it is kind of nuts to me when people fall for very basic misdirection in tv shows. like not to be all 'i'm better at watching tv than other people are' but sometimes actually i do think i'm better at watching tv than other people are

#this post inspired by watching yet another smart thoughtful steven universe reactor fall for the yellow diamond misdirect in 'the trial'#aka the single most obvious misdirect in that entire children's cartoon lol #but it applies to many shows frankly #i've seen people fall for obvious misdirects in shows like buffy and better call saul as well #and it's always just kind of strange to me #but maybe. i'm just the best ever at watching tv.
