had to reblog previous tags because this explains it perfectly. the hair in the above images is blonde, not brown.

this is about what my natural hair color is and i never know what to call it bc ive seen people call this color both blonde & brown so. pls reblog im curious as to what the common consensus is

#sorry but a lot of people here need to either get their eyes or their screens checked #as someone who had red hair when i was really little & then blond hair when i was a teen (it's dirty blond now)#this. is. blond.#blond =/= white. blond =/= platinum. taylor swift? her hair is 100% dyed. that is not her natural hair colour.#she may be blond but it's dyed lighter with highlights #same with every other celebrity with that type of blond & parents that very obviously have darker hair #a lot of people with lighter hair go darker as they age so most people dye it to keep the lighter colour #THESE pictures is not brown though. this is what blond looks like 75% of the time #the other times it being redder or yellower or lighter or whatever #still can't believe people think this is brown. fucking BROWN. are you serious?? good lird #& for people saying ''it's the lighting!!'' yeah. exactly. it's the lighting that tells me it's blond #because if it wasn't it wouldn't look like that in the light. it wouldn't ''shine'' blond #brown hair doesn't have that type of ''reflection'' on it. it's usually browner & darker as a result of the hair itself being darker #blond will turn golden in light. & no i'm not being all ''cerulean eyes with a hint of seafoam in certain lighting''#i mean that in a well lit place blond hair looks yellow. it's as simple as that #you don't base colours off of what they look like in the dark #this shit has kept me up waaay too long i'm done ranting. goodnight
