate of its former pilot (who he's constantly reminded of by#the fact that he's piloting the mech at all)#anyways. tristan isn't a mecha pilot but his dogfighter is called fail-not#romeo.txt
